  1. What do you call the tC? Seems pretty mainstream to me. It's basically an RSX clone.
  2. Yeah - and 2000-2006 would be 7 races. Think about it.
  3. They never came to Canada! You knew just what to get me for my birthday, Toyota!
  4. If you were to plug a car into Nanticoke GS (The largest coal plant in Ontario) instead of running it from gasoline (even a SULEV), you would still end up with less pollution as a result. Coal has come a long way - Nanticoke puts out roughly the same amount of power it did in 1970, yet emits six times less pollutants. So - Since it seems like everybody agrees that coal plants are evil, and having an electric car powered by Nanticoke would STILL be cleaner than a SULEV, you can't tell me cars are clean. Sorry.
  5. It's so true. I really hate seeing people commute in Suburbans.
  6. Cars are getting smaller. Americans keep getting fatter.
  7. I'd like to see them offer a Cobalt wagon, that would be interesting.
  8. I drive down the Hamilton Escarpment fairly regularly at night, without many people around, on the 403. It's a fairly steep (for an expressway) 2km long downhill. Just out of curiosity, which of the following would use less fuel? Situation 1 - Start at 120 km/h at top - Push in clutch, let car idle to bottom where it would be at about 100 km/h - Accelerate back up to 120 km/h gently Situation 2 - Start at 120 km/h at top - Leave in 5th, take foot off gas, going about 85 km/h at bottom - Accelerate back up to 120 km/h gently I usually just leave my cruise on, because I don't want to slow down just to save a little fuel. On a side note, I found out that my Cobalt really doesn't like to run with the engine off - I coasted down this hill a couple of times when I first got it (shut off engine, restart at bottom with clutch). After I did this, both times, the fuel gauge showed Empty the rest of the trip. The next day, it reset to normal.
  9. I think Northstar got the point and Croc missed it. I'm saying - all up all the "A" cars, all the "B" cars, and which comes out with the most? It's not just automatic because of the Corolla. I still think C chenches it though, by reason of most of the cars Northie posted.
  10. A nice shape, ruined by a lot of bad details.
  11. I was thinking about this today. What starting letter of the model name has sold the most cars? I have a theory, but I'll wait to share it. I can't confirm the answer here, and I wonder if it even can be confirmed... e.g. Chevy Silverado would be an "S".
  12. Kids - don't make dad come down there with the whips, chains and lowe ewe.
  13. Ontario has laws where if you are caught drunk driving, you have to install a system like this in your own car. I don't see this being good for Nissan's sales. While it is a good idea in theory - I'm surprised it made it past the bean counters.
  14. Hmmm... how about this? Would you believe that's brand new? Wolfmother is a great new band that would be right at home in the 1970s.
  15. Cool. He're another strange one for everybody.
