  1. My problem with the headlamps would be how they meet with the cutline of the hood after you see that particular panel gap run uninterrupted for the entire length of the central section of the front fascia. (This sort of "pie cut" hood was executed correctly on the Malibu as the cutline did not touch any design element of the fascia on that car, and left them uninterrupted, which is one of the main underlying reasons why you attempt such a design element in the first place.) The lighting elements are pretty interesting, however.
  2. This is horribly sick in every way imaginable. And you cannot really say anything other than such. I hope no one will be offended when I say this, but the institution of some religions can be as vile as the sin it denounces. Sometimes much worse.
  3. Ah, there is the same risk with buying a car from an ad in an Auto Trader magazine, so I am fine with the risks. Hmm ... I believe I will look for a first-generation Monte for my dad there as soon as I have a free moment.

  5. Rush was also my first thought.
  6. You know, I am maybe reminded somewhat of the old GMC Terracross concept car by the squared off wheel openings and the way they are flared.
  7. I wonder why the artist of the sketch goes uncredited?

  9. Oh, no. I didn't mean haggling with them on eBay via an account. I meant looking for phone numbers, calling the seller, and making a cash offer over the telephone. If the seller is serious about selling what he wants to sell, I know that he will do business in whatever way he can.
  10. That is why you never bother with directly buying from eBay. In not so many words, eBay is like one huge directory to me. :AH-HA_wink: The LeSabre of yours is a very nice car, but you know where my dedication would be in the situation that you have described, as far as that goes. :AH-HA_wink:
  11. The beginning of your project awaits, Sixty8. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1970-CHEVY-...3QQcmdZViewItem The Chevelle is, by and by, my favorite A-Body and places very high on my "To Buy" list.
  12. I have seen this car silently cruising along a city street. This car has quite a deal of presence, especially in black and other darker colors. The design may not be a work of rolling sculpture, but it is designed well enough to grab your attention and hold it there until it drives out of your view.
  13. Corrected. :AH-HA_wink:

  16. Congratulations, Cort!
  17. It would not change my feelings about it in the least bit. If the grille wore a Opel or a Holden or even a Toyota logo, I would still say that it is a nice design mildly marred by a few conflicting details (regarding the exterior).
  18. Well, the documentation certainly makes it appear to be a legitimate example of a Monte Carlo with a manual transmission.
  19. I believe I will give it a full test run when I get home by updating my sig ... Again guys, thank you very much. I hope that I may be able to return the favor someday. :AH-HA_wink:
  20. If you know of a decent running example for under five-grand, without major rust issues, and that is no farther away than about 150 - 200 miles away from central Kentucky, please drop me a PM! From what I understand, he really wants a first-generation Monte Carlo over anything else he could spend his money on.
  21. It worked great. Thank you SS. And thank you everyone who extended your help. None of the CS downloads would work correctly, but that is alright. PS 7.0 will do just fine I believe.
  22. No. Indeed it is not.
  23. I am glad to see you and your car were reunited! Congratulations, Capriceman!
