  1. FFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU U-
  2. Next summer's purchase will be a '77 to '78 Trans Am SE. I'm going to snap one of those up before the prices get too outrageous. Then, when the time comes to finally buy a new car, a Mustang could very well be what I'll buy. I've already denied GM that luxury. I've said all I need to say: a brand-new GM in my future will probably not happen. I won't bother fighting for them anymore, I'll just take my money and support a company who builds a product that I want, a company that gets it. Maybe I might pick up one or two other used GM cars after the T/A SE. It's unlikely, however.
  3. I guess we'll all get together and coalesce in an argument about how many inches we can jam our BVDs up our asses? Good god let it go.
  4. I've read the last few pages of this thread and ... wow. It's all went a step wayyyyy too far. I'm very embittered by the recent news, but I'm not literally chanting to the sky for blood.
  5. BTW: This thread = negative vibes. I don't like a single part of it.
  6. I would take offense to that, but my girlfriend totalled her tC shortly before she met me. She wants a Wrangler. Go figure.
  7. Looks like I won't be considering GM for a new car purchase when I decide the time will come. In fact, next summer's purchase might just be my last GM purchase entirely. My business is going to Ford.
  8. Check out the movie Seven. :AH-HA_wink:
  9. I've heard so much bull$h! about this particular piece of GM-related news, I'm turning green with nausea. When it comes to Pontiac, when it comes to the great Firebirds of yore, you either get it or you don't. Pontiac should appeal to the former and give a big "f@#k you" to the latter. That's what they did after the muscle car era died and that's what they should be doing now. ... But then again, why am I offering my opinion? It doesn't mean two $h!s in a public john now does it? And neither does anyone else's here. Not mine, not yours, we're all just static being broadcast over a dead signal. f@#k trying to hold out hope. I think of what might be and what should be and only become more frustrated. So go on GM and throw down the final straw that I undoubtedly know is going to break the camel's back.
  10. Ohhh-kayyyy ... I'm not in support of excessive gluttony, but don't go all John Doe on me and drown a 500 pound-man in his chicken soup.
  11. I weigh 165 and eat like a pig. Just thought I would throw that little piece of information in the face of fat American society.
  12. I'm sure the brand the Obama administration wants GM to drop is GMC. Think about it.
  13. I had an account but I've forgotten the password. I haven't logged into it in forever. The member ID photo is still of me and of an old ex-girlfriend. I'm debating on a new account.
  14. That's more like a new Trans Am that I would buy.
  15. I can't say I disagree with you on that notion. Both cars were also the most competitive out of their corporate contemporary counterparts. That would be pretty sweet to see, I won't lie. Make it a coupe and call it a Cutlass. :AH-HA_wink: In my opinion, Olds' best car was the '68 - '72 A-Body, something that I own an example of. Oldsmobiles of yesteryear had all of the premium feel of a Buick but with the muscle of a Pontiac. It's a perfect balance, it's why I adore my Cutlass.
  16. It should tell you that I found the Pontiac was the more desirable car despite the Chevrolet having more desirable features. There are elements of the Firebird that present slight advantages over the Camaro. Design-wise, the Firebird has a better flowing shape, for example.
  17. Wait ... 2006 to 2009 is 3 years isn't it? Well $h!. How time flies.
  18. That Toronado deserves to be saved and destroyed. Slap a new coat of paint on it and demo derby it?
  19. Wow, blast from the past. It's like I was a totally different person. It shows that I was seriously sex deprived two years ago. (Thread is now dead; fades back to page 98.)
  20. BTW: I love how the Motor Trend article has a photo of my car in it.
  21. Ur doin it wrong! Extreme should be spelled XTREME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! to highlight the added EXCITEMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  22. Although I didn't buy a new car, when it came time to rid myself of the Sonoma, I chose to buy a Pontiac Firebird with an automatic transmission over a Chevrolet Camaro with a manual transmission. I prefer manual transmissions, it's actually almost a required feature. And yet I chose the Firebird with what I consider to be the less desirable transmission. What does this tell you? Welcome to "You're Wrong," population one: yourself.
  23. A new Firebird would be a dream come true for me. I'll go against my better judgment and hold out some hope this time. Don't let me down this time GM. If my hopes are dashed next year, I'll be finished with you for good.
  24. My Firebird is amazing dude. Today I put a new set of tires on it ... supreme handling. Transmission is supreme for an auto. Did I mention it was a Firebird?
