I Don't Care Much for... Church people. Have you ever met a bigger group of hypocrites? I'll have more to follow, hehe.
-
Well, I am still a poor man, lol. Hellooooo aged Dodge Aries for me!
-
+1!!!! I replaced the Contintentals on my Golf with Bridgestone Blazzaks for winter, and of course wouldn't you know it? I haven't gotten to drive in any of the interesting weather due to the transmission SNAFU.

So, I am FINALLY getting my car back tomorrow. Three damn weeks later and having to hitch rides EVERYWHERE. I am so irritated. But thankful I'll have wheels again. There is a much bigger chasm between no car at all and a Hyundai Accent then said Accent and a Ferrari.

I agree with Europe. Although, my favourite colour is green... a rich, sultry, wet looking dark green.
-
I myself would pick real. I love the smell, and it shows that I am not lazy.
-
I must say I would gladly give up a mere cupholder to gain the auxillary input jack.

"Big sounds. If in-car audio is your thing, look no further. Astra is available with the latest technology including MP3 CD playback and an auxiliary-in socket so you can play tracks direct from your personal MP3 player. There’s also an optional system that includes a CD autochanger. You’ll find all the details on page 56/57." Okay, okay, so I know this is sorta cheating, but I have downloaded the Vauxhall Astra brochure available through their website, and they DO have an available iPod/MP3 Player connectivity available, and I am sure that one could order this feature as it doesn't concern emissions or crash test regulations and ought to put the complainers to bed.

This might help improve the Dodge brand image, hehe.

Lol. Never, it's just the point of how disgusting they'd be. I just got back from my BSM (basic shift management class) and that, plus ServSafe, and my management book count as something like 4 credit hours for college combined. Class went well, was much more entertaining than I had thought it'd be. My groups seemed to enjoy making me carry out group presentations because they didn't want to, and I got 100% on my test scores for each of the three days. Hopefully I can put it all together in a fantastic way!

Riiiiight, and I'll make sure to keep the raw oysters at room temperature overnight too...blech!

LOL! No, but I am not sure what it was exactly, but I still have my book so that if/when I find out what I missed, I make sure I know.

Thank you very much. Yes sir. 15 minutes is the technical maximum holding time for 10:1 and 4:1 patties. I only hold them longer if they still look good and juicy, because as long as their internal cook temperature is 155* F or higher and held at a minimum of 140* F after that, they will be safe as they are above the temperature danger zone. Because, aside from the critical temperatures, I am picky and if something looks, feels, tastes, or is beyond what I would consume, I eliminate it. Just for the record, our chain which is run by Laura and Jim Maynard, takes the safety and general quality of our products in very high regard. We are required to monitor food safety and therefore the temperatures of fresh product a minimum of three times per day in all areas of the store. I can promise that if something ordered isn't as you ordered it, we will do whatever we can to resolve the problem. That's why I like to work the table, even as a manager. I take pride in the quality of the food I make and prepare, like claiming that the snack wraps made by myself will be the best, the tightest, and least messy.

Hi everyone! I thought I'd share the good news that I am now ServSafe Certified meaning that I have been properly trained in food handling, food safety, and essential hygenic and sanitary practices to help ensure that whatever you eat that I have been involved in preparing and monitering will not be laden with dangerous contaminates; whether they be of physical, biological, or chemical nature. On my exam, which requires a 75% to pass, I attained a 91%, that, although not perfect, was the best score that has been seen in some time according to our McDonald's Marketing Director Denise Mansfield! I had heard that the exam was "so hard" and that a student who had been from Quincy and was a very good, A-type student (we were in Youth in Government together) struggled with it as well, and I really didn't feel it was that difficult. I am so excited!

Me too! And I also agree that VW should be able to offer a decent 4-cylinder engine in this segment without a turbo or being a turbodiesel.
-
Well, I do like the styling of the interior. That's about it.

Hello Everyone! I want to say thank you all so much for your input, opinions, and concern. I do have fantastic news though... it WILL be covered under warranty, so no $500+ repair bill for me and I suppose that I will keep this fun little car for sometime to come although it has SERIOUSLY made consider an Astra or even... a Dodge Caliber. Today after picking up my management book for McDonald's (I am also nearly ServSafe Certified- so that means I know what it takes for safe food!) I was told that they had found rocks in places that they'd "...never even seen them before..." and some of them were nearly egg sized. This does, quite frankly, surprise me that it happened at all but I am just glad I won't have to resort to anything exceptionally drastic or harsh. For my car, I ought to be able to pick it up by sometime around Wednesday next week, so I am still hitching and begging for rides to work and what not although my mother has been great and has allowed me to take her black 2003 Chevrolet Trail Blazer LT (only 14,400 miles!!!) to work yesterday and tomorrow. Although I am no truck fan (since I don't have a need for one yet) I was quite surprised by how refined it really is to drive although it feels like a bloody tank after a small German car. So, after finally driving a GMT-360, I have to say I do believe I would find the SAAB version most appreciable out of all of them. Thanks again so much everyone!

Yes, it's at Vorderman's. And, I will update as I receive "information" and what I will do in response.
-
Also, as an update, they told me it was the transmission fluid that was leaking out and down and burning off. It is a stick car, so perhaps that would explain why it's not pink/red of course.
-
Well, I am unsure as to its exact location but it seemed to be coming from too far "up" in the compartment to be caused by rocks or whatever they're trying to feed me about it.
-
Thank you all so much. I will indeed keep everyone posted. The Rabbit has 26000 miles on it, and the clutch only gave me problems right before I noticed that awful burnt oil smell.
-
Ha! Interesting thing regarding this is that I've told a couple people that I may have to seek legal action.
-
So, I guess this may be the part where everyone says something like, "I told you so!" but I have a problem regarding the Rabbit, and was wondering what you all think about the situation. The other night (a bit after 7pm) I was on my way home from work and stopped at a light here in Coldwater. I happened to catch a whiff of burnt oil or the like and of course assumed it had come from another car. But, pulling away from the stop, the clutch take up and response was suspiciously mushy. Later on in the evening out with friends, we all noticed the smell, and upon coming to a stop, smoke came from under the hood! We found a liquid (very light golden colour) softly dripping down from up in the engine compartment. The next day on the way to work, the engine would "free rev" in any gear with more than a light application of throttle and the clutch was still, oh, blech in its operation. Later in the day I called and had it flat bedded to the nearest VW dealership (which is forever away in Ft Wayne). Today, they called me and tried telling me I had take the car "Off Road" because of the rocks up, in and around the undercarriage apparently. I said, "Excuse me, but no I have not taken my car off road. I do drive on the many dirt roads in the area and that is it." I mean come on, am I not supposed to drive on freaking gravel roads?! So, I was wondering what everyone thinks about this situation as I am very stressed and of course getting pissed about it now as well.
