VOLKSWAGEN OF AMERICA REPORTS APRIL 2015 SALES April sales total 30,009 units The all-new Golf family of vehicles delivered 5,508 units, a 206 percent increase, the best April since 2000 The Golf GTI delivered 1,905 units, a 97 percent increase Golf delivered 1,739 units for the month, a 109 percent increase e-Golf delivered 309 units, the best month ever for the vehicle Jetta sedan delivered 11,440 units, a 5.4 percent increase Tiguan delivered 2,402 units, a 20 percent increase High-mileage, TDI® Clean Diesel models accounted for 21.4 percent of sales in April Herndon, VA (May 1, 2015) — Volkswagen of America, Inc. (VWoA) today reported sales of 30,009 units delivered in April 2015. The all-new Golf continued to find success in the market with the addition of the Golf R and the start of sales for the all-new Golf SportWagen, which was announced as the official vehicle of USA Cycling on April 30th. In April, Golf family sales totaled 5,508 units, marking the best April for the Golf family since 2000. “We are encouraged by the performance of the Golf family, delivering the best April in15 years, and happy to see the momentum is amplified by the addition of the Golf R and Golf SportWagen joining the lineup,” said Mark McNabb, chief operating officer, Volkswagen of America. The Chattanooga-built Passat totaled 6,623 units delivered for the month. Volkswagen recently introduced the value laden Limited Edition model, which has a starting MSRP of $23,995. Replacing the Wolfsburg and SE trims, the Limited Edition features the fuel-efficient 1.8-liter TSI engine and a six-speed automatic transmission, along with a standard rearview camera, push-button start, power driver’s seat, and touchscreen radio. The Jetta, which was refreshed for the 2015 model year and has a suite of available driver assistance features, continued to show its strength as a core model, with11,440 units delivered, a 5.4 percent increase over the previous April. The Tiguan delivered 2,402 units marking a 20 percent increase over the previous April. The Touareg, refreshed for 2015, delivered 619 units: 323 of these were TDI® Clean Diesel models, amounting to 52.2 percent of sales.

BMW Group U.S. Reports April 2014 Sales BMW brand sales up 8.5 percent MINI brand sales down 24.1 percent Woodcliff Lake, NJ – May 1, 2014… The BMW Group in the U.S. (BMW and MINI combined) reported April sales of 29,592 vehicles, an increase of 2.0 percent from the 29,011 vehicles sold in the same month a year ago. Year-to-date, the BMW Group (BMW and MINI combined) is up 2.5 percent on sales of 110,626 in the first four months of 2014 compared to 107,968 in the same period in 2013. BMW Brand Sales Sales of BMW brand vehicles increased 8.5 percent in April for a total of 25,202 compared to 23,225 vehicles sold in April, 2013. Year-to-date, the BMW brand is up 10.7 percent on sales of 97,579 compared to 88,127 sold in the first four months of 2013. “April started and ended strong, which is not typical with spring break, holidays, and taxes due during the month,” said Ludwig Willisch, President and CEO, BMW of North America. “The increasing momentum including launch of new diesel models in the X3 and 7 Series and the first sales this month of the born-electric BMW i3 gives us considerable optimism for May and June.” In April, best performing vehicles included the 2 Series, up 16.1 percent to 727 units; the 3/4 Series, up 18.9 percent to 9,794 units; the X3 Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV), up 85.2 percent to 3,544 units; and the X5 SAV, up 27.6 percent to 4,393 units. MINI Brand Sales For April, MINI USA reported 4,390 automobiles, a decrease of 24.1 percent from the 5,786 automobiles sold in the same month a year ago. Year-to-date, MINI USA reported a total of 13,047 automobiles, a decrease of 34.2 percent from the 19,841 automobiles sold in the first four months of 2013.

Audi achieves best April sales in company history; second highest monthly result ever April marks the 40th consecutive record month of sales, with more than 15,000 vehicles sold Strong demand for all-new Audi A3, as well as premium segment vehicles, led sales growth Audi Certified pre-owned sales set 9th straight monthly record HERNDON, Va., May 1, 2014 – Audi reported April 2014 sales of 15,653 vehicles, which stands as the brand’s 40th consecutive month of record monthly sales and second-best month ever. Audi sales year-to-date increased 7.5% to 50,881 vehicles sold. “The launch of the all-new A3 Sedan gives Audi an even broader product portfolio and the opportunity to reach more luxury buyers in the premium compact segment,” said Mark Del Rosso, Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer, Audi of America. “In its first month of retail sales, the Audi A3 was a top seller in April, with over 2,000 vehicles sold.” Luxury sedan sales remained strong as the Audi A6 increased 11.9% to 2,132 vehicles sold for the month, while year-to-date demand for the A6 increased 20.5% to 7,568 vehicles sold. Sales of the Audi A7 rose 26.5% in April to 816 vehicles sold, while demand for the A7 increased 7.1% to 2,922 vehicles sold YTD. April results were bolstered by sales of Audi luxury SUVs, with the Audi Q7 luxury crossover posting a 23.6% gain in April on 1,462 units delivered for the month and year-to-date sales increased 35.9% to a total of 5,551 vehicles. Year-to-date sales for the Audi Q5 crossover increased 5.5% YOY. April 2014 was the 9th consecutive record month for Audi Certified pre-owned vehicles sales with an increase of 13.7%, to a total of 3,702 CPO vehicles sold in the most-recent month, and a year-to-date increase of 13.8%. Highlights: Sales mix for Audi S performance variants finished the month at 15.3% for the S4 sedan; 34.3% for the S5/ RS 5; 4.5% for the S6; 27% for the S7 / RS 7; 9.5% for the S8; 37% for the TTS and TTS Roadster, and 8.6% for the SQ5 crossover. Sales of Audi A6 increased to 11.9% compared to April 2013; YTD sales grew 20.5% compared to previous period. Sales of Audi A7 increased 26.5% compared to April 2013; YTD sales grew 7.1% compared to previous period. Sales of the Audi Q5 increased 1.6% compared to April 2013; YTD sales grew 5.5% compared to previous period. Sales of the Audi Q7 increased 23.6% compared to April 2013; YTD sales grew 35.9% compared to previous period. April sales mix for Audi TDI models: Audi A6 TDI at 14.2% on 303 vehicles sold; Audi A7 TDI at 11% on 90 vehicles; A8 TDI at 11.7% on 52 vehicles; Audi Q5 TDI at 16.2% on 532 vehicles, and for the Audi Q7 TDI at 28% on 410 vehicles; with an overall mix of 17% on 1,387 total TDI sales for April. Audi Certified pre-owned sales increased 13.7% to 3,702 vehicles in April; YTD CPO sales rose 13.8% to 14,016 vehicles sold. The all-new 2015 Audi A3 sedan models officially went on sale April 3 with 2,159 vehicles sold in its first month of retail sales. Audi holds the longest running monthly record sales streak in the premium car market according to a completive sales report from MotorIntelligence.com.

