  1. +1, Quoted for truth, , What he said, and so on and so forth.
  2. I bet you could pull off a bitchin' solo using the Force...
  3. The first dimention is a point in space. The second dimension is multiple points on a flat surface. The third dimension is multiple points in space. The fourth dimension is a point in time. The fifth dimension is multiple points along a single timeline. The sixth dimension is multiple points along any number of alternate timelines. The seventh dimension is the universe as we know it, and all its possible timelines. The eighth dimension is multiple universes that might be generated under different conditions. The ninth dimension is the concept of having a way of intracting between the different universes. So what the hell is the tenth dimension? I think that might have fallen apart after the fourth dimension.

The featuring of Elton John in this movie makes it that much more awesome.
  5. I've already changed my habits in this regard. When I'm on the Island I walk to work rather than drive the mile-and-a-half. I did this last time I was down there, and didn't have to fill up once while I was there.
  6. Alternatively, you could convince her to get an SSR, have the bed lid removed, and let her niece and nephew sit in the bed. Also, if the niece and nephew are little kids, they shouldn't need too much backseat room. If they're in their late teens or are adults, all bets are off.
  7. She could do that, but in that case, she should also check out a used Saab 9-3 Convertible.See how it goes with the Mustang, though. I'd much rather the sale go to Ford than to Toyota.
  8. That is probably the gayest thing I have ever seen. (I don't mean that invectively.)
  9. Compared to the Malibu, the Camry pictured here looks like an old man missing his dentures. (edit: BAH! Flybrian beat me to it. By several hours. I gotta start reading the whole thread more often.)
  10. Just looks like a normal Escalade with relatively small rims to me.
  11. Okay. So enough of them probably know what a new car looks like. Dang. It'd be really funny (and quite possibly insightful) to get some reactions from those that don't.
  12. This design isn't so bad. The textures are what make it look/feel worse than it should.
  13. Hmm... I'll see what I can come up with. I'll go with current models and very recent models (built within 2 years) to simplify things. Otherwise the Worst list would include a lot more models. Top 10 Best 1. Acura TL 2. Mazda 3 3. Lexus IS 4. Acura TSX 5. Infiniti G35 Coupe (previous version. haven't looked at the current one yet.) 6. Infiniti M35/45 7. Mitsubishi Eclipse Hmm, running out of ideas... Oh, you didn't specify Japanese. 8. Hyundai Sonata Okay. I'm not a fan of the following designs, but I need to finish my list. 9. Nissan 350Z 10. Scion tC Top 10 Worst This is much easier, though difficult to put in proper order. The following is an approximation. 1. Scion xA 2. Toyota Prius 3. Honda Ridgeline 4. Toyota Yaris (Sedan and Hatch get to have a tie) 5. Honda Element 6. Scion xB 7. Nissan Titan/Armada 8. Toyota Avalon 9. Nissan Quest 10. Nissan Versa Sedan Honorable mentions... Toyota FJ Cruiser Honda Civic Sedan Toyota Camry Isuzu Ascender Mitsubishi Diamante (in its last iteration) Edit: Changes... - Forgot about pick-up trucks. Nissan Armada/Titan slips in at #7. Honda Ridgeline at #3. - I decided that the xA is in fact the worst looking car in the US. Forgot about it previously, because they're not all that common. - On second thought, the pre-bodycolor Element is uglier than the xB, and will continue to taint the appearance of our roads for years to come. They swap positions. - I decided I like the Eclipse better than the Sonata (also, just picked one up in NFS:Most Wanted, and it's quite the contender). They swap positions. - The Lexus IS looks pretty good, but I think I prefer the TSX. They swap positions. - The models that were knocked off the Worst list still get an honorable mention. Also added a couple more chokers to that list. - I've expanded the list to include recently built models, as there are a few on this list that may have gone out of production.
  14. If we ever end the trade embargo with Cuba, they'll be in for a shocker (at least those without Internet and a curious mind).
  15. And thusly, Chrysler is once again an American corporation. Though the "Big 3" are hardly as big as they were before Diamler-Benz stepped in.
  16. So many questions unanswered. What is the significance of the documents that Pringle repeatedly stole? What sort of changes was the school board planning? What were his reasons for stealing it? I suppose I should go one step further and ask why Chris Pringle, former New Zealand cricketer, snapped in the first place. I could nitpick much further than that, but I think the most important thing is to get the storytelling down.
  17. The bumper (and Civic headlights) ruin it. I can live with the aftermarket hood, and I'm curious to see what that empty hole is for in the fender. I'd like to see an aftermarket kit that competely changes a car into an all-original design. Kinda like the Calloway C6 is for the Corvette. Then again, I suppose a conversion like that is only suitable for cars that cost as much as the Corvette.
  18. Eep. I don't know if anything's changed since air bags have become standard, but there are some people who feel that you're better off without one. I wonder if the SRS / Air Bag light illuminates when the sensor corrodes.
  19. Cost saving, I guess. But on an Impala? I wonder if the police package has full bumpers. I've made the recent observation of certain cars that have hundreds of dinks across the bumper. I call these frequent parallel parkers. It looks terrible, but at the same time, I'm not sure if the tack-on bumper strips are any better.
  20. Must enable third party cookies? Pff, screw that. Now, as for the Transformers movie, it better be damn good for all the hype they've been spewing.
  21. Headlights don't fit. The hood-to-bumper gap is about the same as the 98-04 Grand Am. Bumper and Fender Ground Effects don't line up. The bumper itself looks like it was inpsired by the movie Cars. The hood at least fits the Pontiac image... somewhat. All in all, I give it an F.
  22. In regards to terrible traffic: I've driven on the Cross Bronx Expressway / George Washington Bridge at various times of the day. One of the only times I was able to drive it without slowing down was at about 3 AM. My default expectation on the CBE is dead-stop traffic.
  23. Of all the things I dislike about Toyotas, I actually like their Hybrid emblem. GM's, by comparison, looks silly.
  24. You should pick up a horn that plays... G4 C5 E5 G5 - E5 G5 - CHARGE!
