  1. If I wanted a 2-seater, I could get a 1991 NSX with 60-80k for around that same price. Funny thing is it would probably be in better running condition.
  2. What? More like don't drive a small car without side airbags, and just stay away from Suzuki's altogether (at least their small cars).
  3. You're right. The Civics are limited to production here in the states, for now at least until they shift production of the Pilot to another plant (see this post). Once they do that, the Civic should sell several thousand more every month. The Fit is also limited since they are imported and only so many can be brought over (they are still selling very well overseas). I wonder how many of Honda's plants are running at full capacity. I'm pretty sure that is a combination of both models, since there are still lots of '06 models on the lots that will get counted into this month and the months to come until they are all gone.
  4. Looks very nice. Those wheels though. Ugh what was Chevrolet thinking?
  5. 5.9 second 0-60 sounds pretty fun to me :AH-HA_wink:
  6. Have you driven both? What are you basing that assumption on? If I had to guess based on specs, I would say the Accord offers a more fun to drive vehicle than the Galant (Ralliart or not). The Accord offers a 6 speed manual transmission in both Coupe and Sedan V6 models while the Galant Ralliart only offers a 5sp auto Sedan. And the Accord 6sp V6 Sedan weighs 377 lbs less than the Ralliart (Coupe 6sp V6 weighs 450 lbs less).
  7. And they'd be right, at least with the Ridgeline.
  8. Is it just me or does the front end look like it's already been in a collision? Something about the way the front of the hood curves down sharply and meets the grille. It almost looks concave (curved in). Other than that, it has relatively bold styling.
  9. I've seen them in person and I think they look better in person than in pictures. The front grille is still odd looking, but for the most part, the entire car is very well refined and looks good (for a cute-ute anyway). Most reviews have commented on how the new interior is much more refined than the last. Actually most comments I've read about the previous CR-V interior say how it is very bad, probably the worst Honda interior in their current lineup.
  10. No, it means they already keyed the paint, so it looks like the car is vandalized. It cuts down on theft, and also goes with the rental theme of the car.
  11. That is an impressive TQ curve! It puts the Mazdaspeed 3 to shame.

    Acura RDX

From what I've heard, Acura will either be putting a small turbo 4cyl like the RDX's, a revised 2.4L or higher displacement N/A 4cyl, or a small V6 in the next TSX. Nothing but rumors at this point though. Also, it's hard to say if they will include SH-AWD on it or not, as it is a big and heavy system, and the TL still doesn't have it. I'm hoping for a setup similar to the RDX's, but keeping the weight of the TSX down to the mid 3000's. It is at 3250-3350 lbs right now and the RDX weighs in at 3900-4000 lbs, so a TSX with the same power train as the RDX but 4-500 lbs lighter would be a screamer. I am partial to the N/A v6 though, so I still think that would be cool, it would just throw the weight distribution off a little more.

    Acura RDX

The RDX is an SUV, and doesn't move as efficiently through the air as a car. I've read a few owners reports who say they get around 17 mpg in the city and 20-22mpg on the highway. That is with normal driving and sounds about right. A magazine that is doing a lot of performance testing and spirited driving will obviously get considerably less. 17/22 isn't too far off of the EPA rated 19/23, specially for a turbocharged vehicle. A V6 would probably do better, but would weigh more and take up more room and it might not have fit anyway.
  14. From what I've read, the Hondajet is the fastest and largest in its category, so it would naturally be the most expensive. Are you kidding, it comes with i-VTEC and a DOHC sticker to boot!
  15. The side airbags don't add to the bling factor.

    Acura RDX

You are definately the troll king.
  17. It's tough to say how much of the money ultimately ends up in the pockets of Japanese business men. Probably not as much as you think though, since everything is done inside the U.S., including the building of the Turbojet engines by GE Honda Aero Engines LLC (a partnership between Honda and GE), and the building and designing of the Jets by Honda Aircraft Company, which is also based in the U.S. So even if some profits do go to Japan, all the labor is done in the U.S. and it really depends on where they source all of the materials used in the jets (composites, aluminum, etc), which will say where most of the money goes. Just FYI, GE Honda Aero Engines LLC builds turbojet engines for not only Honda, but others as well, including Spectrum Aeronautical LLC. On another note, I found a funny spelling error on this page. Instead of saying 'Affiliate', it says 'Affiriate' (you know how they have trouble pronouncing the 'L', lol ).
  18. Another slow news day. Here's a tidbit on the HondaJet which just went on sale officially October 17th. Full Article If Honda can sell a $3.65 million jet, I don't see why they're having so much trouble selling a $50,000 car.
  19. Only about 5% of the Civic's leave the factory in base trim. I don't remember where I found that tidbit, but I'm not surprised, just check Autotrader.
  20. But... but.... but...... people shouldn't be closing their doors that hard..... This is actually a good thing! It gets people to close their doors more carefully.... which should benefit everyone! Thanks Toyota!!
  21. Toyota? Nope. Lexus maybe, but Toyota doesn't have anything. Celica is gone, Supra is gone, MR2 is gone. Replaced by what, the Scion tC? They even dropped the Corolla S model apparently. Toyota's current lineup is about as boring as they get.
  22. It's the dealers that do. There are two Fits at a local dealer by me that have an asking price of $22,999 (that particular dealer is known for big markups, but you can usually talk them down), and the MSRP inlcuding destination of an identically equipped Fit on honda.com is only $16,500. It's because the supply is so short while the demand is so high, the dealers can get away with this kind of rape. Of course not all dealers are like that, but a lot have a waiting line months long for the Fit, and have some sort of mark up. Until Honda gets the next factory online and starts making the Fits in America, it will be like that. They have the same problem with the new Civic (which is why it's only selling at the same rate as last years). The low supply is the Fit's biggest strike against it, and causes dealers to price gouge on any inventory they can get. Imagine if the supply was there and the Fit's were selling at MSRP, you'd see them everywhere (just like overseas).
  23. And every other mid-size coupe as well, including every GM offering.
  24. lol This is where I believe the car falls short. That is pretty poor mileage, both EPA rated and in the real world (where it gets an average of 29.67 according to www.fueleconomy.gov, Edmunds must have been romping on it a lot to get 24mpg). Compared to the Fit or Yaris, it is lacking, maybe not by a lot, but enough to sway buyers. And despite the low fuel economy, it is also the "slowest in the class of '07 subcompacts we've tested" according to them, popping off a 11.9s 0-60 (for comparison, the Yaris S did it in 10.8s and the Fit did it in 9.3s, both automatics as well).
  25. Where is this model you speak of? Did they stop producing it for 2007?
