  1. White pearl 2013 BRZ, parked in its spot outside the Chrysler dealer (has to be an employee there), in front of it's BMW 6-series friend. Always together. Then another new 2013 Escape. White, mid level equipped, still in plastic. Looked headed south on dealer trade. They don't look bad, but in anything less than the top level trim, they look odd with plainer trim and smaller wheels. Like a melted Focus on stilts. Adjustment period after 11 years of the small box look.
  2. Too cool Citroen! What the heck was it doing in Michigan...
  3. Hilarious. Where was this at?
  4. Nuts...and sounds like there's more to the story...
  5. Checked out some new Subie's this afternoon, fresh off the truck 2013's. Nice changes to the nose and wheels on both the Legacy and Outback. And my antique side by side. The BRZ I wanted to see was gone.
  6. ^^And they are ALWAYS driven by middle aged or older women, wearing big hats...at least in Philadelphia. Same for new Land Cruisers I think I've seen 3 of in the past year. Rare big birds. They look antique then you see the keyless access buttons on the door handles, etc.
  7. Few more. Brand new Lexus LX470. Very few of these out & about, for obvious price/size/etc. reasons. Look big, old, and heavy tank-like, but also refined. If you wanted something like a Hummer but purring luxury, guess these are the fit. Heavy. And always driven by ladies wearing big hats, in my experience. While cruising across the PA Turnpike Thursday, finally a Milano Red new 2012 TSX Special Edition. We've only ever ordered Silver, White and Black. The new bright red looks great with the darker wheels.
  8. Awesome dark silver Audi A5 3.2 tonight in Philly. Followed by a gold Nissan Altima with a faded tan cloth top (really?), and then a navy blue Subaru SVX coupe. Been so long since I've seen an SVX.
  9. This remains the biggest issue. The current generation still drives extremely well and looks great, but the inefficient rear cargo/seating vs. every other competitor was a "we did everything but that" issue when the 2007's came out, and without a more changed structure in the rear now, waiting to see if they've been able to get creative back there. Otherwise, looking good under wraps. Tahoe and Yukon look like a Tahoe and Yukon. Hopefully not just evolutionary, but even better looking. I will miss the Avalanche. If I come into money in the next year, maybe find a way to buy a last of the last 2013.
  10. White pearl Subaru BRZ with temp tags, near our Acura store. 2 days in a row. Love this car, even in white.
  11. I never noticed that until the photos and comment. Hmm. I'm wondering what Mr. Fisker was buying in Target. Then again, who cares. Car looks like a freakish concept in reality then you see license plates and are confused. Another new Escape today. Robin egg blue/green fully loaded model. Looks much better with largest wheels, but still humpty dumpty from some angles. I think an employee at the Ford dealer near work is now demo driving it.
  12. Not to go off the topic of Verano, but I hear the same daily. Every one likes the look. Some are interested first based on the looks and then others on the smaller size and equipment. Great car, and a lot of demand especially for 6MT models. Not as luxurious inside as the Verano, but an edge still in tech and really fun driving dynamics. Rides better than the TSX in ways too, thanks to the new amplitude reactive dampers. I was very impressed by the Verano, except for the soft seats and softer powertrain feel. Like a luxury car in a small package. Day to day, the ILX sport and polished driving dynamics give it its own edge. I really will have to drive one...but I really was not impressed with the Civic SI I drove. Glad your getting good feed back on the Acura, and a 6MT would be a huge selling point for me. I hate automatics, and I am married to a woman who hates driving them. We have two teenage drivers in the house that learned to drive on manuals and pretty much refuse to drive anything automatic. Thus, the GTI or TDI thoruight for a 4 door replacement family car. I'll check out a 1lx, and get back to you. Same powertrain as the TSX with the slick 6-speed, yes. And a lot less weight, so it moves. We've sold several 6MT ILX's. Not as posh as the Buick, but a different character and different buyer, in ways. Definitely not a Civic.
  13. So sorry to hear. Dogs are the best. The oldest sheltie of the 3 in my family is "living on borrowed time" according to the vet with heart issues, and after being attacked last fall, but hopefully keeps chugging along. Nauti was cute. The end is hard, and just sucks. Do you have any other dogs or pets?
  14. What a wacked 30 minutes in Philly, of 2013 spottings. Something odd was going on at Target, or I just picked the high zoot corner. 1) 2013 Cadillac XTS at Target. NY dealer tags. Caramel/Jet Black leather. What a beast. 2) Coming back out of Target, a Fisker Karma now on the other side of my car. 3) Nearing home, a black 2013 Ford Escape. This was one. Then I was behind another on the highway after. Every time I see one, "Humpty Dumpty" comes to mind.
