  1. Currently, the Challenger and Charger Hellcats are basking in the performance spotlight at Chrysler. But before these two models arrived, the model that had the spotlight was the Viper with its 640 horsepower and 600 pound-feet of torque. But the Viper wants the spotlight back. Allpart has gotten two reports of supercharged V10 engines being delivered to Chrysler. Allpar speculates the supercharger will allow the Viper to sit above the 707 horsepower from the Hellcat V8 and possibly get 800. But it comes down to whether or not the current internals of the Viper can handle all of that power. Allpar notes that current transmission, the Tremec TR-6060 can handle up to 650 pound-feet of torque. There is a transmission from Tremec, the “Magnum XL” which can handel 700 pound-feet. But to get that into the Viper, it would require some changes to the vehicle. We'll be keeping a close eye and ear to this story. Source: Allpar William Maley is a staff writer for Cheers & Gears. 3. From the album: 1995 Buick Riviera (supercharged) - Accident 2

The following pics of the riviera (her glamour shots) were taken when I went to the previous owner's home to view and test drive the riviera. The Car was bought brand new buy her ex-husband. She won the Riviera as part of the divorce. :-p She was ready to sell the Riviera because she just purchased a band new Buick LaCrosse. It made me feel all warm and sentimental to buy my Riviera from a a huge Buick fan. She was happy to know it was going to someone who would love her as her family had loved her.
  4. William Maley Staff Writer - CheersandGears.com December 9, 2013 Just a couple days after Chevrolet announced that 2015 Corvette Z06 will debut at the Detroit Auto Show, the fine folks at Automobile Magazine got their hands on some new spy shots of a Z06 mule undergoing some testing. Now the pictures reveal some information that we have known about since Chevrolet showed off a teaser shot such as the enlarged brakes, the unique black multispoke wheels, and air vents on the fenders to keep the brakes cool. One item that is very notable is a raised hood, possibly bulge or scoop. A source tells Automobile that the Z06 could be packing a supercharged version of the Stingray's 6.2L V8, hence the raised hood. Called LT4, this new engine could pack between 600 to 650 horsepower. Now there are two other engines in the running as well. Previous rumors have said the Z06 will use an updated version of the 7.0L V8 or a turbocharged V8 of some kind. The front end features some changes as well, mostly for improved cooling and aero. Source: Automobile Magazine William Maley is a staff writer for Cheers & Gears. 6. William Maley Staff Writer - CheersandGears.com June 6, 2013 A few weeks ago in the rumorpile, we reported that Chrysler was working on a Supercharged HEMI V8, codenamed Hellcat. This new engine is expected to be 6.2L and pack power somewhere between 560 to 640 horsepower. Well, a spy photographer this week got shots of a Challenger mule that is purported to have the Hellcat V8. Clues that lead us to this belief is a set of larger brakes with bigger calipers and cross-drilled front discs. Second is a different and larger exhaust. Finally, the headlights on the driver's side are missing. This could be due to engineers testing an intake system. This new engine is rumored to come out in 2014. We'll be keeping a close eye on this. Source: Automobile Magazine William Maley is a staff writer for Cheers & Gears.
