It seems someone at Ford wasn't paying attention and allowed some photos from their recent dealer conference to appear on a public site. Off-Road.com got their hands on some photos that were "publicly accessible part of a Ford website." The photos are from last month's dealer meeting in Las Vegas. The key picture that everyone is talking about is the one seen above, showing a new SUV's front and side profile, and an angled shot. Off-Road originally reported this was the Bronco, but later reports from Automotive News and Motor Authority say it is the new Baby Bronco. We tend to with the latter as the photos match up with this teaser released by Ford back in March. It certainly is drawing on the DNA from the 1960's Bronco with a square profile and round headlights - LEDs in this case. The Ford name is in block letters and sits between the headlights. As we reported in August, this new Baby Bronco will use the underpinnings of the new Ford Focus. Unsurprisingly, Ford declined to comment on this.

Next month at the Geneva Motor Show, Volvo will be showing off the new V60 wagon. At least that was the plan. Only a few hours after Volvo dropped a teaser video, a couple pictures of the supposed model made their way online. The pictures, which first appeared on Bosnian site AutoMotoSvijet have been since taken down, but not before various other sites grabbed copies. As we suspected from spy shots last month, the new V60 looks like a downsized V90 with a clean profile and taillights that extend upward on the tailgate. We're expecting a similar interior design found in the XC60, along with the choice of the T5, T6, and T8 plug-in hybrid powertrains. Volvo will be revealing the V60 at an event next week and we'll be sure to bring you the details. Source: AutoMotoSvijet via CarScoops, Motor Authority View full article

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles was hoping to a make a splash next Monday with the debut of 2019 Ram 1500 at the Detroit Auto Show. But someone spoiled the surprise. A user on Reddit posted a picture of a 2019 Ram 1500 inside a Fiat Chrysler plant - our hunch being the Warren, MI plant. The 3/4 shot gives us our best look at the truck and matches up with previous spy photos. The most apparent change that will sway your decision to liking to disliking the truck is the new grille. Ram appears to be doing away with the crosshair grille that has been a design trademark since the 1994 model. Instead, there is a smaller, octagonal grille with 'RAM' nestled in the middle. We're expecting this will be one of many grille designs on offer. Other details we can tell is the 1500 designation has moved from the doors on to the hood. The side profile looks similar to the current Ram 2500/3500 HD models. Here is what else we know about the upcoming Ram 1500 Engines to include a 3.6L V6, 5.7L HEMI V8, and 3.0L EcoDiesel V6 Aluminum hood and tailgate Possibly a split tailgate Newest version of FCA's UConnect Source: Reddit Pic Credit: Eisenj on Reddit View full article

The updated 2019 MKC will not be Lincoln's only debut for the LA Auto Show. Yesterday, the automaker released a mysterious teaser video revealing that another model will make its debut on November 28th. We possibly know what that model is thanks to some leaked photos. A video made its way onto YouTube with a slideshow of photos of the updated MKX or what it will now be known as the Nautilus. Like the MKC, the Nautilus gets a new rectangular grille from the Navigator and LED headlights. Like the Continental, the Nautilus features nameplates on the door. The interior appears to be unchanged for the most part. We'll have more details on the Nautilus later today. Source: oTo Cars on YouTube H/T to Chris Doane Automotive View full article

It is no secret that Chevrolet will be debuting a new Corvette ZR1. Numerous spy shots have revealed Chevrolet is going all out with a large rear wing, larger intakes, and distinctly shaped hood. We now have gotten our first look at the new ZR1 thanks to a leak. Corvette Blogger got their hands on a leaked image of Car and Driver's December issue which has the Corvette ZR1 front and center. The model matches up perfectly with spy photos with the various aero bits and large air intakes. The cover also reveals the ZR1 will be packing 750 horsepower, but we don't know what engine will be providing that power (our guess is a supercharged V8). Corvette Blogger also revealed that the ZR1 will likely debut in Dubai. A reader living in the UAE sent Corvette Blogger an invitation for a special celebratory event to mark the Corvette's 65th birthday on November 12th. A couple of outlets have confirmed this event by saying they will be going. After the cover leaked out, Chevrolet released a teaser video of the new Corvette with the November 12th date. Source: CorvetteBlogger, Chevrolet (Author's Note: At the time of this writing, CorvetteBlogger is currently down. We'll keep you posted when it goes back up).

