  1. What was that now sonny? Gasket hoppin? Go on and get the hell offa my property with yer shenanigans. Gertrude's got m' Geritol and Metamucil ready.
  2. I believe I've aged 30 years older just by looking at that car. That makes me 48 then. Time to buy a Corvette.
  3. I do, but that doesn't mean I, you know, like it. As far as we know.
  4. I'm too busy projectile vomiting to find out which emotion I currently have against you right now Satty.
  5. I have two ancestors who were full-blooded Cherokee. Wow. I really am a mutt.
  6. But I thought you also spent time in the U.S. when you were younger too, in the big old state of Tex-ass? Then again I haven't actually spent any real time behind the keyboard of a PC in months, so I've basically forgotten most of the things we talked about via MSN. I'm usually accessing the 'net via my iPod touch and a WiFi connection and, of course, I don't have Messenger on it (although I'm sure there's an app for that). And I don't have a moral issue with nudity either ... it just depends on who's nude.
  7. I don't find it appropriate at all. I'm more than sure that GM does have some affiliation with the museum. Knew that. The St. Louis plant, from what I understand, was one of GM's worst factories before production shifted to BG. Well, I'm not up to date with a lot of my GM knowledge. I've been losing interest in the company and I've been busy with work and the Cutlass. So I suppose that driving another few nails down in an already ailing state's coffin is worth it so as long as GM can ship a few thousand Corvettes overseas two hours quicker? We all know how well the Corvette sells in Europe. Only rich cocks from Switzerland buy them. Elsewhere, no one really thinks twice about it. The numbers are small. Now my discontent with GM is starting to fester into dislike.
  8. Memo to PCS: you haven't been around long enough to remember how things used to be in the United States during the 1950s and 1960s either. You've just been watching the $h! hit the fan longer than I have. :AH-HA_wink: The truth is, if my foresight is 20/20, the America of today might look far better than the America of tomorrow. In fact, America started it's downward spiral just as you were parading around in Pampers, i.e. the 1970s. I'm not saying that there's a connection, but ... ya know ...

I dunno. My agent was quoting me rates of $250 plus before I bought the Firebird. I checked around and Grange said that they wouldn't increase the rate at all from the Sonoma. Go figure.
  10. Mine is on fire. Bahahaha.

All State Farm agents are dumb. Thankfully I have Grange now. Same exact coverage, just cheaper.
  12. Our G6 wasn't that great of a car either. Before we finally traded it for the Aura, it was always in the shop for issues with the electronic steering system. The 3.5L V6 in that car was rough as sandpaper too. It's also remarkable that the same engine is under the hood of the Aura but its a lot smoother.
  13. I thought it sounded familiar for a reason ...
  14. Hmmm ... but what about the wildcard in that statement? The Corvette Museum. What becomes of it? Without the Corvette plant just down the road, it becomes nothing more than a roadside oddity and would surely be shut down. And if you've been to the Bowling Green area, you'd know that if the Corvette plant just up and moved, it would make Bowling Green just another college town. The mall would go and plenty stores and restaurants would shut down because of a decreased number of commuters and travelers, eventually people would move away due to the lack of industry and shambling county economy. I currently live in a college town myself and I can tell you first hand there is nothing to do here ... except drugs. I think Bowling Green is a nice Western Kentucky city and it doesn't deserve that fate. Sure there's Toyota's plant in Georgetown and Ford's plant in Louisville, but they both have a role in supporting different parts of Kentucky's economy; with Ford's Louisville plant holding up the north, Toyota's Georgetown plant holding up the central part of the state (my area), and GM's 'Vette plant propping up the west. (Other than the coal and logging industry, nothing really gives the southern part of the state any support and, well, I won't go there.) Without the Corvette plant, western Kentucky wouldn't be in that great of shape, I know. The area was already dealt a tough blow when Fruit of the Loom and a few others shuttered plants in the Bowling Green area a few years back. You might not think so, but the BG plant really does hold a lot of significance to Kentucky. Perhaps Kappa should come to Bowling Green instead. And if I'm not mistaken I have heard of such an idea being thrown about months ago. It makes just about as much sense as the reverse situation you just mentioned and it does prevent an already poor state from becoming that much poorer. I'm also aware that this state's senator didn't support the Bailout loans, but you're going to have to overlook him. He's a pretty crooked politician that has pretty much bought out every election over the past decade plus. McConnell is a political machine in my opinion. I wasn't in support of him this past November and I know my vote most certainly reflected that. Set aside the Deliverance, hillbilly, and inbred jokes for a second and rethink (that was the slogan for GME's old US branch of operations after all) that statement and what it would imply. I know that, for whatever remainder of time I'm going to spend in this state before I move elsewhere, I don't want to see Kentucky's economy become further degraded.
  15. This sounds like something out of a prequel to the Terminator series.
  16. PCS, PCS, PCS ... tisk, tisk. You've incorrectly evaluated me here, sir. Sure, the cars Australia has built is one reason I would like to live there, but there's something about the Australian attitude that makes me evoke images of what I think the American attitude used to be once upon a time.
  17. I made a discovery about the Firebird today: it has the Y87 posi-traction differential (how do you find out, heh-heh :AH-HA_wink: ). But, if it was a Y87 car, it would have a dual-exit muffler coming off of the exhaust. My Firebird only has a single-exit system. Strange ... It's the opposite for me because I see more regular hardtops for sale on sites like eBay and Craigslist and in local car shows in my area. I'm not exactly sure, but I also think Oldsmobile built more hardtops versus fastback hardtops for the '70 - '72 era F-85, Cutlass, Cutlass S and Supreme. I actually even found junkyard not more than 10 miles away from me that has both a '70 and a '71 hardtop (the '71 is for sale for $300 bucks, but it's a real rust bucket; the '70 has front-end frame damage).
  18. While I do think Fox News is the biggest pusher of Republican propaganda and bull$h! in general, I can also read between the lines here. I don't know. For some reason, as Obama makes political decision after political decision, I seem to raise an eyebrow each and every time, although I don't totally disagree. It's going to be interesting to see just how his first 100 days come to a close. So far it's been hard to make a call. Aw, c'mon. Let all us po' members have a little fun too.
  19. What's that I hear? Australia calling my name? This country is in the throws of degradation, it's a constantly worsening mess that, day by day, seems irreversible. And my gut is telling me not to stick around for the next four years of bull$h! that is sure to come. America's glory days are over and it's my generation that is surely going to have to bend over and take it with a smile and suffer while the country crumbles around us. Ah $h! ... I should have voted for Nadar. Not like it would have mattered anyway, but whatever.
  20. Is the Saturn Sky to be a Chevrolet? From Vince Burlapp's Car Blog: Magic 8 balls says, "Ask again later."
  21. Thanks, GMTG74. My Cutlass has a hardtop bodystyle, but it's not a special model or anything. For the 1970 - 1972 Cutlasses, you could choose between the hardtop, fastback hardtop (the one you've most commonly seen, which I'd say is due to the popularity of the 442, which were built as fastback hardtops), the convertible, sedan, and wagon. Choice was just that good of a thing back then. It would be a good fight, but the Cutlass would end up walking all over the Fox Box.
  22. My lead foot is itching for a race. Now who else here owns a car that would be a worthy opponent for an A-Body such as mine? Hmmmm ...
  23. Oh now you've went and made me mad, Veeze. I have about fifty bucks less invested in my rallys versus the ones you linked up to. But they're in nowhere in as good of shape. I still have to go through the pain-in-the-ass process of sandblasting and painting mine.
  24. It would be a dream come true, a prayer answered. And probably in Holden's best interest if they did so.
