  1. I have to obtain a copy of The Great Camaro then. If it is no longer in print, then I will buy an old copy of it from eBay.
  2. A Morgan? No, no. Try a Noble. :AH-HA_wink:
  3. I really do not doubt the Volt program at all. GM does have untapped experiences in which they can draw on in the Volt's case. But what I want to see is the passion all GM management has shown with the Volt applied to each and every last new vehicle program in it's pipeline. Throw out all the stops, all the rulebooks, all the bureaucracy, settle issues in one day ... or at least kick an impressive percentage of those hurtles away and away for good. We have recently seen how good the product from GM can be with all of that or most of that still in place, I can only imagine how great it will be with most of that gone and done away with. I hope the Volt program teaches GM lessons in how to do things in not only in special vehicle programs, but in common programs as well.
  4. You are welcome. I love seeing cars in their "embryonic" forms. It proves some of the best inspiration. I once heard that the second-generation F-Body cars were to still have a pillar-less hardtop design and did in the early stages of their design. I would love nothing more than to see if there is any truth to that claim.
  5. A very bold concept. I love it!
  6. I updated my earliest post with some Craigslist findings. See what you think.
  7. Ah, the showings of a true man! :AH-HA_wink:
  8. I would be very wary of the first-generation Neon. My friend got one not too long ago for one-thousand dollars in nearby Laurel County. The little car runs only on three-cylinders at speeds around 60 to 70 mph, has a nasty transmission shutter at low speeds, and gauges that randomly go dead and then come back on board. Some of these cars might look very clean, like my friend's, but can hide a lot of problems. Some cars to look at, consider: http://worcester.craigslist.org/car/716888090.html http://worcester.craigslist.org/car/716665286.html http://worcester.craigslist.org/car/716282144.html (<-- '95 Concord.) http://worcester.craigslist.org/car/716255471.html http://boston.craigslist.org/nos/car/716841916.html http://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/car/716773970.html http://boston.craigslist.org/nos/car/716758526.html http://boston.craigslist.org/bmw/car/716752764.html (<-- Taurus Wagon) http://boston.craigslist.org/nwb/car/716704164.html http://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/car/716618792.html (<-- Chrysler LHS) http://boston.craigslist.org/sob/car/716577227.html (<-- Audi 90, 5-speed, nice.) http://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/car/716409860.html (<-- Dodge Caravan, seller seems motivated, price could be negotiable.) http://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/car/716404239.html (<-- A Subaru Forester could be a nice wagon substitute.) http://westernmass.craigslist.org/car/716678808.html (<-- Ford Probe, 5-speed.) http://westernmass.craigslist.org/car/716434681.html (<-- Decent Intrepid.) http://westernmass.craigslist.org/car/715796490.html (<-- Cheap Saab, needs some work.) http://westernmass.craigslist.org/car/715775551.html http://westernmass.craigslist.org/car/715119462.html
  9. Garfunkel
  10. Nice find, SS623. I like the car a lot and it seems that you also got a good deal as well.
  11. I like the concept behind the Ralliart editions of the new Lancer quite a lot. If you put a larger turbo on one, you have a car that is actually just as good as the new Evo itself.
  12. Paul
  13. I love the both of them, the Z/28 and the mysterious Corvette-like concept car.
  14. What I would really love to see here would be initial sketches and clay proposals for the second-generation Firebird and Camaro. Check this out:
  15. Maybe they are using the word Hummer in a general, generic sense, just as some people (okay, rural folks) will refer to an SUV or SUV-like vehicle as a "jeep" or "blazer."
  16. How is this a Hummer?
  17. I am so sorry to hear about this, capriceman. My sincerest condolences to you and Kim.
  18. And yet another Japanese automaker helps itself to GM's rear-drive lunch. Someone at GM had better start taking notes.
  19. A second-generation F-Body inspired design was heavily explored in the creation of the new Camaro. However, it was ultimately rejected because it was felt that it followed the Mustang too closely.
  20. If I were in your shoes, it would be the Mazda 3 or the Astra. The Vibe is alright, but I am not crazy about it.
  21. dachshund
  22. A 1972 Oldsmobile 98 sedan. What a beast!
  23. garten Naturally this is the word that would follow.
  24. rabies Well, it rhymed. Sort of.
  25. I would do it if it meant that I could get the car I really wanted. As for emissions tests, yes, you can make these engines pass those tests. If they couldn't, then why do I see restored big-block Chevelles out in California? As for a warranty, I think GM Performance Parts does offer some form of warranty on their crate engines, and if not, you could always buy one. If it meant I could get the car that I really wanted, then I would do it and find a way to make it work.
