  1. Still like those rims. Those intakes are nice too, but a bit too much chrome for my taste.
  2. Back could have been better but I really like the front, even though it is derivative of GMT 800.
  3. Wish I could find it, but... I did a chop like this. The tall headlights bug me too, and where you cut them seems natural to me.
  4. I'm buying winter tires for the Cobalt this winter (Michelin X-Ice). I'm trying to decide what to do for rims. I was initially going to buy steel rims to mount the snow tires on so I could put them on and off myself. The salesman told me that since I had the OE rims on there, there was really no point in buying steel rims. Only people with expensive aftermarket rims really need them. I don't think he was trying to screw me, since he knew I was just buying the tires there and not going there to have them taken on/off. He also said that the tires would need to be balanced after installation and removal whether they were on steel rims or my original ones. I don't really understand that one - if I just switch the rims, why would the tires need balancing? So what does everybody think? What's the better idea: 1: Install and remove the tires from my factory rims every fall and spring. 2: Buy steel rims, and take them on and off myself every fall and spring. Price is obviously a concern in the decision, but if there are any other major factors to go with one of these choices over the other, please let me know.
  5. I tried Second Life. Seemed pretty lame to me, I stopped playing after about an hour.
  6. Wow, never expected this from any of the states yet. Surprised California isnt first as well.
  7. Aztec Challenge (does anyone else remember this crappy Commodore game?)
  8. So... now we can safely say you got hoes in different area codes? Sorry, couldn't resist.
  9. I know what this thread needs.
  10. I'm with you on this vibe... She gets pissed off and leaves because of sexual comments and comes back to post this?
  11. You don't even need airbags for this to be potentially bad. A guy I knew in high school was late one morning. When we asked him why he told us it took him a while to clean up all the glass, after he got in his Hyundai Pony and slammed the door. The driver's window shattered in his lap. He then had to drive it to school with no window, in February . That car was hilarious. He needed to repaint it, and decided it didn't need to be classy. Out came the silver and blue spray paint. Silver everywhere, two racing stripes of blue, and the wheels and any exposed under-body components (of which there were way too many) were also painted blue. Dare I say, that's about the coolest you can make one of those cars. edit: Research seems to show that the Pony was not sold in the US. Lucky buggers. Here is a picture of the offending Hyundai for those of you who didn't know what car I was talking about above. picturewiki Hey - at least it was RWD. I never knew that before.
  12. I hate to be such a nay-sayer here, but perhaps GM deserves a little backlash from the J-bodies.
  13. OK - So let Pontiac and Holden take care of each other, and let Opel and Saturn take care of each other. This leaves Chevy and Buick as the only wholly American divisions for them to "worry" about. Seems like a good plan to me. Just don't pair anybody up with Daewoo.
  14. I blame the Caliber for that hideous roofline.
  15. I was looking at the vehicle configurtion tool on GM Canada's web page, and I clicked on "Saved configured cars", which brought me to a login screen. On the top of the screen was a little splash image with the panoramic sunroof from the G6, and... some random guy doing a karate kick? Wha??
  16. HE - I think you might have posted it by accident there - Maple Pumpkin Pie. Maybe I'm just being a wierd Canuck here, but it's sooo good. Then again, I love the flavour of Caramel or Maple on just about anything.
  17. The rear and interior are surprisingly nice. Last time I never looked at those, I just looked at the front and laughed. I also have to comment - roll down windows?
  18. Hmmm.. the Persuit G5 I saw had the Cobalt steering wheel with a Pontiac logo. This is new to me - when did they change the steering wheel?
  19. Sure, it probably would teach them a lesson - but to me, the whole idea just smacks of "Cutting off your nose to spite your face"
  20. I'm not a truck fan, but that's awesome! Where did you get that drawing?
  21. Booyah - Don't say that without considering other consequences. It would be much harder to offer the levels of services that Canada offers without the tax base we currently have. They have a lot of population. Besides, that would split Canada in half. The Maritimes would be out there by themselves!
