  1. PS: the X6 is really growing on me... looks way better in the flesh.
  2. NO, you're right. It's not a blatant ripoff... but still I'm not one to go all goo-goo-gah-gah over a warmed over imitation. Even in 2009 there's still many BOLD, striking & very original designs out there. Just some awesome examples of cars that were designed by creative "out of the box" thinkers: - Art & Science Cadillacs, esp the 2nd gen. CTS-V - Mercedes Benz CL600 hardtop - Infiniti FX35 / FX45 (as well as the new FX37 / FX50) - 5th Gen. Camaro - Nissan Skyline GT-R (R34 & current gen...) - Dodge Charger & Magnum - Last Gen. Celica GT-S & of course there's the stunning, inspirational exotics. - McLaren F1 - Bugatti Veyron - Koenigsegg CCX
  3. The Audi TT's Great-Grandfaher. Auto Union / DKW coupe 1000 of the early 1960s. Not sure if the Karmann bodied coupe was a true hardtop. It DOES appear to be but I've never seen a photo of one with the rear windows down.... Anyone know about this?
  4. "Get With the Times?" How about FWD stopped being cool in 1971. Did you miss that memo? What do they have you doing at GM... shredding TPS reports?
  5. The expression "you get what you pay for" resonates here. Certain things are NOT universal.
  6. I figured you meant that... those salty black-ice chunks. But can you x-plain Damnboo, My-ate-Uh, Cly-made-us, Dizzy b*tch....?
  7. I'm with you on placing 6 feet of dirt on top of the Prius. ...but why on earth would you ever dig it up?
  8. Right! Clean it up and put it on display in Tulsa, OK. Anything else is a sin.
  9. Those Toyopets are still way cooler than any ToMoCo circa 2009.
  10. Tangible Goods > paper money backed by NOTHING. And a '55 SBC is one damn fine tangible good, even one needing a rebuild.
  11. Uhhh.... "plow droppings?"
  12. You (whoever controls that account) need a life. Geeezus.
  13. The VW is even uglier. & I hate the CLS for it's "4-door-2-door" idiocy.... but its at least got very clean styling
  14. So don't UNLOCK the pass door at ALL if it's just YOU. & if you have a passenger then you have someone who can lock it for you. So I'm assuming it's an automatic....?
  15. I like it, it's certainly better looking and more PORSCHE like then their stupid Cayene. That thing is dumb.... I guess a boxter had a love child with a Lexus RX330. This is a neat concept and I think it's a fantastic car, it would be much cooler still if it were REAR-engined, in other words a 4-dr 911, "cooler" still if it were air-cooled. (yeah, yeah... 10 years too late) Back in the mid-1990s as a kid in High School I drew several sketches of 4-door 911s.
  16. I voted neither. 1983 Pontiac T1000 is my FINAL answer. (all joking aside, the G5 because it is a real GM)
  17. Yeah... well their "FWD-$hitpile for every purse & purpose" methodology of the past 20 years certainly has helped them make tremendous gains in market share. Go build some more W-bodys GM, & while you're at it take another hit off the crack pipe.
  18. Yeah.... I have the same complaint.
  19. yeah, I can imagine, 3rd gen. F-bodys are not big on room in the engine compartment. Still, good for him, it's a worthy project.
  20. Yup. It's been TEN years brotha. GM still can't put a square peg in a square hole. I was "mad" in the late '90s now I'm just past the point of exhaustion on this topic. This overwhelmingly FWD-biased lineup is like a plague that haunts GM.
  21. You got it Moltar. The Daimler-Benz Mercedes SSK. 7.0 liter German Inline-6 + forced induction = A force to be reckoned with.
  22. You forgot to say "&weld the rear doors shut/shave the handles" It reminds me more of the '64 Chevelle/Malibu
  23. I for one, as a graphic designer, think the Header looks fantastic. Esp the Geared-C & Renn. Center.
