Okay, I need the help of someone more computer/windows XP savy then I am. Somehow my computer wigged out the other day and I've had to do "system restore"... the problem is ever since then I have not been able to save JPG files off the net. It will only let me save them in BMP format. Can someone let me know how to fix this? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

GM selling stake in Fuji Heavy Industry
Sixty8panther replied to andy82471's topic in General Motors
I know we owe Isuzu for Duramax & Atlas engines along with the Colorado. Also, I know Daewoo is S. Korean and not Japanese, but I still say Subaru is a great brand. I'm not really a Subaru Enthusiast but Irespect them for having innovative products and RWD-biased AWD in some great cars wiht boxer engines. I'd rather see Chevy/Pontiac/Saturn get Subaru Rebadges then Suzuki/Daewoo/Isuzu ones. For what it's worth my cousin in Slovakia has a late 90s Daewo and loves it he says it's superior in quality to Hyundai and Kia and has better bang-for-the-buck. EDIT: I'd also rather see SAAB cut loose than Subaru. Sad to say but it's true. -
Do you call Toyota/Lexus?Scion & Honda/Acura Generous? Their dealers try to F*** every customer and when ever they're called on thier almighty attitude they just say "Yeah, we're asking a premium for our car but it's a TOTOTA" as if the angels above are supposed to be signing as the last word rols off their tongue. Mean time they have all the magazines and liberal media on their side while watering down their products every year but continuing to charge a premium. I don't think anyone on THIS site should appologize for being a die hard GM fan. It's the ones who come here to stirr up shit that I find annoying. I like Ford & Mopar but my first love is GM. Heckl if we still had the B-bodys (even unibody ones as long as they're RWD adn have V8s) and the Camaro & Firebird were still in production I wouldn't give a flying phuq about Mopar & Ford.

Razor is not a skitzophrenic and 99% rendom poster. I think his post was very clear. I'm not sure which thread he was talking about but for all I know it was probably someting I was a part of. BV: perhaps there is a little bit of Harry in all of us, at least Harry had an excuse though.

I don't get you BV. You call me closed minded because I love RWD and 90% of the time despise FWD but you yourself have no real oppinion on it. That doesn't make sense. I hate to judge you harshly (tit for tat I guess) but someone who knows the driving dynamics of both is not going to say "Eh, ...whichever" It's like saying you want to meet a girl who's a devout Christian, ...or Atheist, whichever. Polar opposites my friend. I think there's still hope for you. Someone needs to give you a deathride in a Firebird/Camaro/Mustang. Too bad I didn't buy that 1999 Trans Am WS6, 6-speed a while back. Being a Pontiac guy you'd respond better to that than my Camaro. I'd drive down there to Penn. and waste 3 gallons of gas withough leaving the parking lot. Once you fully understand why it is that you can't compete in drifting without RWD or Rear biased AWD and why it is that all BMWs, Musclecars and sports cars are RWD you'll be a lot more oppiniated yourself. LMFAO!!!

I think he was talking aboutn your grandmother's Cobalt.

Absolutely. I've said exactly that a dozen times on the old board. Talk to an engineer and ask him what the best, smoothest all around finest engine in the world is... he'll either say V12 or I6. Since A V-12 is basically two I6 fused at the hip it's not wonder they're the ultimate. Although a V16 is a sweet too but then we're gettting into severe packaging issues in 90% of the current applications for passanger vehicles. I6 rule. The only real lovable V6 out that that I am infatuated with is the Buick 3800. That engine was enginered when the planetary alignment was JUST right. I wish it could be around for another 40 years. Balthazar: Yup, you answered it. As far as I'm concerned the SSR in other words is still a Convertible with a hard top. Not a "hardtop" (one word) but I'm not arguing that point any longer. Mustang: Put the popcorn away buddy, I'm through with this pettty crap. Wait till the next RWD vs. FWD thread. Everyone will forget I ever said anything positive about the Mini Cooper, SRT4, Cobalt, Grand Am & all the other FWD cars I've admited to liking. Even though I've driven thousands of cars while a salesman at several dealerships and happen to prefer a RWD one over any other combination of drivewheels thy'll insist how I'm a narrow minded fool.

