  1. Screw it, I'll say the Beetle for the sake of throwing out an answer.
  2. Hmm... The 97 Achieva had all sorts of coolant-related problems before the engine finally caught fire... I'll be bringing this to my parents' attention.
  3. I love the Firebird. The Cougar reminds me of an Oldsmobile Achieva or Ninety Eight in front. I know it's based on the old Cougar style, but still. The Barracuda... meh.
  4. My 06 Cobalt has the badge. It kinda stands out sometimes because it's on the side of the car all by itself... It might not be so lonely if I had an SS. This image is an example of the GM badge placement on my coupe. Color is just different.
  5. Saw a yellow Lambo Countach yesterday afternoon. Also saw a new GTI. Seeing a crapload of the new Camries... and a bunch of the Yarises. The first Yaris hatch I saw in person almost induced vomit.
  6. The Cobalt I have is in Blue Granite Metallic. My wife and I like the color enough that it was one of our main criteria for the car. Naturally the cool new radio comes the next model year after I get the car. I like my setup though, what with the "brushed silver" plated receiver. Aesthetically, I wonder what else the 07 Cobalt has in store...
  7. I once heard a story of a smoking driver burning their face because the chemicals in the cigarette react to whatever chemicals are released by the airbag. Don't know how that works or if the story's even valid, but it's something to note in this discussion.
  8. Despite my sig, I drive a Cobalt LT coupe.
  9. Next logical step: Pimp My Yacht
  10. Eh... He must be new at this. At least he provides the VIN.
  11. Holy crap. This is almost as ugly as teh POD concept a few years back. Give the Toyota concept department a hand for keeping me entertained... in a way they weren't banking on.
  12. Went with XM in the Cobalt because... A. I don't feel like putting aftermarket equipment into my car. I mean, I was reluctant to even stick the EZPass tag to my windshield. B. Howard Stern isn't reason enough for me to prefer Sirius over XM.
  13. Maroon (visible in the picture). I haven't seen the damage first-hand, but I'm guessing the hood would need a repaint. I think the car made it a little past 160k. Not bad for a second generation N-Body, eh? Don't worry about me. I got the Cobalt, remember? :) It's really my sister who's out of a car. Which reminds me... So many cars have changed hands in my family in the past year. It might be time for an update. - My wife and I just got the 2006 Cobalt (not long after we got married) - My dad has his 2002 Grand Prix and 1997 Astro. I think he wants to replace the Grand Prix (doesn't like it) and maybe sell the Astro. - My dad also still has a 1972 Chevy Van in his garage... Supposedly it will be junked or donated. Nothing is horribly wrong with it (not much to go wrong) other than that no one wants to drive it. - My sister had the 1997 Achieva until everything melted. Apparently my parents are going to fund the replacement. - My 1985 Seville is sitting at a local mechanic's shop for some repairs, as my father-in-law is going to pick it up - My wife's 1997 Venture has already been gifted to her mother. Decka, take good care of your Olds. I didn't help this one much, but my sister and her friends practically destroyed the damn thing up to the point it caught fire.
  14. I haven't been driving the thing for over 2 years anyway, but it's still upsetting. Apparently the alternator did something wrong while the car was in my sister's possession and it started a fire. This is what the engine compartment looks like now... The worst part? I'll probably never own or even get to drive an Oldsmobile again. :( 1997 Oldsmobile Achieva SL Sedan... 1996 - 2005
  15. Oh... That's excluding trucks and SUVs, then. I was about to say, 7th place is quite an achievement. However, this pins it below below the Altima and above the Pontiac G6. Not so much of an achievement. ...So the Cobalt was the 9th best selling car last month. Ah well. It's good to be different. :)
  16. Quick speculation: H2 interior redesign H3T
  17. Mark my words... For the "bling" crowd, this will be the next Chrysler 300. Not that it would be deserving... This also appears to be Toyota going after the Jeep Wrangler crowd. This will reluctantly be a hit, because unlike GM's efforts with the HHR, Toyota will market the living hell out of this thing. Or maybe ipeople will just hear the word "Toyota" and their ears will automatically perk up.
  18. Well... This is still damn ugly, but at least it's no longer "80's retro" ugly. It's just a completely different kind of ugly. As if it were intentionally designed to nauseate pedestrians. Hell, I bet I could sketch a deliberately ugly vehicle that looks better than this thing.
  19. Not to make you look bad, but Chrysler didn't necessarily designate the urban crowd to be their target customer for the 300C. I take neither stance in the 300 Heritage naming. It sucks that they ruined the streak by going out of order, but at the same time, 300-N and 300-O wouldn't have worked, either.
  20. I remember the Noid. I think he used to kill people in their dreams or something. Oh wait, different antagonist.
  21. In all seriousness, look for Graphic Design jobs.
  22. I was actually quite satisfied with network television, just as I am generally satisfied with broadcast radio. It's really a shame that New York's one good rock station is changing its format to all-talk. This is all Stern's fault, by the way. Now I have XM, and I'm going to be grudgingly paying the monthly fee because Sarah likes having access to her country music. *Sigh* Fortunately my Cobalt also has the MP3 player so I can pop in a compilation CD with a crapload of songs on it when I feel like it.
  23. Jeez, they even used model-year designations in the beginning... That Willys-Knight is also gloriously expensive for its time. And the magazine subscription rate is the same as it would cost to buy a copy of Car & Driver straight off the rack. And yes, those wacky speaking tubes are pretty cool, but what's the deal with two passengers in a race car?
  24. That 2-engine Citation looks like it could be a lot of fun to drive. :P
  25. The chrome tail lamp guards are a nice touch. This is my first time seeing the new Yukon. It looks... a little too "cute" for a full-size SUV.
