HP wars are reaching their peaks... at what is it now.... 1001 horses in the one concept? i forget which one.... but now it becomes the price war of getting the most HP for the buck. Think of the speed you get for a new ZO6. or even just what base engines are putting out these days. My VW came with 130 horses back in 99. There isnt a VW you can get aside from diesel with less than 200, and it costs about the same in today's market.

well if everyones commentary does not sum it up i do not know what does. about 60-70 percent of the market want their 4 banger 20-30 wants their six 20-10 wants their 8 10 or 12 so the market will always be their, untill they design a new engine that we have to switch to for fuel purposes.... but even then i will be like Will Smith in I, Robot still wearing converse and hiding a gasoline powered vehicle in my garage.

well.... a six with a twin turbo set-up.... thats always nice.

yeah but then there is the talk of the SS and R/T versions of both respectively having approx: 5-600 horse for the top models. that is one competition i would love to be present for.

Honestly my only complaint.... is the color.... i need to see it in something besides gray. Its way too plain. Give me a nice black, orange, green, red anything.... just no more gray.

As for the metallic rattling sound, I haven't a clue what's causing it (like what I do to make it happen--it's rather random, but frequent). It doesn't seem to make that sound when the car is completely stopped (doesn't matter if it's in drive or park). I'll get it to the mechanic in a while. I don't think it's something that'd require immediate attention (so I hope), and I have a day off in a couple of weeks. if it is when you go over bumps and such hazards, check your brake calipers and rotors. had to have that fixed on my car. there was a metal piece loose. it wasnt a problem for braking, but it made a very annoying metal rattle every time i went on a bumpy road.

so if thats a gen y-er and then 86 to whatever is Z.... then do they go back to A? so confused....

I am in agreement with Camino.... no one looks a a Camry and goes now that is hot sh*t the only cars that will every get that are top models, exotics, sports cars... which at this point toyota does not have.... and no the celica doesnt count. to underpowered. at best (me liking a variety of cars).... the only hope for toyota to get that kind of comment will be if/when they bring the supra back. now that car was hot sh*t. and with the rumors going around i really hope to see it in 08'

Ok what we are seeing is a new trend once again. It always happens over each decade the designs shift. The trend today is everything old is new today. It was like when wearing camoflage when i was in junior high came back.... and bell bottoms for a short stint but i digress. Over the years cars have changed from domestic to foreign. 60's 70's was about muscle cars and big boats of all models late 70's 80's we saw cars start to all get boxy from mustangs to camrys 90's cars started to get more rounded on the edges i.e. the big change of the 5.0 mustang 97ish when it was much more rounded. i.e. camrys started to get the rounded edge... much different from the 89 i had and now in the 00's we see a new trend a small one if that retro alot of american cars in attempt to IMO get back to their roots to remember why they even started to build cars in the first place. Quality, a stand out look, power, and affordability. at this point in history we have never had more cars domestic or foreign availible with more total horsepower than now. its what 1965-1972 was to the car owners of that generation now available today. i dont mind seeing a retro mustang, challenger, camaro and it brings a grin to my face....and even though it was before my time i know where it came from... and what it stands for.

ok i dont mind if people think something sucks even i think things suck. but can we have something to back our feedback up? posts like that are counterproductive to the site. we are trying to get ideas out and hear everyones point of view. if everyone just said this sucks or this is cool and we wouldnt know why they thought that.... the site would suck

Dang skippy! love the classics love the classic design. a little bit here and there in every american car couldnt hurt. Its what distinguished us from foreign cars from the beginning.....ever think there was a reason GM was top dog from everyone else?

Go Dubs.... but if my friend can make a 1.8T with 400 horse and still get 25/30 they have to be able to make a turbo diesel that can get great mileage and still have some moves

Trucks = moving stuff and off road ability Cars = Driving really fast Vans = moving people or stuff SUV's = moving people, stuff, or having offroad ability the only thing interior should be is: easy on the eyes, comfortable and functional which only really applies to civilian vehicles as in ones not used for a work function. any work vehicles should suit the owners needs to have the employee get the job done. end of story. now for those who need trucks only here and there and buy one anyway... i can understand the need for the options of base and high-end interiors. so both the workers and the civilians can have their cake and eat it too product should be made with the consumer in mind
