  1. I figure you will have the option as they do on the impala with brushed Aluminum!
  2. I guess that they will have the 3900 as standard with a 4 speed auto.. maybe the 6 speed auto.
  3. Working in these mines is Amazing. To see the amount of work that goes into making oil is mind boggleing. I've worked on the crushers, surges, slurry preps and the extraction. Economy to scale seems impossible when it takes 2 tons of tar sand to make 1 barrel of oil, yet they have it down to $10. All of this work, just to make it crude oil. http://www.oilsandsdiscovery.com/ Hydrogen couldn't be any harder
  4. As Harley said, the amount of oil in tar sands is huge, but it is worst for the environment. There are huge amounts of natural gas used to remove the oil from the sand, whether it is mined or SAGD (Steam Assisted Gravity Drain). Hydrogen is necessary now, there will be plenty of ways to use oil, but with the explosion of the automobile in China and India, we will not be able to keep up much longer.

    Toyota bashing

Ok, this is the statement that I find the most real. Nobody is going to try to make the technology cheaper, just wait till it is relatively cheap. It is the best satire I have read in quite some time, good find!
  6. Agreed. Kinda funny tho, in Newfoundland two plates are required on Pick-ups but only one on cars... I don't get it!
  7. It's nice... not a bad place to spend a few hours. It is certainly better than people give it credit for. It's about par with the new Impala!
  8. Here it is, Corey's favorites: Tom Petty - Christmas all over Paul McCartney - Wonderful Christmas (Simply having) Bandaid - Do they know it's Christmas Royal Guardsmen - Snoopy's Christmas Eagles - Please come home for Christmas Bryan Adams - Something about Christmas John Lennon - So this is Christmas It's my favorite of all time... the newer stuff doesn't do much for me!
  9. I just hope that you are wrong and he can turn GM around. It appears that he is not going anywhere anytime soon.
  10. I don't believe that there will be any more metal bumpers on the 1500s. They were making the switch on the last model.. The time has come that they will be all plastic...
  11. I think they will re-fresh the Malibu, but without sheetmetal change. I could see a better interior and a re-worked nose and tail. It may do the trick, the interior is where it will lack the most.

  24. Scotiabank takes GMAC loans Canadian Press TORONTO — The Bank of Nova Scotia is taking over $20-billion (U.S.) worth of vehicle loans from General Motors. The deal between the Canadian bank's Scotia Capital corporate and investment banking division and the General Motors Acceptance Corp. financial subsidiary of the world's biggest auto maker entails an immediate purchase of $3-billion US worth of loans. The agreement announced Monday calls for committed purchases of GM-originated American car loans by Scotiabank under a $6-billion (U.S.) revolving facility over a five-year period. The loans, described as “a full spectrum of GMAC's active U.S. retail auto finance contracts,” will continue to be administered by GMAC. “We are pleased to add these high-quality U.S. retail assets to our portfolio and to demonstrate our unique capability to meet the needs of clients who operate across Canada, Mexico and the U.S.,” said Steve McDonald, co-CEO of Scotia Capital. For GMAC, the deal frees up capital to be redeployed in other parts of its business such as mortgages and insurance, while continuing to support GM sales of cars and trucks.
