  1. You ain't no kind of man until you've drank a few shots of 'shine.
  2. In a strange way, it makes me miss mine as well. Quite an accomplishment too. While it did a great job of saving my ass in my first wreck, I hated that truck. You did buy a manual, right ocn?
  3. I've been wondering where you got off to; the lights are starting to get dim and no one's been cleaning the office bathroom around here. You can moonlight from cleaning Ed's Private Executive Washroom once a week to save face can't you? And Camino, I hope the best for you. I have dental problems to worry about too so I really understand how bad things suck right now.
  4. Why do I get the feeling that GM won't build this at the last second?
  5. My friend's '99 Silverado has 313,000 miles and is almost 2,000 miles overdue for an oil change. Runs fine with no issues other than a driver's side window that's fallen off track. Hey, can you find me a '99 S-Class with 313,000 miles? Oh wait ... "Depreciation"? What? Are you trying to be British now?
  6. Why would I run from a Cavalier? It's not going to accelerate out of control and flatten me too is it?
  7. That was the answer I had been hoping for.
  8. http://louisville.craigslist.org/cto/1658178176.html Well ... right?
  9. Let's do something different ... Wrapped-it-round-a-tree Ford Ranger Special Mad-Tyte Honda Civic with bungie cords holding the hood down and with mismatched aftermarket rims
  10. I don't believe you have a wife. Enjoy your hand. I don't believe you have a Jetta TDI wagon. Enjoy your '84 Lebaron Convertible. I don't believe you have a Mini Cooper. Enjoy your box of leftover Chinese takeout.
  11. Junkyards in rural areas will let you pull parts if you just walk up and ask the guy behind the counter if it's cool. A-holes in larger cities won't let you because they're afraid that if you slip on a hubcap from a '87 Ciera Holiday, you'll sue because you didn't realize you were in a junkyard and didn't think that sort of thing was just lying around for someone to stumble on. Also, they like the extra cash.
  12. Don't let the door hit you in the ass on your way out. Just remember Zeta is not long for this world and I'm sure you will be very happy there when the Holden plant is converted to GMDAT cars. Cruze is just the 1st of many GMDAT vehicles they will be building there ... This guy was fun. What's he doing these days? He said he had a big promotion coming up so he's probably cleaning Ed's private executive washroom and reading his e-mails by now, right?
  13. All That Remains sucks.
  14. Agreed. Toyotas fail to appeal to me on an emotional level, which is why, while I can respect some of the more impressive or simply performance-minded products they've built (MR2, Celica, Supra, LF-A, FT-86, etc.), I could never own one. The slipping quality (and corporate attitude) is also a big factor as well. Why I would spend a good sum of money on a product that is clearly of inferior quality when I know there are more competent automakers who are just as willing to sell me a car? As were the S-10 and Camaro of the '80s.
  15. My dad has an '02 exactly like what you're describing with the 5.9L V8. Nice truck and good rear seat room. Before that, there was the '99 which, for only 92,000 or so miles, was an absolute dog. Typical clear coat issues, faulty HVAC system, and it drank oil (no leaks, though).
  16. How did I miss this thread before? Words fail me.
  17. Considering I have a high school diploma, I must remark there is an insubstantial amount of any given fuel source to keep this "hip" and "trendy" internet "meme" going at full strength.
  18. Again, wanted to make use of that.
  19. "92,000 original miles ... 200,000 on rebuilt engine ..." Wait ... what? Seriously. This doesn't add up.
  20. Alright, here goes Alex. 1. What is the sixth-generation Monte Carlo (2000-2007). 2. What is the fifth-generation Monte Carlo (1995-2000). 3. What is the fourth-generation Monte Carlo (1981-1988). 4. What is 1974. (1974's nameplate was in a chrome strip above the eggcrate insert.) 5. What is the third-generation Monte Carlo (1978-1980). 6. ??? 7. Wild guess: What is moonshine. 8. What is the Chevrolet Camaro convertible, first-gen (1967-1969).
  21. I'd rather see late model Impalas and Centuries treated this way than a nice classic car.
  22. ITT: Coasting downhill in neutral.
  23. Gramps, the derogatory rancor reflected in that remark I don't intend to dignify with comment. Fucking in the butt, you say? For a guy who doesn't care what we think, you sure made a hell of a rant there.
  24. Find the nearest drive-thru chapel.
  25. This is the weirdest damn video I've found on YouTube.
