New temp tagged black Range Rover Evoque driving through Manayunk. These things look so nice.
-
Saw this wagon on Thursday. Not sure model/year, in Roxsborough/Manayunk, my new village.

No matter what happens, the first word most will say will be "Civic". In reality, size and stature aside, they are 2 completely different cars and in person do not appear related. Size yes, but drive and look, no. Glad our first is black. The wheels look great and so does black. Next up another graphite one and a Hybrid.

Our first 2013 ILX arrived late today. Great wheels and lines in black.

Here was mine in Delaware. Delaware has a fascination with antique smaller black porcelin plates, as they originally had many years ago. Aside from these, their other bigger fascination is who has the lowest digits. #6 was on an old guy's Olds Aurora a few years back and when it went to auction, it made it to CBS news and investment banker brothers bought it for $600k or $800k. Crazy. Myself, from PA, never understood. Then I thought it cool too. Found an ad selling "DE #" tags once, and said no longer available. So when Delaware introduced a limited edition Centennial tag for 10 months only, I wanted it but it needed to be vanity too. Searched their site and "DE 100" and "DE 1" were already out there, so "DE 01" it was when the DMV clerk said yes. I didn't want my name. I didn't want my car name, because well, that can change daily. Looks cool. People like it. I've been asked if I was the governor or a government official/family member. Nope. Still have it, and registration valid. But I have no car to put it on. Could sell, but I'd like to keep. Want to put it on something.

Sorry to hear the sudden shock event. Very abnormal. You will land on your feet, and have done the right thing putting feelers out there. In your area how many similar places are there?

Nice choice and good move on the last minute rental. I think back in the day...hmm...I borrowed my mom's '02 Avalanche Z66 for both proms, both years. Great truck for that. The 2013 Taurus looks really nice and the nose and wheel changes are very noticeable. I've been seeing an abnormal amount of them in & around Philly already, in addition to 2013 MKS's which is odd, as they sell 3 a year. I tried a 2010 SHO back when I worked for the dealer in Maryland and we had 3 leftover SHO's no one ever touched. Nice car, but sloppy front seats and a console that makes you feel squished in such a big car. I think the seats have improved and the console/plastics too. Nice ride for the night.

Current/new Chrysler 300, a-la cloth topped. How not nice. Then oddly enough, I ran across an upholstery shop in southwest Philly with "custom canvas tops" on their sign. I'm so glad I didn't see that before.

New 2013 Infiniti JX cruising on the highway. Just like expected, looks long and very minivan in stature. Long, thin and boxy with curvy lines on top. Interesting.

^^Cool.

Black Verano cruising along 76 in Philly. Looked great amidst the morning traffic.

Nice spotting there, caddycruiser!! Those are the upgraded chrome rims for 2012 that a lot of GMC dealers are not opting for (have seen only one other GMC dealer within Mercer, Burlington & Camden counties with a Canyon & those rims). I think their awesome looking and would definitely have to select them if I was ordering a new '12 Canyon. I think their very Hummer-like in design/style for a GMC. Not a fan of that red-orange, but definitely like the Canyon otherwise More orange than my iPhone made it, but just red enough. Great looking truck so equipped and colored. No ONE buys them...but yet again, another new 2013 Lincoln MKS in black on the street in Manayunk. Maybe they are now? Odd I've seen so many of these and 2013 Taurus's already.

Drove to a wedding reception in Bethlehem late yesterday and stayed overnight. While in the area, cruised around Bethlehem and Easton to different spots and decided to check out a Buick GMC store my Acura's nav pointed me to in Easton. Nice to get my fill of Sunday GM lot browsing again. Hard to do in Philly with gated locked up lots. First up, the Verano. Very impressed by the style and presence inside and out of this car in person, especially details like the wheels and foglamps, all standard. The Regal and Lacrosse base trims AND a few Cadillacs could get a few pointers here. Parked my new 2012 TSX demo nose to nose. Then over to the Regals. First oddity, a 2012 CXL with “Unit Build Without Power Mirror Turn Signal Indicators” and -$50. Odd. Using the 2011 mirror assemblies. Supplier issue? Only one like this on the lot. The GS standard 19” wheels are very well done and easily be confused with the optional 20's unless side by side with a close eye. Great car I wish I'd see more of sold and on the streets. Also an old leftover but very attractive gray 2011 CXL with the 19” accessory wheel package on the factory sticker. Too bad these wheels aren't available for a more normal option price than $3500 and change. Look great. At nearly $35k and not a Turbo, understood why a leftover. I'd go for it, for the right price. Then trucks. A really nice looking “Orange Metallic” (no other creative surnames?) Canyon. Then an All Terrain Sierra. Looks like All Terrain means mostly body color grille and badging. Interesting aspect between the 2 trucks being the 5-cyl 4wd Canyon and 5.3L/6-spd 4wd Sierra have idential 16/21 mpg ratings. Nice stuff.

