  1. It's called a splitter :AH-HA_wink:
  2. I don't know. One bad experience with an Accord, that could very well have been caused by the owner, who you don't know how they treat their vehicles. What does this have to do with the new Accord coupe concept?
  3. That's not normal, there's probably something wrong with the Accord.
  4. The current Accord has the goods, I'm sure they will up it a little this year as well. I would like to see the 3.2L V6 in there with manual option. Hmmm, 0-60 in 5.5s...... (the current Accord sedan has hit 5.9s 0-60 with manual transmission). Of course an AWD option would be nice, I doubt they would do that.
  5. The first true high-performance car from Lexus, and it's a slammed 4-door sedan with a body kit to make any need for speed fan proud.
  6. I'm so glad they went that direction with the headlights and not like the Fit. Those look they drew influence from the Stream. This is supposedly just a design concept. I hope they don't dumb it down too much for the production model. At least with the coupe, it should be sporty like this. Shots from the show are available here, as well as more full size photo studio shots here.
  7. The new catalytic converter probably plays the biggest role in making this clean diesel possible. Link
  8. Are you an InCircle member? No? Don't talk to me. Psha. *go drives his special edition Lexus* Yeh they know I'm better than them.
  9. The Corvette isn't a bad car at all, but being so common, it does ruin any sort of excitement induced when seeing one. It is not really an exotic. Although if a Japanese guy bought one and imported it to Japan, he could call it an exotic over there. Consider what exotic means: Exotic: 1. of foreign origin or character; not native; 2. strikingly unusual or strange in effect or appearance: an exotic hairstyle. 3. of a uniquely new or experimental nature
  10. More exotic than an every-neighbor-has-one Corvette. The NSX wasn't a loser, what are you talking about?
  11. The Solstice is a jelly-bean, what are you talking about? :AH-HA_wink: I agree that it is nice looking (except for the front, I like the Sky's front end much more).
  12. I thought the diesel ad was kind of corny. The Impossible Dreams is by far the best Honda ad ever. Honda UK usually makes the best/most unique ads.
  13. So at least the Aveo won't be the worst domestic subcompact anymore...
  14. Toyota Prius SE-L (Smug Edition Extended Length [for celebrities])
  15. No. Since they aren't trying to be something they're not (American). Toyota might get Bush's bother, Jeb Bush, though, as that'll score them some more points in Texas at least. If Toyota becomes the next President, they can really push their trucks! :AH-HA_wink: All kidding aside, you know what strikes me as funny? A lot of consumers don't buy American because they feel Japanese cars are simply better. If Toyota succeeds in making themselves "more American", will consumers stop buying them because of it?? That would be priceless.
  16. I heard Toyota was going to run for U.S. President in '08. It hasn't been announced yet, but they are expected to make the announcement during the first sales day of the new Tundra. They will be running in the Green Party. This would mark the first time in U.S. history that a corporation has ran for Presidency, and also will be the best financially backed Green Party candidate in history. Expect advertising to appear on TV, MySpace and the side of the White House (yeh, they have that much money).
  17. I like this picture the best, and the color. Racing stripes are so 90's (but so is the viper! lol). And that interior is plain UGLY!!!! What the hell is that doing in such an expensive car?? That's a Dodge Neon interior with extra gauges!
  18. Since Reg hasn't posted yet, I will give you guys a preview of what his post may look like: IT SUCKS IT ONLY HAS A 4 CYLINDER! NO V6!! GHEY!!
  19. There was a news article recently around my area showing a picture of a freeway collision between a late 90's Lincoln Town Car and a '92-95 Honda Civic. The Civic was destroyed and the occupants died (not sure if there were passengers), while the people in the Lincoln only suffered minor injuries. Other than law enforcement, is there any reason why a car needs to be big enough and heavy enough so that is can obliterate a smaller car driven by someone who either can't afford a larger car or cares about their MPG and emissions? If that Civic had been in a collision with another Civic, there's a good chance both occupants would have survived. Not enough as long as people continue to buy full-size Suburbans that they don't need.
  20. I agree with you. Back to my original point. People don't choose to be fat for the image. However, a lot of people do drive V8 powered cars and full-size SUV's for that reason, the image. Lutz's saying people being fat and people buying gas-guzzlers are the same, is just him trying to use metaphors that he's hoping people won't understand and just go along with.
  21. Just because they don't do a good job exercising or watching what they eat doesn't mean they're choosing to be fat. For a lot of people, their path is laid down when they are a kid, and they are at the mercy of what/how much their parent's feed them, or how much motivation their parents gave them to get off the computer! The kids don't choose to be fat, they are at a very influence-able age, and they may be stuck with it for the rest of their life unless they have enough willpower to make a change (which can be hard in a society where fast food is plentiful and at every turn). But what I'm referring to is how Lutz attributed the "government forcing small cars onto people" to "clothing makers forcing small clothes". It just doesn't work. It doesn't take a significant amount of work to sell or trade in your large vehicle for a smaller one. However, a fat person trying to get fit will take months or even years of hard work and a complete change in their eating and living habits.
  22. I googled her and this is what I got:
