CMax...well, at least it's more interesting than Camry circling the ring... As awkward and weird as it may be.

Awesome car and shots, the black sets it off perfectly. Glad to see they did a nice wheel design for the TDI, even without a lot of other fluff options. 51mpg, no sweat. How much is diesel running nowadays anyway? Been a while since I've even looked at what I spend on premium...

Need some advice on how to compensate for "free" service

Good move. The gift card sounds nice too, can go whenever. -
I don't visit often, and while we were in Baltimore we thought why not. Great place to hang around, and reminded me a lot of Lewes in DE. Very nice spot. Even if there are cloth topped, chrome stickered and Vogue tire'd XTS's nearby...

Back again...GS style this time
caddycruiser replied to caddycruiser's topic in Member's Rides Showcase
The GS lives on, I think now almost 6 months. Well, 6 months and only about 3100 miles. I scraped underneath the front bumper lip again on a curb gently, otherwise fine. Next to it's some days Dart neighbor: Out & about: Oil life still 80%. I usually have one done earlier, and it has been almost 6 months, but thinking just go to 5,000 as directed and then do so instead of waste. I tell my Acura customers everyday just to use the Oil Life Indicator anyway. And peel the dealer sticker off the back, just has a few too many things back there the more I look at it. Only wish it had Intellilink/voice control mixed with the Nav (very nice in mom's new Terrain) and that the Brembo's that are beasts didn't spew so much brown & black thick dust after even a short drive. Otherwise...vroom...more people need to buy these. I hate the reviews not understanding the GS, GS price or otherwise vs. apparent competitors. 30000 more miles to use. Where to go, where to go... -
Near Annapolis, MD on Wednesday afternoon, a black Cadillac XTS outside a Bob Evans fully covered... ...in a black cloth top, Vogue wheels, Vogue tires, peel & stick chrome trim, and gold emblems. Oh what a looker.

Meteor Gray (dark gray) new 2014 Mazda 6 decently dirty, leaving Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD while we were touring around. SUCH a great looking car, right color and wheels especially. Definitely stood out in traffic amongst the blah.

I like this idea, or anything similar after "hey lets go grab a drink and food, thanks" kind of thing. -
Vehicle: Volkswagen Beetle TDi (2013)
caddycruiser replied to ocnblu's topic in Member's Rides Showcase
They definitely are. The 2012 Passat TDI trade in I just had only sounded diesel slightly from outside, otherwise inside like a normal gas 4-cyl unit. Great motor. -

Good to hear. What other equipment/options are on your Beetle? Which trim level? -

Looks great and still mean in black! Any oddities like windows not rolling up correctly? 2012 had that. Otherwise the look of the new models are GREAT and you cannot beat a TDI, period. -
Very cool car! Thankfully VW's have much improved over what they were quality wise even a few years ago, and hopefully the 2013 Beetle is even better than the 2012 that had a few quirks. Had a trade in 2012 VW Passat TDI on a new Acura, and that TDI is GREAT. Enjoy the ride.

Hasn't said much about it yet. Had questions on the touch screen radio, but once I showed her Bluetooth audio streaming that also shows her album art and song information (VERY nice), she was happy. Did ask me if it had bigger wheels or sat higher, because she feels higher. I think it's just due to the roof being lower with sunroof. 2 kids were in the parking lot of her work staring at it and the wheels on Wednesday which weirded her out until she yelled at them to move. I said it's a good thing, more mini Escalade like. Oh well. Better than the base 17's for sure. I wasn't sure about the chromes and then parked next to the 2011, definitely like them more now than the old ones. Very nice little CUV, especially when properly equipped with V6 and the right options, and GMC upper market trimmings. 15k miles per year, then we'll see what she starts to like next.

Name: GMC Terrain (2013) Date Added: 08 March 2013 - 01:14 AM Owner: caddycruiser Short Description: New 2013 GMC Terrain SLT-1 AWD with 3.6L V6, Power Sunroof and 18" Chrome Wheels. View Vehicle