  15. Another black Range Rover Evoque in my complex. Still another 4 door, no 2 door models yet. Range Rover world.
  16. Blue Fisker Karma at a red light in Ardmore, PA Thursday. Very fitting of the scenery. Same place I'll see Ferrari's blazing around in snow & ice.

  18. SO HOT. I had customers right at 4 this afternoon in an already hot showroom (glass box, 98 degree heat & sun, doesn't matter how good your A/C is, it's hard to keep up) who then wanted to spend hours outside and ask 72 questions. I got home drenched. Then again, it is summer and to be expected. But holy...
  19. Based on the number of Acadia Denali's I see EVERY day every where I go in & around Philly and elsewhere, I have no doubt the Terrain Denali will sell, and specifically in 4-cyl form as most 2010+ Theta buyers have preferred. Changes seem minor but in the Denali way, are just enough to give a different ambiance and higher grade feel. The Acadia version sells in droves. My mother is 15 months into her 2011 Terrain SLT-1 AWD with the 3.0L and having already crossed 21k miles, no issues, and no complaints other than a lack of rear seat HVAC vent. It's not a small ute so just vents only in the dash don't cover the whole interior well enough. She's indifferent to Denali but if saw one in White Diamond, I think would like it. Told them about the 3.6L and also no interest, commenting it would probably just suck more fuel, unlike the 3.0L they like and have gotten used to. On that note, colors. White Diamond is available on select Equinoxes, I would presume or hope the same for the Terrain.
  20. Clean Focus SVT 5-door. Still really like these. Purer Focus, and dressed well by SVT. Then a black G8 GT with tint and rear window wing/deflector. Sign me up. I don't see enough of these.
  21. Seem intact. It's weird. When turning and starting out, it's like torque bind either in the front end or the AWD system. Like it binds and doesn't want to power. Turn the wheel straight, it frees up and runs smooth. At speed, no change turning or straight. I think dad's '96 did it a slight bit at odd times, but not like this. According to a few Subie forums, clutches in the trans/AWD differential can get gummed up and "stick" together causing similar things. Not totally sure yet. Will be scheduling a check/fluid change soon. Passed DE inspection and is tagged & good to go for 2 years. The most important part.
  22. Finally got the Legacy registered in Delaware, and everything passed clear. Also the first highway trip in 95 degree temps. Extremely impressed at how glass smooth this wagon rides and how quiet. Just hums. No noises, no bounce, just smooth and the A/C is kicking. Temp gauge never gets to half, also good. The only thing still bothering me is how much it shudders/stumbles when starting out/slow speed if turning. Feels like it binds up. Once at speed, or any curves, smooth and fine. But at slow speed binding/shudder. I think maybe trans fluid/filter and diff fluid change too? Other than that, what a nice $2k toy.
  23. I was very, very impressed by the Verano at our recent Acura ILX test track & drive event, where we got to compare it to competitors. We were looking for negative points on competing vehicles, and really the only 2 I had with the Buick were soft front seats and as extremely refined and polished as it rides and handles, it's not necessarily tossable with the current steering ratio. Deceptive on the track and can be thrown around, while still being silent and cushioned, but what a great small car. ILX more fun. Verano holy refined and polished. Love the Choccachino interior. I would definitely buy one.
  24. True. Won't do much except for a few bucks here and there, if I get to it. Antenna, driveability items, etc.The rest is "patina" unless someone feels like a project for a gift (cough, autobody brother for PDR dents and rust spot. Then again, he'd be too analytical and take too long). We'll see.
  25. Great car, really enjoying it. Usually drive it once a weekend. Rides and brakes like new, no joking. One wheel is almost perfect, the other 3 just look like wheel cleaner ate them. Tires are perfect and $$, so if anything I was pondering a cheap refinish or spend $100 on another set found online, maybe. Just to help clean the look. Few scrapes and the rust bubble detracts, but the lady said she took it to a body shop, they couldn't guarantee it wouldn't return, and she didn't want body work done. -Came from Delaware. Clean all around. A few less dents and scrapes, and it'd look that much better. -Shudders when turning and accelerating, pretty sure due to fluid in trans/diff. Fine otherwise. Common sometimes hard 1-2 shift. May have the Subie dealer change fluid, or someone else. -Cargo area leopard blanket to go, if I can still get a Subaru plastic liner for the floor. -Antenna broken off, so reception is slim. Bought a rubber whip antenna to replace, if I get to it. -Remote keyless, but no remote. Strange to have to use a key. Need to Ebay a remote and program. -Get a better cupholder? Only 2 are small ones that flip out of the dash, and odd to use. Great car. If I can clean it up further for a max of a few hundred more dollars, even better. Dad would like it. I really like the GT factor, before GT meant different wheels, hood scoop and trim. Projector fogs and GT badging. Rare and unique.
