  1. I want a turn. "So they put number on your television Mr. Gardner, oh yeah. A messed up generation put the pressure on you, You're a coward, uh-huh."
  2. Agreed. I would have probably shrunk the driving lights to a certain degree, instead of moving them up, to allow for an offset plate.
  3. Just speaking hypothetically.
  4. Something that has always bothered me about the Pontiac Solstice would be how they moved the placement of the arrowhead badge and the hood cutline from the concept car. The repositioning of the badge also gives the car more of a "cheeky" look that bothers me a little bit. Just something that I came to a full realization of while looking at my sig. Still a beautiful car, however, and it doesn't do much in the way of dampening my appreciation of the car.

  6. I would like to keep things as they were back around this time last year personally, before new CAFE laws had to step in and scare the $h! out of GM. Everything was looking great and we were getting handed the best ideas GM had to offer. Now we are left holding the bag regarding a lot of things, and it looks that Pontiac might just be one of those reasons why. But now I am basically seeing only two options regarding Pontiac: move it ... or lose it. If PCS's posts regarding Pontiac are any indication of the train of thought between members of GM top brass, we could indeed run the risk of seeing Pontiac being muscled out of GM entirely. I do not want to see Pontiac being handed a slow, suffocating death through product starvation. So, if GM is being serious about silently deep-sixing the performance division of its empire, I propose that they move it again instead, so that we get to keep our performance alternative. It is better than no Pontiac at all. Plus, I see that grouping it in with Saab and Hummer, GM's niche brands that really are not expected to be volume sellers, allows Pontiac the chance to not divert from its performance-minded mission. Saab and Hummer are two of the more focused, more limited-appeal brands within GM ... and such would be true of a no-holds-barred performance Pontiac division. It wouldn't appeal to everyone and would maintain a strict focus. This is an idea that I like, as well.
  7. But then where does that leave Saab? Saturn should be positioned as a step-up from Chevrolet and a step down from Buick. Just like the Oldsmobile division it intends to supplement/replace. It still should offer European design and quality however. Pontiac is not a good step-up from Chevrolet. As such, it indeed does not belong in a sales channel with Buick and GMC. I believe I am now starting to see the thinking behind replacing Pontiac in that particular sales channel. You start out with Chevrolet, step up to Saturn, step up to Buick (or GMC), then step up to Cadillac. But the division should not be killed-off totally. Pair it with some other division. Saab perhaps? Saab, Hummer, and Pontiac would actually make a nice sales division, a sales division for the niche brands. Chevrolet and Cadillac should stand alone. Then you should have Buick, Saturn, and GMC in another sales channel as the mid-ground between Chevrolet and Cadillac, the "book-end divisions." Simple fix. Indeed it does.

  9. Well, they don't look exactly like that, but they are close in some details. :AH-HA_wink:

  11. Again, a warm welcome back from me, Charger. It is good to have you back on board! Be careful driving, by the way.
  12. Wii So where have you been for so long? I hope you stick around for a while!
  13. Xbox You too, Charger.
  14. owls OMFG! He is back! Run away! Hide! Scurry! Flee! Flee! j/k
  15. You mean that there is a flush fascia design on the Challenger? The Camaro has that, too.
  16. "This is the beginning of tomorrow; this is the beginning of the way its gonna be, for you and me ..."
  17. The front view is of their vision of the coupe model. Again, I think you will find most of the surfaces are similar when you compare them to the spy shots of the actual Cobalt sedan, especially around the upper portion of the car, but the grille is quite off from the real thing.
  18. I thought it was Kansas! I was going to guess that it was "Dust in the Wind," but I knew that was wrong.
  19. "Sad But True" - Metallica No problem.
  20. If there is a Delta II Pontiac in store, I echo your expectations of exclusive sheetmetal, as well. I hope that Pontiac would also make the most out of having such a car, make it more than just a fraternal twin to the Chevrolet Cobalt. I am envisioning it as a Lancer competitor, with aggressive, bold design and bold surfaces, with a range-topping all-wheel drive GX/P to take on the Evolution and possibly even getting Pontiac into rallying. I could live with that, sure. Now there is the problem of naming it. I wonder, would the Tempest name fit such a car? And if I could have it my way, I would position a mid-sized Alpha Pontiac above that, then with an Omega Pontiac above that. Add the Solstice on Kappa II and the Pontiac range is complete in my eyes. It is so simple. As for an Epsilon II Pontiac, it could have a place as well if it was properly designed to be a Pontiac. However, it would present some unwanted overlap with the Alpha Pontiac, but then again, I wouldn't really foresee a lot of Epsilon II Pontiac shoppers cross-shopping the Alpha Pontiac in the same showroom. I see those two cars appealing to entirely different audiences. The Epsilon II Pontiac could also provide a few Delta II buyers a chance to step up within the Pontiac brand when it is time to trade in.

  22. Let's not point fingers at any individual who has joined these forums. If we start playing the blame game, this thread will get closed by the admins, and I would rather it stay open.
  23. Yes. I am having a hard time placing which automaker or brand has had the same thing said about it as well ...
  24. Saturn will have a version of the Opel Corsa.
