Just A Peek: Dodge Officially Teases 2011 Charger Interior

We've more or less seen the new Charger's interior already through countless spy photos over the recent months, but those Dodge boys, who just love to tease us all, decided to throw us a bone anyway on the official 2011 Charger website.

From the teaser shot, we know for sure the Charger will have the same steering wheel as the recently revealed interior of the 2011 Durango and Dodge is promising better materials and excellent fit 'n finish for everyone's favorite rebel American sedan (not that that's a extremely difficult thing to do in the first place).

Much nicer than the current one. The interior was the biggest thing that held me back from ANY of the LX cars. I like the 300c from the outside and when looking under the hood.... but the badness of the current interior, I just couldn't get over.

More Charger Interior Details: Dodge to Offer Red Seats

Sunday, 10th October, 2010 by "black-knight"

So, it seems someone over at Allpar had an eye observant enough to notice that the seats shown through the rear window of the recently revealed Charger were a color other than the standard Chrysler choices of gray, black, or tan. (Hey, Dodge was bound to let one nip slip throughout all of this teasing.) When was the last time the Charger offered a red interior option? 1978?

When was the last time the Charger offered a red interior option? We're not sure, but we'd bet that the president of the time is probably a dead man today.

Lee Iacocca is still alive and well...

I meant the President of the United States, smart guy. :P

There was likely one still one on a dealer lot when Bush Sr. was being inaugurated.

Of course, if you don't think the L-body Chargers are "true" Chargers, then the "last B-body Charger" was in 1978... and had a red interior option. Carter is still alive, too.

IIRC the Charger will offer four interior color combinations. Nice to to know it'll more imaginative than shades of gray. Hopefully the 2011 Challenger gets some new colors as well.

I've never quite knew how to feel about the L-Body Charger, and as for Carter and the '78 Charger ... well, alright. Checkmate. :P

this design would probably look really good with big color contrasts inside. like white leather or red or orange.......

Yeah, a white interior (not cream, alabaster or sand, but REAL white) would be very cool.

Makes me wonder when the last true white interior was offered in a Dodge... or any American car, for that matter...

In a Chrysler... probably the LeBarron Convertible.

In a Dodge... probably their last K-Car convertible.

The Cutlass Supreme had a white leather interior in convertibles up until 1995.

i've been desperately wanting to see a real live Mercury Sable Voga....... about as close to white leather i have come across on recent domestic vintage cars.

At least the Mariner Voga I sat in it was pretty much white. Pretty nice too!
