Cool that you were in the area. The satellite office is actually "Drop & Drive" where you can drop your car for service, pick a new loaner & then come back when it's done. We even put new brown Juke there, I saw yesterday when picking up a customer in Easton. Today another new '11 GC, filthy as could be, in the Enterprise rental lot in Rehoboth. I wanted to stop in & rent it for a day or two, for a full trial.

Off to the gas station mid-day to fill up a customer's new Mazda, and this pulled in. Asked the guy & said it was an '86 Limited he bought from an older lady "at the hospital". Identical to my brother's '86 except for the blue vs. black landau roof, even bought with the same miles, but better shape all around. "Wanna buy it?" I said no...but should have gotten his number.

Cheers & thanks to all

All I ever "spot" are new cars lately... ...touring the GM lot last Sunday again, a new '11 Malibu with the just released "White Diamond Premium Package" (also comes in a Red Jewel Premium Package) adding these $$ colors everyone loves to the cloth seated 1LT, along with a few other options and chrome wheels. Dressy. Nice price. First green Mazda 2 in person...but it also now sits in front of my office window. Elicits more comments than anything else.

Classy. I like. Bug deflector writing, especially That plate would go well on mom's Camaro...then again, she suggested something similar herself. Whatever it was, the DMV classified as offensive, of course.

Sweet. Always good news, and I hope it works out well!

Whoa. Talk about perfect placement, too.

Best Cities in the USA to move to are...
caddycruiser replied to A Horse With No Name's topic in The Lounge
'Tis true. Being from north of there, I dislike the winter on the "west side" of PA vs. southeast, but it has everything, living costs are realistic, it's not too far from bigger places and so forth. I've considered it, including with family not far away, which can be good and bad. Interesting list. And lots of mid-west, for sure. -
Voted this morning before work. Everyone I voted for lost, but that's the Delaware factor for you. Too small & the big play too dirty. Shame. But yes, voting gives you the open door to complain, and so I will.

The bright crisp nature of Summit White never fails to grab my eye, I just miss the luxury tone of WDT from my G6 days...and when I start trying to clean the Summit White after a while. Yellow Smart car, darting through Lewes. In a cramped town, fitting. Odd, I see so few & don't even think of these anymore.

New 2011 Avalanche LTZ in White Diamond with the also new "Body Color Ext. Components" option, using the Escalade EXT's painted sail panels, side box covers, tailgate topper & full width rear brakelight section up top. Stunner. Only available with White Diamond, Black or Silver, however. Made me start thinking what mine was worth...

Ford fleets all their models, wouldn't surprise me to see one as a rental. Don't think it necessarily means anything as far as consumer sales.. Very true. The Fiesta is doing as well as Ford has said, but that doesn't mean they still won't put a small supply of them in a fleet somewhere...more people to drive them & get the word out. Fiesta...aside from our lot at work...a blue SES hatch zipped past me on a back road to work the other morning...on the road, always makes me think "who shipped a Euro car over to drive..." Just different in presence than what has been US typical.

Another new white '11 JGC Laredo on the road: Then hit the local GM lot for a Sunday browse around. New '11 Tahoe LS 2wd. With the black plastic 100% gone and the recent '11 change adding the chrome strip to the body side molding on ALL models, even the "base" is a great looker now. Red Jewel helps. New '11 GMC Acadia Denali SOLD (with nicely done tag on the dash): New '11 Cruze 1LT in Ice Blue...liked it, but not my style. Very solid car, regardless:

People just don't know about it. Now that I've been selling Mazda's for a while, other than the CX-7, 3 and even the Tribute, people aren't really clued in to the Mazda line until we show them. This is especially true of the 6. Look at the Altima and others, then see and drive a 6. It's hard to pass up. Sold one to a best friend who had only had Honda's before, sold them to ex Altima customers, and so on. It isn't marketed, but the quality/finish/style/features & performance sell it right away. The looks especially do, as does the SPACE inside and in the trunk, in the latest ones. Add in the fact you can get a new i Sport model in the $17-18k range, i Touring with dressy features for $20k or under and Mazda still has 0% for 60 months, they're an instantaneous easy sell. Not perfect, as I wish the electronics were a little more up to date and the front seats a little better shaped, but the 6 just isn't lacking in ways almost every other car in the class is. You need to look at and drive one, if you haven't. Fun little car, for sure. Our main issue is that, for the discounts and such available on the 3, you can get a slightly bigger and more impressive package overall for almost the same dough--well, with a lot more space. People like the look & tiny size, but naturally still gravitate to the 3 unless they really want that smaller package & aren't incentive hungry.

I've posted this world elsewhere about it...stunning. That's a quick refresh by Fiat/Chrysler, and absolutely stunning. Not just "better than before", all new and wow. To think of how many other vehicles, not just Chrysler, but other makers could use such treatment...all new glam & quality inside, new engine, etc. And done quickly. Wow. Stick shift aside, this is what is is/was... They're not messing around. Period.

The steering wheel tilts & telescopes in the new 6, many people just have trouble finding the lever underneath. As for the MP3/Aux jack, Mazda puts a 3.5mm headphone plug under the center console lid with a power port, then a 2nd power port at the base of the center stack. Great car, I've sold several & never had anyone less than impressed after a drive. Had a younger couple on Saturday browsing 3's, then wanted to try to the Altima. Asked if they had ever looked at the new 6 yet. "Walked past them, I think." Drove a new 6 i Touring Plus, then drove a new Altima 2.5S, identical colors, similar equipment. The 6 was $2k less. Afterwards the 6 was the winner again, both for looks, the interior details, how it was quieter with a lot less engine noise, and "not as...adult...fresher...". Nice car. They feel softer & quieter at first than most expect from a Mazda, but the "zoom" comes out if you push it. My only complaint remains they need to update the electronics, with things like a USB port standard & a less clunky Nav on top end models so equipped.

Survey Shows Common Misconceptions about the Economy

New Juke. First one finally just arrived at our store. Took the keys & went for a spin. Very small little ute, looks high, but shorter than I am. Fun little funky package.

Black on black '11 Ford Flex Titanium. The wheels, blacked out roof/pillars, grille and so forth make it sinister. Customer ordered unit, arrived Friday & left yesterday. First one in person I've seen. '02 base blue Cavalier coupe with silver painted side ground effects and SS stickers. Not over the top, really, until the owner told me about it being a limited edition "special SS there are very few of"...

Very nice details... ...I want to experience the Volt, and of course check out the Leaf. We know when to expect our first Leaf at my dealership, and have had a few inquiries, but it's really still quiet and TBA on them. The Coda...woof.

Awesome, Roger! Too perfect, and about time!

I sell several lines. I give everything equal respect, and just in my experience, having driven the Cube quite a bit, found reactions to it vs. the Kia, etc. interesting. Not sure if I'd buy any of them.
-
I've always wondered about these, since I see so many of them...but have yet to drive or even get inside. Regarding the Cube, I've never thought of it as flimsy, and having driven them daily, they're extremely comfortable and smooth. They have that whole couch on wheels with very little road/wind/engine noise and are very, very smooth. The space is the impressive part, and yes, even I like driving them. This is an interesting class of vehicles.

1994 Volkswagen Golf - Start to Finish

Amazing. You accomplished a lot, even if it doesn't seem like it, the pictures alone say it.