Rolls-Royce Teases Next Phantom After Leaked Shots Come Out
William Maley posted an article in Rolls-Royce
Rolls-Royce has released a teaser picture of the upcoming 2018 Phantom before its official debut on July 27. It seems evolution is the order of the day as there appear to be no major changes. The only changes we can pick out are headlights sporting full LEDs and a new grille shape. This picture comes a day after a trio of leaked Phantom images made their way on to a Chinese automotive site. The pictures reveal certain details such as a new grille, revised bumper, and a side profile similar to the smaller Ghost sedan. The interior looks to come with a digital instrument cluster, new vent locations, and possibly a larger infotainment system hidden by a panel. The next Phantom will debut an all-new aluminum architecture that will underpin future models including the upcoming Cullinan crossover. Source: Rolls-Royce, AutoHome.com.cn Press Release is on Page 2 ROLLS-ROYCE TEASES NEW PHANTOM AS IT ANNOUNCES THE FINAL ICONS TO JOIN ‘THE GREAT EIGHT PHANTOMS’ EXHIBITION Today, as excitement builds towards the premiere of ‘The Great Eight Phantoms’ Exhibition at Bonhams in Mayfair, London next week, Rolls-Royce has announced the final three great Phantoms that will join the event. In addition it has released one teaser image of New Phantom – the eighth Great Phantom which will debut at the Exhibition and will be streamed online at 21.00hrs British Summer Time on 27 July 2017 at www.greatphantoms.com. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II has graciously assented to her Phantom VI State Limousine being present for the public to see. Also joining the Exhibition are the Phantom IV that belonged to the Aga Khan III –one of 18 such Phantoms built only for Royalty and Heads of State; and the First Goodwood Phantom VII, which began the renaissance of Rolls-Royce on 1 January 2003. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s Phantom VI State Limousine Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II has graciously assented to her Phantom VI State Limousine being present at ‘The Great Eight Phantoms’ – A Rolls-Royce Exhibition for the British public to see. In 1977, to mark her Silver Jubilee, the UK's Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders gifted Her Majesty a new official State Limousine, a custom-built Phantom VI. The most striking aspect of this Park Ward-bodied Phantom VI is its raised roofline, supporting an enormous expanse of toughened glass. It enables Her Majesty, and indeed other members of the Royal family who use the vehicle to see and (more importantly) be seen. This Phantom, like others in the Royal Fleet, had the 'Royal mascot' of St. George slaying the dragon put in place of the Spirit of Ecstasy when Her Majesty was on board, apart from when she visited Scotland, when a silver lion is used instead. It also had a fitment to hold the Queen's Shield and the Royal Standard. As with all the fleet it was finished in Royal Claret and Black Livery and being a state car, it had no need for a number plate. The Phantom VI was present at another milestone in The Queen's long reign in 2011. On April 29 of that year Prince William, her grandson, married Kate Middleton. The Duchess of Cambridge and her father were driven to the Abbey in the Phantom VI, taking full advantage of the panoramic glass to give the delighted crowds the best possible view of her last few minutes as Kate Middleton before she transformed into a Princess; a happy ending for both Kate and the splendid Silver Jubilee Phantom VI. ‘The Aga Khan Phantom IV’ The second Royal Phantom to be present at the Exhibition will be that of the Aga Khan III. The Aga Khan III is famous for combining a jetset lifestyle as thoroughbred horse owner with his role as leader of the Nizari Ismaili Muslim community. The Aga Khan was among just 18 heads of state and members of royal families to commission a Rolls-Royce Phantom IV. Aga Khan III was President of The League of Nations from 1937 to 1938, but also owned five Derby winners and won British flat racing’s Champion Owner title 13 times. He liked the finest things in life and so his choice of a Rolls-Royce Phantom IV was no surprise. The Hooper coachwork of the Aga Khan's Phantom IV has remarkable flowing lines, the rear wheels are enclosed and the body is in the Sedanca de Ville style, whilst the interior features sumptuous red leather, using Connolly hides. It took two years to build, from 1950 to 1952, thanks to its many bespoke additions; an adjustable mirror, concealed silver brush, comb and compact – all engraved with the Aga Khan's royal crest which was also to be seen on the doors – as well as a built-in Dictaphone and a full picnic set. ‘The Aga Khan Phantom IV’ has been kindly loaned to ‘The Great Eight Phantoms’ by Mr Ion Tiriac. The First Goodwood Phantom – Phantom VII The First Goodwood Phantom is the motor car that began the renaissance of Rolls-Royce in 2003. Known at the time as “the last great adventure in automotive history”, this renaissance has seen Rolls-Royce retake its rightful place as the world’s leading luxury brand with highly progressive models beginning with Phantom, then Ghost, Wraith and Dawn, and the only true luxury approach to satisfying the desires of every individual customer – Bespoke. Three months after its debut at 00.01 on 1 January 2003, the First Goodwood Phantom was shipped from Southampton, England to Perth, Western Australia for its Australian debut in April 2003. Following that debut, the Phantom was to undertake its first big adventure in the hands of its owner – a 4,500-mile epic drive across Australia. The route left Perth, heading down the coast of Western Australia, across the Nullarbor Plain to Adelaide in South Australia, then into Victoria and along the Great Ocean Road until finally arriving at the Harbour Bridge in Sydney, New South Wales. The owner provided daily updates of ‘driver impressions’ to the team back at Goodwood, declaring the new Phantom to be “a Grand Tourer in the truest sense of the words”. The car performed faultlessly, its only issue some sand that had entered the Spirit of Ecstasy retraction mechanism during a dust storm in the Australian desert. 14 years after its creation, this First Goodwood Phantom remains in exceptional condition. It is loaned to ‘The Great Eight Phantoms’ – A Rolls-Royce Exhibition by its owner, the same gentleman who originally commissioned it. ‘The Great Eight Phantoms’ – A Rolls-Royce Exhibition will take place at Bonhams, 101 New Bond Street, London, from 29 July to the 2 August. The Exhibition is held in support of The Princes’ Trust to which voluntary donations are invited.- 2 comments

