  1. Those numbers don't seem right at all. Are you sure those include Canada? I've never seen Pontiac, Buick or GMC without the other two up here. Also, I see a LOT of Chev or P-B-G dealers that also carry Cadillac.
  2. I think of golf a lot like I think of bowling. They're great fun, but I don't expect to ever take either of them seriously. Bowling is a sport that's fun to do with people of roughly the same skill level, and it's relatively easy to do and doesn't take long. Golf is like that too, but you can only do it when you have a bit more time and money. I find it more rewarding as well though, so it's worth it.
  3. These are women we're dealing with. Still, this is nothing a few good square kicks in the box couldn't fix.
  4. I've driven from Ontario to Florida before, in a Suburban. If I was willing to do it in a gigantic truck that swayed every time the wind came, I would certainly do it in a Smart...
  5. Wow, as low as 24 MPG? That's MUCH worse than I get. The WORST I've seen my combined mileage at for any prolonged period of driving is 7.1 L/100km, which translates to 33 mpg. 24 MPG is about 10 L/100km. The only time I see numbers that high is sitting in traffic jams, going 20km/h, stop, 10 km/h, stop, etc. I've seen it at 5.7 L/100km (41 mpg) fairly frequently on highway-only. I reset it right at the top of the Hamilton Escarpment once and went down the 3-km hill at 1.1 L/100km (213 mpg)!!!
  6. Yep. I think being a whore is even worse as a gay guy (as a "taker"). There was a guy I worked with in a grocery warehouse before I got my software job - If he ever had to go to the bathroom, STAY OUT OF HIS WAY. He'd taken so many guys that his o-ring had very little holding power left. So when he had to take a dump, he had about 2 minutes worth of warning before crapping himself. Aren't cha glad I told that story, kids?
  7. Your odometer is still at 7900? I thought you had an '05? If so, are you like the guy with the Porsche from Ferris Beuller, it stays parked and you rub it with a diaper? Maybe I'm just used to commuting, and having friends that live far away. Me and my friends all put on lots of miles. I've had the Cobalt 14 months now, and I'm going to turn 52,000 km later today.
  8. I think what they're trying to say is - even losers like this get hit on when they have these cars. Imagine what YOU would do with those opportunities. Think about it - did you listen to after school specials, or laugh at them? This is a parody. I especially like the one with the Aveo5, where his friend comes out with 4 girls, and says, "Can we give them a ride?" and Johnny basically says there's no room for you, I'm only taking the chicks. Wierd commercials, for sure. I don't think they're as bad as you make them out to be, though.
  9. Admit it man, you have a crush on him right now and you just don't want to go to jail!
  10. I remember that game! There was also an F-1 style game for the Commodore...
  11. I remember my driving instructor telling me something similar about the 96-00 generation Civic I took the lessons in. What does it "learn", exactly?
  12. I could just picture you giving him a little pat on the head as you posted that. I'm going to go throw up my breakfast now, thanks. Some of my friends call me metro, it kind of bugs me, not because of the label, but because I don't think it fits at all. I think if anything, I care too little about my appearance - and hence am still single.
  13. Something with a whole hell of a lot more stabilizer fins that didn't weigh more than Aunt Jemima on an elephant, sure. ...but who really thought this would work and not catch wind and flip in the air like it did? Did they not take air resistance into account?
  14. Except for the dorky steering wheel. This is the first I've heard about all these other Mazda divisions. Anybody have any info?
  15. That would make sense. I never thought the X-Trail had first-world styling. I remember seeing them in Costa Rica when I was down there a few years ago (before we had the X-Trail here). They looked fine there, but amid the mostly well-designed cars we have in North America, they just don't look quite right.
  16. Haha! Never noticed that before, but there is something dog-like about that car.
  17. Olds - I thought the same thing. Then I realized he's talking laptops.
  18. That seems like a ripoff to me. At first I didn't realize you were talking about laptops and I thought this was a TOTAL ripoff - but it's not THAT bad. I would stay away from Celerons. I've not had good experiences. Plus, the Pentiums for laptops are really good now. They can slow down to save power when not needed. Plus, 256 Mb of memory is NOT AT ALL ENOUGH. Even 512 Mb is too little, but not as much of a joke. I would recommend AT LEAST 1 Gb to run modern Windows. A lot of people even bump that up to 2 Gb to avoid paging while you're opening programs.
  19. That is very similar to what my father bought, without the rims. Same colour, and also low mileage. As far as the "falling off the truck" argument - I saw a Cobalt being delivered to a Chevy dealership on the weekend. The rest of the truck was all filled with DCX products, with the Cobalt on the very back. When he took the Cobalt off, he first extended a hydraulic section on the back, then extended some metal sliders by hand. When he left, he put the metal sliders back in, but he didn't pull the hydraulic section back in. When leaving the dealership he scraped the ground and the Dodge Nitro on the top back jumped around horribly. I really thought it was going to fall off the truck. Dumbass...
  20. He has problems with straight guys commenting, but no problem with the straight guy who posted it? Why so hostile anyways, cd/bp?
  21. Pretty simple. Right click on the song in question in the library, and click "Convert selection to MP3".
  22. No - it's not. In fact, I now like the production front better. Something about that concept grille is awkward. If they could make the taillights more like the concept, and make those exhasts, that would be sweet.