Awsome, one gripe though... it looks too tame and sad-puppy dog-ish. I hope the Silverado, if nothing else retains it's agressive take no prisoners Pirate face. :)

Still a RWD Skylark coupe/sedan/wagon would have been awsome.
-
Damn it I'd take a last gen. Astra in a heartbeat. They're awsome. Drove one as a rental in Slovakia for a month in 2001. The 5-speed was awsome wiht a light clutch, 1.6 liter did fine even up steep mountain roads with three passangers and a bumch of suitcases and thre interior made a 2001 Cavalier look like a 1974 Pinto in comparison. Why can't we get the Astra?

The 300C is not perfect, of course but it beats the shit out of ANY Buick, Chevrolet or Pontiac sedan on sale right now. I would not take some watered down Lacrosse/06 Impala/Grand Prix/Lucerne over a 300c. CM21 is right, the 300C is RWD, has a huge V8 option for much less than a typical Northstar powered Caddy, hsa killer looks and great overall quality. Give me an SRT8 wiht soe redline tires and I'm a MOpar guy. :) As far as the rags I'm sick of them too. From like 1999 to 2005 I don;;t think I remember them reviewing the Grand Am GT even once. Every time they had a sport Sedan for UNder $25,000 review they drove the shit out of the Accord, Stratus, Corolla, Altima, Contour, 626 Sonata etc. but it was as if the Grand Am did not even F$#&ing exist. My parents love their 2002 and I know from personal experiemce that it goes like a bat out of hell. Hate the torque steer and lack of ability to steer wiht the throttle but it's not like we have ANY $23,000 RWD midsize sedan choices. (hello Kappa sedan) Anyway thta's just an exampkle off the top of my head. Most AutoRags suck. MT seems to be doing beter now that an Australian editor is there... it seems no one is less patriotic these days than a average American. <_<

Old board, remember how a few people ridiculed my idea for a turbo-4.2 inline six Camaro? Or my idea of a Caprice Classic built using Trailblazer framework/drivetrain dropped down to car height.

ONE window per side. Where the heck would a 1/4 window dissapear to whe the top is down? The top ends just behind the doors. No room for 2 windows per side. Balthazar: Don't you agree (being a bit of a wise old sage on this site) taht since the term "Hardtop" was invented to describe a sort of simulated hardtop to call any convertable car a hardtop is erroneous. IF you use the term "retractable hardtop" it's less misleading but to say a car is a hardtop if the whole roof comes off seems like saying a car is a "Factory Hot Rod", another retarded marketing phrase IMO.
-
Measure twice, cut once. BV: no it was not you but I have been told I'm an idiot (in a ropundabout way) for suggesting Atlas 5 & 6 inlines in the next Camaro and in a future RWD Chevy/Buick/Pontiac car architecture along the lines of Zeta.

Wow, I know about ALPCA but thta site is boss. AM6: You're on buddy. I love both the yelow/blue and vice versa combo plates form PA. How about a New Hampshire and Mass plate for one yellow/blue and one blue/yellow Penn plate? Both in good condition. Let me know... if you have any really cool numbers like 427, 350, 326, 454, 327, 1957, 1968, 1969 or whatever let me know I love cool mumerics. I got a '69 NJ plate that reads "SLY" (Silvester) and a few cool vanities like one that reads IROCZ.

Isuzu Pulls Out..... Honda gets pregnant anyway. :P

Croc, why don't you take another few months off, you seem to still need some R&R. The bitchy attitude is anoying esp. since you have not been around for much of the history I was pertaining to.

Too much Benz in the styling for my tases.

Cool, I love to see GM kicking @$$ on a racetrack that has NO resemblance to an oval. :)

Yup, they're pretty cool in a minimalist 1979 kind of way. Here's a non-grainy Avatar. ---->

A five door Suburban! (not what you think)

Even though you were probably just being sarcastic that's a cool idea for a wacky vehicle for a family of 12. :) -
Thank You. Kind of like Kosher Bacon or Liquid Ice.
