  1. Try these. Some of them are pre-1990, however. 1994 Chevrolet Blazer, $1800: http://longisland.craigslist.org/car/626848169.html 1983 Cadillac Eldorado, $1200 http://longisland.craigslist.org/car/626856477.html 1987 Buick Regal, $975, needs cosmetic work: http://longisland.craigslist.org/car/626822132.html 1989 Pontiac Firebird, $840: http://longisland.craigslist.org/car/626776965.html 1997 Mercury XR7, $700: http://longisland.craigslist.org/car/626643260.html 1988 Chevrolet Camaro, $1500: http://longisland.craigslist.org/car/626596837.html

  4. With Zeta facing the scrutiny it faces from the faction within GM mentioned in the article, a Commodore/G8 coupe faces many hurdles. I know I will be paying attention to the news concerning this car in the future. I hope we see eventually see it. You know, on an off-topic note, if there is anything GM could do to penalty dealers who practice "market adjusted" pricetags, that would be welcome. Pontiac dealers are very bad for it. They've done it with the Solstice, Solstice GX/P, the GTO, and today I noticed a G8 today with a "market-adjusted" sticker of $2275. I am very upset about that. The dealers are only hurting themselves when they do that.
  5. It's not like you were really fooling anyone, anyway. :AH-HA_wink:
  6. Nor can they outrun the infamous Chaos Theory. :AH-HA_wink:

  11. Looked at another G8 at the local Pontiac dealer. It had a "market-adjusted price," which inflated the $32 grand price tag $2275 dollars more.

  13. New sig. Would anyone care to guess the quote?
  14. I wish that were the case, that the car was really out in the driveway right now and this was all a joke. But, sadly, it isn't. He was headed home to get the money and then started reconsidering about half way into the drive back. I think he can still be convinced, however. :AH-HA_wink: Also, if you wouldn't mind me asking for my dad, he asked me on the way home to ask you what you think that particular Monte would be worth, asking price of the car disregarded, and what it could be worth with the restoration finished. I hope you do get to feeling better, Cort. The flu is never fun. I had to make due with a mild case of it late last month (it seems that I am more vulnerable to the flu than ever since I had a flu shot back in January) and it was a nightmare to put up with. I still have an annoying cough from it.

  18. He came very close to buying it today but decided he wanted to sleep on it at the last minute.
  19. It sounds like the dreaded Dr. DRE is in town! You are better off buying a new one or even a gently used one.
  20. Guess that answers my question from the PM. Thanks, Cort! I'm going to keep on asking him about it and tell him to do just that once I get him down there and the lot is open. I know that after he got to read all of the feedback from here, his interest increased tenfold. :AH-HA_wink:
  21. Update: I showed my dad the feedback left in this thread and I think he's pondering the car even more. Let's see where this ends up by the end of the week.
  22. Well, I suppose the brochures tell a story. 1973: http://www.oldcarbrochures.com/main.php?g2..._serialNumber=2 1974: http://www.oldcarbrochures.com/main.php?g2..._serialNumber=2 1976: http://www.oldcarbrochures.com/main.php?g2..._serialNumber=2 Cort would probably know the real story, but I want to say that GM went to an all-color dash in 1974 judging by what I see here.
  23. That is interesting about the instrument panel. I'm going to have to look into that.
  24. Update: We have had a busy evening today, so our father-son test drive had to be postponed until tomorrow afternoon. I think that another look at the car will convince him to negotiate with the seller a bit and take it from there.