The Jeep®, Dodge, Ram Truck and FIAT brands each posted year-over-year sales gains in April compared with the same month a year ago. The Jeep brand’s 52 percent increase was the largest sales gain of any Chrysler Group brand during April and its best sales month ever. Chrysler Group extended its streak of year-over-year sales gains to 49-consecutive months in April. “Strong consumer demand for our Jeep sport-utility vehicles and Ram pickup trucks continued in April as Chrysler Group extended its streak to 49-consecutive months of year-over-year sales gains,” said Reid Bigland, Head of U.S. Sales. “The spring selling season is heating up as our Jeep brand had its best monthly sales ever. Both of our minivans had a strong April and the Ram pickup truck had its best April sales ever.” Seven Chrysler Group vehicles set sales records in the month of April. The Jeep Compass recorded its best sales month ever. The Ram pickup truck, Jeep Patriot, Jeep Wrangler, Dodge Challenger, Dodge Journey, and Ram Cargo Van each posted their best sales for the month of April. Both minivans had a good month. Sales of the Dodge Grand Caravan were up 36 percent in April, the largest year-over-year percentage sales increase of any Dodge brand model in April, while sales of the Chrysler Town & Country minivan increased 16 percent. Chrysler Group finished the month of April with a 74 days supply of inventory (505,965 units). U.S. industry sales figures for April are internally projected at an estimated 16.3 million units Seasonally Adjusted Annual Rate (SAAR). April 2014 U.S. Sales Highlights by Brand Jeep® Brand Jeep brand sales were up 52 percent in April, the brand’s best monthly sales ever and the largest percentage sales gain of any Chrysler Group brand for the month. The Jeep Compass logged its best sales month ever, while the Jeep Wrangler and Patriot each set a sales record for the month of April. Sales of the Patriot compact SUV were up 44 percent, the largest percentage sales gain of any Jeep brand vehicle during the month. Sales of the all-new Jeep Cherokee, just named to Ward’s list of the “10 Best Interiors for 2014,” were up 9 percent compared with sales in the previous month of March. In addition to the Ward’s accolade, the Cherokee in April was named the “SUV of the Year” by the voting media members of the Rocky Mountain Automotive Press (RMAP) association. The flagship Jeep Grand Cherokee, with its 4 percent year-over-year increase, had its best April sales in nine years. The all-new 2015 Jeep Renegade made its North American debut last month at the New York International Auto Show. True to the Jeep brand, the Renegade is the most capable, fuel-efficient and technologically advanced small SUV ever. With a pair of new 4x4 systems, two fuel-efficient MultiAir engines, and available, segment-first nine-speed automatic transmission that helps achieve more than 30 miles per gallon on the highway, the Renegade is engineered to deliver new levels of capability and innovation in the small SUV segment. Ram Truck Brand Sales of the Ram pickup truck were up 17 percent in April, the truck’s best ever April sales performance and its 48th-consecutive month of year-over-year sales gains. Ram Light Duty sales increased 7 percent in April, while Ram Heavy Duty pickups were up 32 percent. The Ram 1500 and 2500 pickups were named “Top Rated Vehicles” by Edmunds.com during the New York International Auto Show press days last month. In addition, the 1500 was named a 2014 Automobile Magazine All-Star by the publication’s editorial staff for the second year in a row and the fourth time in the past five years. With its 77 percent increase, the Ram Cargo Van logged its best ever April sales, while the Ram ProMaster van posted an 11 percent increase compared with the previous month of March. Ram Truck brand sales were up 22 percent in April, the brand’s best sales in the month of April since 2006. The brand unveiled the 2014 Ram Power Wagon, the most off-road capable pickup, at the New York International Auto Show last month. Built to master the most rigorous off-road trails, the Power Wagon is based on the Ram 2500 Heavy Duty 4x4 Crew Cab, and features a number of off-road-specific engineering enhancements, including a unique suspension with more than two inches of lift, locking differentials and a 12,000-pound winch to give the truck a significant advantage over all production pickups. FIAT Brand FIAT brand sales were up 10 percent in April, the brand’ best sales performance ever in the month of April and its fifth-consecutive month of year-over-year sales gains. With its 60 percent year-over-year increase, the Fiat 500 Cabrio Abarth posted the largest percentage sales gain of any Fiat 500 model in April. The high-performance 2015 