  1. Sounds more like dystopia than utopia to me.
  2. Hmm ... I don't know. I can see both Buick and Pontiac traits in the Achieva's roofline. TED, 98, it was my pleasure. I have to admit that I have a new found respect for the Acheiva's design. Smith is right in that it is far less busier than it's other N-Body counterparts. The coupe is downright clean. There's a classic Cutlass quality to the front fascia.
  3. Have a great one today.
  4. You and me both. Hmmm ... a Caprice ...
  5. I'm really hesitant to make any sort of modification that would hurt the Monte's value and want to see what I can do with the 305, but I do know someone who has a 454 big block for sale ...
  6. I own one right now. Regarding hyperv6's comment about the Monte SS having a 350TPI vs. the carbureted 305 H.O., people make these swaps all the time. However, the 305 H.O. can be decent itself with a little extra tuning.
  7. Wait a minute. They seized exactly 1,234 pounds? 1,234? It could only get better if they seized it on 4-20.
  8. Two weeks (That's a song by the band Grizzly Bear, if you were wondering.)
  9. That's the only way to keep it.
  10. Oldsmobile Eighty-Eight/Ninety-Eight Cont. Cadillac, Buick, and many others are to come. Link to the site all of this material came from when it's finished (that might take a longgggg time).
  11. Oldsmobile Eighty-Eight/Ninety-Eight
  12. Oldsmobile Toronado Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera Holiday Coupe Oldsmobile Cutlass Calais Kelly American Challenge Car Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme
  13. There's going to be more where this came from, trust me on that. :AH-HA_wink: Oldsmobile Achieva Full story: link
  14. I'm taking the Fram back I was going to use on the Monte's upcoming oil change. I knew Fram filters were crap, but cardboard? Jesus, that's cheap. Since I can't find the AC Delco filter at parts stores around here, I'm going with a Bosch if they have one that will fit.
  15. Fantasy: A chance to buy Olds and Pontiac and the trademarks associated with them for next to nothing. Then use them to build a new car company. Reality: A chance to work at GM Design for a month.
  16. A.) Not everyone has the same sense of humor. B.) That was another part of the joke. Well me and TheCaptain obviously had fun with it while we could. Who are you calling a poser? We all know Satty is C&G's Comedy King around here. No one even bothers to closely observe what Satty does in his posts because I think anyone who has read his posts have reached the understanding that they couldn't even crack a mild joke with Satty's unique wit, let alone rip it off. So if you can't beat it, you try another approach. Of course, it can take time before you find the one that works (and who cares if it doesn't appeal to everyone?). Anyhow, the air in here is getting very thick, so I am going to bow out of this thread. Bob, allow me to apologize for my posts here and I hope someone can suggest an approach to you that can help you with your problem. Croc, I don't want you to take this post the wrong way and I hope you do not have a problem with me.
  17. You mean there's going to be 18 more threads like that last one? Since when did math like this become "deep and edgy?" Sure, I can understand where it might be different with a reoccurring number in your personal life. While it doesn't bear an effect on your life, it is something neat to reflect on. This is just a countdown on cocaine.
  18. I see that little phenomenon going on all the time. I never thought much of it.
  19. Ah that explains it ... well, not precisely. You have to give him a few days to set up his desk after all. :AH-HA_wink: (Anyone see what I did earlier? Muhahahaha. ... ... I hate making jokes that only I get. I feel lame.)
  20. Now to crash the party so I can finally quit trolling this thread. PCS's post: "Twenty steps to total power." My post: "One infinity. The horror begins in autumn. This is your trial, which tests your potency/power. Twenty-three steps to total power." The rest, well ... I don't know what the hell is going on in twenty days. If it's something significant, I'll look for it.
  21. "Gave Up" - NIN
  22. Una Infinitas. Abominatio Nascitur Autumno. Hic est tuum temptamen quod temptat tua potentia. Viginti tres gradus ad summam potestatem. EDIT: urdoinitwrong, harry man from DelaTex. EDIT2: a translation: Ugh [an] Infiniti. [What an] abomination of NASCAR [in] autumn. Hicks (as in "Rednecks") take Tums to kill the temptation of their potential temper. Twenty-three graduated, [a] summary [of a] potato. EDIT3: No, that's not what that really means. Yes, I do know what the hell that says in Latin. EDIT4: he'pme pwease, immatrollin, see? makes me baww.
  23. What about twenty now?