Cheers or Jeers: 1,000 Mile 1996 Cadillac Fleetwood
caddycruiser replied to wildmanjoe's topic in Auctions and Classifieds
If only it also had sunroof, chrome wheels and V4P towing package. This guy has an incredible collection of cars like this, in Texas, and a whole website about them and their stories. Collector piece, but that price tag would still be a big gulp. -
It's odd. Those are mostly all I see. One day last week I finally saw 2 "lower" models with gray lower cladding and painted, not polished wheels. Looked dead on like a Saturn Vue XE. Otherwise, mostly loaded and V6'd with dual exhaust.

More new Chevy Captivas everywhere. On Sunday, another Mocha Bronze "loaded" one with AWD and V6 badging, a younger couple driving around. This was the 4th I had seen in 2 days. Thankfully, still a very nice design from Saturn/Opel that lives on freshly.

^^Too cool in France! Me...a black 2009 G8 GT Sport cruising beside me from home to work yesterday on 76. I love this car. Still looks so great on the road, and I miss mine daily. Either buying another one or the new Chevy SS in years to come if and when I ever to own a car again...

New white 2013 Taurus Limited with NY tags. Small changes but the front end and new wheels improve the presence. Old light blue Corvair sedan on the street in Philly tonight. Add in a smooshed red new Camaro 1LT being trucked away from the Chevy store next door to work today. Like an accident but not. More so like an elephant backed into the driver's door and roof.

Sounds fun. Hope there's a good mix that shows up. I will be working near there soon, with our new store under construction beside 422 in Royersford. Lots of great metal and land in the area, and not far from me here in Manayunk/Philly.

There are huge differences, and not speaking simply as a blinded Acura rep now, while a few platform bits may be shared, even models that have similar guts underneath are nothing alike. Try to compare an MDX to a Pilot, for example. They never simply re-skin a vehicle, they're unique, have different customers, different powertrains, totally different drive character, unique drivetrain systems, etc. We have a lot of interest in the ILX. Gives a lower priced step in a slightly smaller and more efficient package, into the Acura brand that has been in existence for a few years now. More so, it is most like the last/first gen TSX offering a smaller, lighter, and less expensive package than the current model. ILX vs. Verano vs. should be good reviews to read. Acura needs more marketing and will be getting more attention soon with more all new models like the volume MDX being new at year end, the TL being heavily re-done for 2012 but it's replacement also not far away (TL-X I do not know, if so. At a recent Acura gathering the RLX and it's rollout were discussed, but the TL and it's new replacement after the new MDX were still referred to as just TL, it may or may not be), the RLX itself, and new powertrain options.

An all new Hyundai Azera in white pearl at the King of Prussia mall, looked dealer fresh. Wasn't sure when these were hitting. At first looked to me like a loaded Sonata then thicker. I stopped to check out closer, in the dark tonight.
-
Bright blue new Equinox, re-painted (definitely not just a wrap), with a construction company logo. Interesting move. Must be their specific color.
-
Cyber Gray brand new Volt driving back from Limerick yesterday afternoon. These things look great, especially in a color like CG.

They weren't bad. A nice change of flavor. Given that I am rarely ever home before 9:30 daily, my cooking dinner choices are kept to a few items. Most include chicken, salad, or burger in some form. Did you make dessert?

Wow. I've been lacking on the cooking aspect for a long time. Thought I was being creative tonight stuffing my turkey burgers with peppers. Ha. Not a fan of ham, but Top Chef is calling you, ocn. I need a new live in girlfriend who can cook. I work too many hours and days to figure out how to effectively do so, or creatively.
