  1. Now that's a f**ing door! That's sweet - I've seen many sedans do the lambo door conversion on the front, then it comes to the back and they're like, duuuuurrrrr, whatdoido? So, they leave it alone. Borrrring. This, on the other hand, is creative.
  2. It's quite an odd Cake song, banjo and accordion! I just like it because it's almost anti-Goth or anti-Emo. It's like, "S**t happens, but you're still you, in the end"
  3. I'm a little confused at the tone here. Are you making fun of the song, or did somebody seriously do something awful to you?
  4. Some lyrics that have been stuck in my head all day.
  5. For a few minutes just for the challenge of it, I fit 10 people in my '99 Lumina (non-APV, the sedan). Three across the front (proper) Four across the back (sqa-wish! haha!) One across the laps on the back (The person with the feet wasn't pleased) Two in the trunk. This was easier than I had expected. Oh man. Just thinking of that day still makes me laugh.
  6. When I heard that we were running out of oil in 40 years, honestly, part of me said, "GOOD!". That means we get to stop burning it and messing up the air. More oil is not necessarily a good thing.
  7. Imagine a league where innovation was rewarded (like F1) but with a more substantial body to the car, so that they could really "race" (like NASCAR). That I would watch. As it is, I have a slight interest in F1 and NASCAR, but don't watch either.
  8. Mitsu is the bottom rung? Aren't you forgetting Kia, Hyundai and Suzuki?
  9. hutong Also, while you're at that store, make sure to buy some of their 3 yuan 600 mL Tsingtao beers. That's about the size of two beer, for about 30 cents Canadian.
  10. Sure. Go to the hutong southwest of Tienanmen Square in Beijing and find the Far East hostel. Go to the convenience store next door, and find Fei Fei. She works there. Then, have fun. She's already pregnant, so you don't have to worry.
  11. I was going to write something about the Millenia getting crushed by the Sierra, but I wasn't going to put this much effort in. Nice story.
  12. That's basically the system I have, and I love it. Although I do love that Mac went Unix-based, so I can get my beloved Unix prompt, I still don't see any real reason to choose it over Windows and Linux, dual booted, as I have now.
  13. Advice for Montreal: Club Super Sexe! It's a strip club on St. Catherine (the main shopping and bar street). It's near The Bay, and it's on the south side of the street. Really hot women who can actually dance. There's a horizontal pole suspended from the ceiling, and watching some of them pull themselves up and hang upside down is interesting. "Les Trois Brasseurs". There are a couple of these, one on St. Catherine and one down in Old Montreal, on the road across from the river, near the Science Center. It's a microbrewery and bar all in one. They serve beer by the litre! Peel Pub. On Peel St, just south of St. Catherine, on the West side They have some of the cheapest food you'll find in the city, and I've never been disappointed by quality. The portions are generally pretty large too. Right across the street from Peel Pub is a shuttle bus which will take you over to the Casino for free. It only comes once an hour on the hour. Usually a good plan is to sit and eat or drink in Peel Pub while you wait for the right time for the bus.
  14. Our local NASCAR store had two washrooms. One labelled "Men" and one labelled "Women, and Jeff Gordon fans".
  15. ...but just imagine the look on the face of the Mustang/350Z/M5/Supra/Porsche owner's face when you smoke them with a Solstice... They expect it from the Corvette. This is a great sleeper.
  16. I agree. Nuclear is a great stopgap which will provide the increased production needed to bring cars onto the grid. Hopefully it is only a stopgap though, and renewable energy such as wind or solar can be slowly built over the next 30 or 40 years. They need to start building a lot more nuclear plants, right now!!
  17. I do this too. It worries me a little bit though - sometimes I tap the brakes when I do serious downshifting, just to tell the person behind me who may not understand manuals that I'm slowing down.
  18. Ah. That makes sense. I wondered why you included '69 in there. I thought it was only called Ram Air on the Pontiac though?
  19. Yeah, I think it's the '68-'69 Firebird Ram Air components. Dammit, saw this thread too late again...
  20. 738 ft-lb!!!!!! Man! Does anything beat that other than maybe the Veyron?
  21. Oh - and just to clarify. I'm only saying this because Osama is (probably?) still alive. If he was dead, I would totally agree with you. Don't give the gunman the finger. Kill him first, then give all his buddies the finger.
  22. Cowardice? Or intelligence? This is like being shot, and then proceeding to give the gunman the finger. It just doesn't seem very smart to me.
  23. Not to play devil's advocate, but doesn't building towers there sound like a bad idea to anyone else? Isn't that kind of an obvious terrorist target???
  24. Are you serious? Toronto is definately more lawless than the little town I grew up in (Brantford, Ontario). The smoking by-law is Ontario-wide, and FAR overdue, IMO. I love Toronto, now that I'm used to it. Communist state? Get over yourself.