Fiat 500 Abarth and Abarth Cabrio, showcased at last month’s New York International Auto Show, will be available with an optional six-speed automatic transmission, helping to broaden the customer base for the high-performance version of the 500. Adding the optional automatic transmission makes the 500 Abarth and 500 Abarth Cabrio accessible to an entirely new group of customers who want to enjoy the thrilling driving experience of the 500 Abarth with the convenience of an automatic gearbox. Dodge Brand Dodge brand sales were up slightly in April, compared with the same month a year ago. It was the Dodge brand’s best April sales since 2008. The Dodge Challenger and the Dodge Journey mid-size crossover each posted their best April sales ever, while the Dodge Durango full-size SUV recorded its best April sales in nine years. Durango sales were up 4 percent in April compared with the same month a year ago, extending its run of year-over-year sales gains to 18-consecutive months. The Journey has set three consecutive monthly sales records this year, including an all-time record in March. Sales of the Dodge Grand Caravan minivan were up 36 percent in April, the largest percentage sales gain of any Dodge vehicle during the month. The Dodge brand unveiled the new 2015 Dodge Charger and Dodge Challenger at last month’s New York International Auto Show. These iconic performance cars will go on sale in the U.S. later this year. The brand completely re-engineered the Challenger with a new best-in-class 485 hp 392 HEMI and TorqueFlite eight-speed transmission powertrain, an upgraded suspension, new class-exclusive technologies and a completely new interior. The new Dodge Charger gets a full-body makeover for 2015 along with powertrain updates that include a standard TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission on both the Charger’s standard 3.6-liter V-6 Pentastar engine and, new for 2015, the R/T equipped 5.7-liter HEMI V-8. Dodge designers have resculpted nearly every single body panel of the Dodge Charger for 2015, giving it a sleek, nimble appearance. The Dodge Dart took home the Compact Car of Texas award last month from the Texas Auto Roundup hosted by the Texas Auto Writers Association (TAWA). Chrysler Brand Sales of the award-winning Chrysler Town & Country minivan were up 16 percent in April, compared with the same month a year ago. It was the minivan’s best April sales since 2010 and its ninth-consecutive month of year-over-year sales gains. The Town & Country was named the Minivan of Texas and the Family Car of Texas at last month’s TAWA Texas Auto Roundup. In addition, the all-new 2015 Chrysler 200 took home the Mid-Size Sedan of Texas award, while the Chrysler 300 was named Full-Size Sedan of Texas. Sales of the 300 were up 16 percent in April compared with the same month a year ago. Chrysler brand sales were down 21 percent in April, reflecting the end of production of the 2014 Chrysler 200 mid-size sedan and convertible. Shipments of the 2015 Chrysler 200 to dealers is expected to begin this quarter. The interior of the all-new 200 was lauded last month when Ward’s placed the 2015 Chrysler 200 on its list of its “10 Best Interiors for 2014.”

Hyundai Motor America Reports Best April Ever Hyundai CUV segment up 21.4 percent FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., May 1, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Hyundai Motor America announced April sales of 66,107, up 4.4 percent versus the same period in 2013, setting an all-time record April. "With consumer confidence continuing on an upward swing and the economy improving across the nation, customers appear to have put cars back on their shopping lists," said Bob Pradzinski, vice president of national sales, Hyundai Motor America. "With our award-winning lineup of vehicles, including our recently introduced all-new 2015 Genesis sedan that nabbed top honors -- Car of Texas -- at the Texas Auto Writers Association's Annual Texas Auto Roundup earlier this week, we look forward to the spring selling season." Three Hyundai vehicles saw sales gains of 30 percent or more: Accent was up of 36 percent, followed closely by both Santa Fe and Sonata, up 30 percent. Sonata Hybrid had its best month ever at 2,055 units, up 8.6 percent for the month. Equus, Hyundai's premium luxury sedan, garnered a 9.2 percent gain over April 2013.
  6. Volvo Announces April Sales U.S. Sales Up 3.8 Percent ROCKLEIGH, N.J. (May 1, 2014) - Volvo Cars of North America, LLC, (VCNA) reported U.S. sales of 4,635 units for the month, a 3.8 percent increase versus April 2013. The top seller for April was the S60 sports sedan with 1,786 units sold, posting a 15.4 percent increase versus April 2013. The XC60 followed with 1,263 units sold.