As mentioned in the other thread, I swapped my mother's 2011 Terrain SLT-1 AWD with the 3.0L for another brand new 2013 Terrain SLT-1 AWD with the 3.6L exactly 2 years and 30k miles to the day the first one was delivered. No issues with the 2011 and great mileage for the most part, little to no wear either. Still drum solid and tight after all the miles, and the 3.0L continued to be buttery smooth. Really her only complaints stemmed from a lack of HVAC in the rear and abnormal amounts of road noise that started to build with age, throughout the cabin on highway trips. By 30k, other than some dirt, the Michelin tires still looked barely touched and it was about due for the 10th oil change. Picked up the new 2013 Saturday night, all sparkling and ready to go from the same dealer in NJ where the first came from. Same car, but now with the 3.6L, the 18" Chrome Wheels (machined 18's no longer offered, and the base 17" wheels now standard on more trims were a no go), and Power Sunroof. Navigation or Power Tailgate would have been nice, but not necessities. Intellilink is great, and the graphics/functionality very impressive. Like a nav without nav software, and weather/movies/gas prices on it are interesting. Also the little changes like power lock buttons on the doors are small but appreciated. More importantly the much talked about 3.6L LFX. The parents never once had a complaint about the 3.0L so many people loved to hate. Got solid mileage and better than the 3.6L Camaro before it, even with AWD, and was nothing but smooth. Moved well. Having driven both 2 hours back to back I wanted to see differences and did see a few. The 3.0L 2011 with 30k miles felt quick off the line and SMOOTH. Better shifting than the rubber band feeling 2012 Caddy SRX I had in September, for sure. When pushed more and/or at higher speeds, you could feel a lack of torque as the engine remained buttery but a bit slow to gain speed. Not bad in any way. The 3.6L feels instantly more torquey and shifts quicker yet, with more available power regardless of speed. Still not a huge difference, but where the 3.0L seems to weez a bit at some RPM's, the 3.6L downshifts and pulls more. In my driving I got 2 mpg more with the 3.6L, but I was also trying more to do so with the still to be broken in car. Interesting though because it was less taxed and cruised easier. The 2011 did gain road roar with age, on certain highways, quite boomy inside. Tires or something. The fresh 2013 with same treads was quieter, for sure. Also, the same Pioneer audio in the 2011 sounded poor and I couldn't figure out why, aged speakers or something else. Couldn't adjust it correctly or to compensate. All in all, very much enjoy the 2013 and it checked boxes the 2011 did not, 3.6L, wheels, and audio included. Mom is adjusting to the "interesting" wheels that have garnered her some extra looks, but enjoying regardless. I had them add the accessory splash guards, net and rear cargo liner from GMC for functional use. Fresh at the dealer: Back to back with the old 2011: And the 2011 again returned back to the same dealer, next day. CPO here it comes. This one is leased. Much cheaper, and more features. Incredible deal for a lot of car. As long as the fuel mileage is same or better, dad will approve eventually too.

All 2013 Camaro wheels are new, except for the base LS's black steel wheels. Different spokes and shapes. Maybe they were the new silver LT spokes.

Picked the new one up Saturday night and helped her switch everything over yesterday. Some very nice changes, from the Intellilink audio to the torquier/better shifting LFX 3.6L/6-speed, and sunroof making the cabin feel airier. Still the same car, but improved. Will start another thread this week to go over those changes. Until then, a few photos. Back to back 2 hour drives in each, similar but nice changes the parents should enjoy. I got 2 mpg better out of the 2013 on the trip than I did in the 2011, as well. Hopefully that continues.

And there you go. She said herself before "I usually want a new car after 3 years anyway", now after having gone to 72 month loans instead of 60 the last few cars, she'll be that much closer and spend a lot less per month. Dropping $150 per month going from her current loan to a 3 year lease of the new SLT-1, thanks to GM card money stacked upon itself. Oh, GM rebate piles, they make things interesting. Then often people swap out again after 2 years or so, when its the right time for resale/mileage/incentives, and into another. A Denali or more/different options would have been nice, but IntelliLink and sunroof should suffice. Never complained about power with the 3.0L, but did complain about mileage in her Camaro. From owner reviews I've seen so far, Equinox/Terrain people claim the 3.6L in 2013's is doing best of all and even better than the 2.4L at times. Hopefully the transmission tuning is correct. She did ask for the Titanium interior, but also a no go. I think it would be too light anyway and look discolored quickly anyway, but have never been in one so equipped.

Another year has passed and a change is in store. With GM card bonuses, private offer bonuses, decent resale value and good point 2 years in (oil changes only, never an issue except for an intermittent clunk sometimes when reversing and braking/going, mom says), the 2011 is at 29,xxx miles and I thought time to check out new. Just got mom a new 2013 Terrain SLT-1 equipped exactly the same except now with the 3.6L, Chrome 18" wheels (not my favorite, but the base 17" are a no go and her regular 18" wheels are no longer offered), and sunroof. Still the same Quicksilver with Jet Black. Hopefully the gruntier LFX 3.6L gets the same and better mileage she's gotten used to with the 3.0L, and the IntelliLink, etc. are nice updates. This will be her first lease, but it's so much cheaper to do so why have a long loan when she too wants a new car every few years anyway. I will be swapping 2011 for 2013 for her this weekend. Until then a preview: Dealer traded from Harrisburg to our GMC-Buick spot in south Jersey, and then to Delaware. So different. Not. Update to come, I have to see what a 2hr trip in a new 3.6L one vs. the current 3.0L one is like.

Item: 2013 Chevrolet Traverse LT
caddycruiser replied to Olds Guy's topic in Member's Rides Showcase
New 2013. Which model and equipment? Did you trade anything? -
At first glance, I thought that was Shur's lane. But it doesn't look steep enough. Lyceum, or "the wall". I live right at the top of it. Fiat stuffed into weeds, I noticed after seeing the picture here.

Rainy day, city hills and streets. New Fusion higher end model in dark gray with tinted glass. Great looker.

Chevrolet Cruze LTZ RS or Buick Verano Leather Group?
caddycruiser replied to GMTruckGuy74's topic in The Lounge
No rush, sounds like a plan. Both nice cars. -
That is ODD...must have liked the Trailblazer styling more...but to go to that extent...interesting.
