  1. The 00-05 Impala had a large enough interior for the EPA to consider it to be "full size", despite overall dimensions. I don't know if this holds over to the 2006 model year, though.
  2. If your romance novels feature NASCAR on the cover, you might be a redneck.
  3. I fear that this plan may backfire, and Martha will teach her viewers how to make a Buick Lucerne using products that can be found throughout the home.
  4. I always figured the best way to stop yourself from speeding was to drive a Toyota Echo...
  5. *double-takes* Hey... They picked the Solstice. Good read. They mention a clunking noise in the Solstice, which indicates that Pontiac's (and GM's) initial release quality needs some work.
  6. That's right! Earn GM some money back.
  7. You're probably thinking of something I said. I was bitching about Wall Street analysts, saying they wouldn't be so quick to off a brand if it was one that they bought their cars from. I used Lexus strictly for argument's sake, knowing full well that it will never happen.
  8. In some gas stations on Long Island, the price is about 2.25 and slowly, steadily declining. America is getting its cars from Japan and fueling them with oil from the Middle East. The only Americans making money off of this are the mechanics and salespeople, and the occasional non-union, American-based line worker.
  9. I agree about that gripe. The gauges look as if they were designed with a smaller steering wheel in mind. I sat in one the other day. Cool car all around. I was uncomfortable sitting inside, though, because I felt too closed in. All the windows seemed extra small from inside the thing. The A pillar is a huge blindspot. This is definitely a trendy vehicle. I think it's pretty cool, but its sales rush won't last forever.
  10. I think this little statisic is pretty cool. It shows us a lot about the shift in the global economy, and also shows that GM has more than just the NA market if they get screwed over here.
  11. I thought Saturn's interior theme was going to be "piano black center stack".
  12. Yeah... It certainly caught my attention. The Red Tag event must be discounting the crap out of it (base model I'm assuming). Of course you probably have to have a higher credit rating than God to get that price... My point is, the HHR by comparison is barely discounted at all. Edit: Turns out it was $89/month. Still, nothing to sneeze at.
  13. This even pisses me off. And what will REALLY piss me off is when the workers decide to strike because of this! As justified as their protest would be, it would essentially hammer another nail in GM's coffin.
  14. The HHR is clearly selling. Witness this comparison of lease rates from Newsday: Cobalt: $69/mo HHR: $164/mo Impala: $169/mo With about $3500-$4000 due at lease signing for all vehicles.
  15. If GM wanted to REALLY impress people, they'd show us a 2007 production model in January.
  16. Well, with K-Rock changing to an all-talk format come January *shudder*, I may be forced to either have an MP3 CD on me at all times or check out satellite radio. I'm goin car shopping tomorrow. If I pick up a vehicle, it may have XM radio in it. But MP3 functionality is far more important to me, to be honest.
  17. Well, uh... My wife might walk by and I'll get accused of looking at other women. Not Safe For Married Men. :P
  18. Eh, mostly just screwing around. That's what I'm doing here in the first place, right? :P I can browse around it no problem.
  19. AAAHHH!!! NSFW! NSFW!
  20. What an absurd shape for a golf trophy. Does the men's trophy have a nipple on it?
  21. I have to work today, and when I'm done, I get to drive through an hour of tri-state traffic (if I'm lucky) and then for an additional 5 hours through that glorious NY/PA snow in the dark to visit the in-laws. So quit your bitchin'! :P Thanksgiving was fun, though.
  22. In a world... ...Where the biggest shopping day of the year is the day after Thanksgiving... ...One man... ...Bought all this year's presents online... ...A month in advance. B) But seriously, who from this board will even bother going anywhere near a shopping facility today?
  23. We are sort of analysts in our own right, you know. Granted we don't get paid for our opinions...
  24. I meant high-displacement as a complement, but in my previous post, you can replace "high-displacement" with "powerful". To be more specific about the designs... The grille and fascia updates are looking okay, but they don't impress me. The overall profile of most Holdens is stuck in the 90's. This is the public's main gripe about the GTO. Would I buy a Holden? Hell yes, but not for its looks.