  7. GM Grows Total and Retail Sales in April Retail Market Share up from March DETROIT – General Motors Co. (NYSE: GM) dealers delivered 254,076 vehicles in the United States in April 2014. Total sales were up 7 percent compared with a year ago. Fleet sales were up 5 percent and retail sales – vehicles sold to individual buyers – were up 8 percent. GM expects to increase its retail market share from March. “Retail demand was steady in April, and truck sales and transaction prices were especially strong,” said Kurt McNeil, U.S. vice president of Sales Operations. “As we expected, the economy continues to strengthen. In addition, our award-winning new products are performing well, we have more on the way and our dealers are winning accolades for outstanding service.” GM’s newest products include the 2015 Cadillac Escalade and Escalade ESV, which began arriving in showrooms in April. Upcoming launches include the Cadillac ATS coupe, which arrives this summer; the Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon mid-size pickups, which arrive in the fall; and the 2015 Chevrolet City Express LS, the brand’s first entry in the small cargo van segment. It arrives in the fourth quarter. When it comes to dealer service satisfaction, the Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac brands rank in the top five of all automotive brands in the United States, according to the J.D. Power 2014 U.S. Customer Service Index (CSI). April Sales Highlights (vs. 2013 except as noted) At Chevrolet, sales were up 5 percent. Deliveries of the Impala were up 27 percent, Spark was up 24 percent, Volt was up 19 percent and Camaro was up 14 percent. Cadillac total sales were up 5 percent and retail sales were the highest April since 2007. Sales of the Cadillac CTS line were up 36 percent, with sales of the sedan up 68 percent on the strength of the all-new 2014 model, which is the Motor Trend Car of the Year. SRX deliveries were up 31 percent, for the vehicle’s best April ever. Buick sales were up 12 percent for the brand’s best April since 2006. The results were driven by a 48 percent increase in Encore deliveries, as well as a 21 percent increase in Regal sales and a 10 percent increase in LaCrosse sales. GMC sales were up 13 percent for the brand’s best April since 2007. Sales of large SUVs, which include the Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban, and the GMC Yukon and Yukon XL, were up 22 percent. Chevrolet Silverado sales were up 9 percent and GMC Sierra sales were up 21 percent. Retail deliveries were up 13 percent and 22 percent, respectively. GM expects to gain between two and three points of retail market share in the large pickup segment compared to March 2014. Per plan, GM increased its share of trucks sold with average transaction prices below $40,000 compared to the first quarter of 2014, and maintained its share of more premium-contented trucks. GM’s incentive spending was down from March. As a percentage of average transaction price, spending was 10.2 percent, according to J.D. Power PIN estimates. Average transaction prices continued to improve from record levels set in the first quarter of 2014. Year to date, they are up more than $2,000 per unit versus the same period in 2013, according to J.D. Power PIN. Commercial fleet sales were up 11 percent for the sixth consecutive monthly increase. Small business deliveries, which are included in retail sales, were up 14 percent.

May 1, 2014 SUBARU REPORTS BEST-EVER APRIL SALES 29 consecutive months with year-over-year growth Best April ever for Forester, Outback, XV Crosstrek, BRZ All-time WRX/STI record Fourth month that Subaru brand sales exceed 40,000 sales Forester now marks nine consecutive months of more than 10,000 sales Cherry Hill, N.J. - Subaru of America, Inc. today reported 40,083 vehicle sales for April 2014, a 22 percent increase over April 2013 sales of 32,943 and the best-ever April sales month in company history. Year-to-date sales for Subaru total 152,471 - a 22 percent increase over the same period in 2013. The company has now seen 29 consecutive months of year-over-year growth and is already on its way to its sixth successive annual sales record. Year-to-date, the Forester model increased sales 54 percent over the same period in 2013. Sales of the small crossover, XV Crosstrek were also notably strong with 15,143 vehicles reported sold year-to-date. “Demand for the Forester has been incredibly strong,” said Thomas J. This not only beats last year’s record sales number for the month of April by 40 units, but it is also an all-time, any-month record for Porsche sales in the U.S. For the year so far, PCNA has delivered 14,207 vehicles versus 13,681 during the same period last year, an increase of four percent.
