  1. In Tulsa, Buick was mixed with Chrysler/BMW. What I heard was that GM wasn't allowing that anymore and took the Buick franchise away and put them all with Pontiac/GMC dealers. We have 1 Cadillac/Saab dealer thats been here forever, they were a Lotus dealer too years ago. All of our Chevy dealers are Chevy only with the exclusion of one who sells medium duty Isuzu. The local Ford monopoly bought the Hummer franchise, but it was taken away as well I'm told because of GM and given to one of the Chevy dealers on the south end of town. Our Olds dealers were always Olds only, one shut down years ago, the other turned into KIA. All of the new big shiny stores are out south and are all Nissan, Ford, Chrysler and the big import dealer who's Inifiniti, Jaguar, Benz and I don't know what else. Theres a rumor that Sonic is pulling out of Tulsa which means two big Chevy dealers and a redundant Nissan dealer, but it hasn't happened yet. We closed our satellite used lot down the street and even closed our on site used building and moved everyone into the new car building. Lots of managers have been fired at all the stores in our area across all makes, lots of paycuts, people doing double duty. My own personal feeling for taking the Buick franchise and giving to all the Pontiac dealers is a sign of the closure of Pontiac. Not sure why they didn't give back to the Cadillac store where it began.
  2. Well, I kind of looked around in awe at my coworkers, and sat in silence for a moment cause I didn't know WHAT THE HELL he was talking about. OMG!! Then it hit me and I corrected him, rude maybe but I wasn't gonna let that go. I've accepted that 90% of the people who call for parts for the Lumina or Lumina APV call it a Chevy Aluminum, mostly old people, and the 90% of people, again mostly old, who want parts for their Chevy VenturA van. But the Gooley took the cake fo sho. HEHE
  3. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
  4. Speaking of the 6000, funny story. One time a guy called in looking for parts for his Pontiac (pronounced it as) Gooley. It was a 6000 LE!! LMAO!!!
  5. Bettie Page So sad that she passed. A lot of people thought she was already dead, since she basically fell off the map in '58. She was a revolutionary, helped fire up the sexual revolution and gave women the courage to explore their sexuality. Amazing lady and we owe her a lot.
  6. So.... what you're saying is I'm sofa king retaaaaded? LOL :AH-HA_wink:
  7. Happy Birthday!!! birthday.mp3
  8. I think the site is fantastic the way it is, tons of us at work on here regularly. Certain people need to step off. I've never had a problem on here ever.
  9. I don't think its the talking so much as the texting. I'm an admitted text addict and text while driving everyday and have killed many a turtle in my day. It is dangerous and stupid but I do it anyway. The cell phone problem is teenagers who mostly suck at driving anyway and don't pay attention even when they aren't distracted and stupid ass women drivers.

  12. LOL
  13. Ours does too, but it was beyond anything they ever expected. We had electric crews from countless states here to help.
  14. Ours last year was the worst on record, I was only without power for 5 days, but the grocery store was running out of food, out of work for a week because no power at work, this whole town shut down. We filled the biggest parks in Tulsa with limbs and trees. Still cleaning up a year later. One of the worst parts to me was Tulsa has a gorgeous park in midtown called Woodward and some aholes were wanting to cut down a bunch of the trees and people were fighting like hell to stop it, then the storm came and destroyed more trees there than they wanted to cut down. Very sad. But somehow, the survivor tree in OKC survived again, people were keeping vigil around it trying to melt the ice and keep any branches from breaking off. I believe the Council Oak tree survived as well. I have a major soft spot for trees, not like tree hugger, subaru driver weird, just love them dearly and it was so gut wrenching to see the devastation to them. There were people without power like 6 weeks or more after the storm. Crazy!!
  15. being the only regular vag? LOL
  16. I would have to concur, great cars, bullet proof. The older gen 3.1's were great, the 3.4 X motor was great too, problem was only dealer techs can work on them so they are all mostly dead now.

  18. WOW!!!
  19. I'm so glad you both are in one piece. Too bad about the little Cavi, they are amazing little cars. I made my mom buy one so I wouldn't have to worry about her getting around or lots of repairs. I've had very few crashes, none my fault, but I have had a 40 mph impact. A lady turned left in front of me in about a 95 Cougar and I was in my 84 Cutty, she got T-boned and towed off, I drove mine home. LOL I hope your luck turns around, and I hope she gets to feeling better, its amazing, you hurt in places you'd never imagine.
  20. Valvo is pushing their Syn probably because Mobil 1 is almost impossible to get right now. A hurricane I'm told shut down the biggest of their refineries. We can't get it right now. We bought as much as we could from the O'Reillys hub in Tulsa, don't know what we'll do when we run out on the vettes, otherwise use the valvo or royal purple.
  21. I'm a diehard BFG fanatic. The Traction T/A is a great tire. Contis suck royally. The GY Integrity is total junk. We sell tires and I almost sell BFG exclusively because its the only tire I trust.
  22. Yeah I think it has been well maintained, thank goodness. I guess I could drop the tranny pan and change the fluid, its just 200r4, not a big deal to rebuild if I have too. A synblend would be ok I suppose. I wouldn't mind running a full syn, its worth it.
  23. corndog
  24. Funny, if it were 10% of that here in Oklahoma the whole state would shut down. We empty the grocery store if they say theres even a chance of snow, even 1/2 an inch. LOL