Oops! Honda Accidentally Reveals the Upcoming Civic Si's Torque Figure
William Maley posted an article in Honda
Honda was hoping to surprise us all with the power figures of the upcoming Civic Si, but part of the surprise has been spoiled. A member of the CivicX forum posted an email from Honda saying the Civic Si would boast 192 pound-feet of torque from a turbocharged 1.5L four. This number was confirmed by a Honda representative to Road & Track. Compared to the outgoing Si's naturally-aspirated 2.4L engine, the new engine produces 18 more pound-feet (174 vs. 192). We still have questions for the upcoming Civic Si. What is the horsepower rating for the Civic Si? Also, does all of the torque arrive on the low end or high end of the rpm band? We'll hopefully have answers in the near future. Source: CivicX, Road & Track -

This is the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk and before you ask, it doesn't have the 707 horsepower Hellcat V8. Jalopnik's Truck Yeah was the first to report on these pictures that leaked out last night. Much like the Cherokee and Renegade Trailhawk, the Grand Cherokee Trailhawk gets some improvements to make it more capable off road. There appears to be a suspension lift (we're guessing about an inch), a set of Goodyear off-road tires, skid plates, and tow hooks finished in red. We'll have more details when Chrysler unveils the Grand Cherokee Trailhawk next week at the New York Auto Show. Source: Truck Yeah! View full article

Buick was hoping to keep the curtain closed on 2017 Encore before its debut at the New York Auto Show. But a Chinese website has ruined that. auto.tom.com got their hands on some leaked photos of the Chinese-market Buick Encore which matches up perfectly with the updated Opel/Vauxhall Mokka that debuted at the Geneva Motor Show with a revised front end. This is likely what we'll be seeing in a couple weeks time at New York. It is expected that the Encore will have the turbocharged SIDI 1.4 four-cylinder (found in the Touring model with 153 horsepower), along with a revised dashboard and compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Tomorrow, Alfa Romeo will be showing the long awaited Giulia sedan. But the folks at CarScoops got their hands on two pictures before the debut. The pictures show the model using a number of cues from other Alfa models such as the trunk lid and taillights. Judging from the pictures, it appears this particular Giulia is a performance model with blacked-out wheels and twin-tailpipes. We'll have more on the Giulia when Alfa Romeo reveals it tomorrow. A few months ago we were given a tightly cropped teaser of the upcoming 2016 Chevrolet Volt that showed... Well, a bit of paint and a badge. Now, after a private event for current Volt owners was held, another teaser image has surfaced. It was sent in to Jalopnik by an attendee of the event who described the new car as "fantastic." This reader also dished on some additional details regarding its upgraded charging system, including a GPS-based system that allows you to tailor your charge depending on whether you're at home or the office. This system also alloys you to program the time and amperage for charging on or off peak hours. With a reveal set for the 2015 North American International Auto Show in January, we only have another month and a half until the 2016 Volt is officially announced. Until then, head over to Jalopnik to see the teaser pic in question and all the juicy details. Link to Original Article: Jalopnik: 2016 Chevrolet Volt: This Is Some Of It

By William Maley Staff Writer - CheersandGears.com February 13, 2013 Everyone has been going somewhat crazy with a PowerPoint presentation given to analysts at Deutsche Bank by Ford. The reason? Well, one of the slides in the presentation has a Ford Edge that's not like the current model. That has everyone thinking that the Edge in the presentation is what the next generation model will look like. The somewhat blurry image from the slide shows the Edge keeping its current shape. The only changes are a new front clip with redesigned grille, headlamps, and lower fascia with integrated fog lights. Is this the next-generation Ford Edge? We don't know if it is or not. William Maley Staff Writer - CheersandGears.com August 14, 2012 Land Rover hasn't exactly managed to keep its new Range Rover under wraps; spy shots with the new car wearing light camo or being caught in the factory. Now, two images that are allegedly official photos of the new Range Rover have leaked on to the web. The two pictures match up with spy shots of the Range Rover that have been caught over the past few months. As we been reporting for the past few months, expect the next Range Rover to drop a lot of weight from the current model thanks to a new aluminum frame and lightweight components used throughout the body. Expect a range of V8s and a hybrid model. Also, there is talk of a 3.0L Supercharged Six making its way. Source: CarScoop William Maley is a staff writer for Cheers & Gears.
