  1. Can't watch it right now, but I have to say my favorite Adult Swim show is Harvey Birdman. A washed up superhero who is now a lawyer (Birdman) defends other Hanna-Barberra characters who are now getting in trouble with the law. Bannon sues Dr. Quest for custody of Johnny and Hadji. Fred Flintstone is a mob boss. Scooby and Shaggy get busted for possession. Plus, the boss's voice is Stephen Colbert, whose comendy I love.
  2. My grandfather has been buying nothing but vans as of late. He went from the '91 Trans Sport that he later gave to me as my first car to a '98 Caravan. The sad thing is, that '98 Caravan has less kms on it than my '05 Cobalt.
  3. Bah. It's been explained now. I'm just showing him how he may have looked. sci - I'm detecting some negativity from you lately. Have I pissed you off somehow?
  4. razoredge: Reading back through the thread in question, I really don't know what to think of you. You claim to be tolerant, and not a gay-basher, and even say you would defend them. Then you go on to say that by posting shirtless men, they're being "in-your-face", and they should stop. This reminds me of the attitudes of some of the most homophobic people I know, at least the ones who are too polite to be outright bigots. I cannot reconcile these two points of view so I do not know what to think of you... I can understand why the gay community here got pissed off, and I don't understand why you reacted the way you did. I'm not full out attacking you here, don't get me wrong. I have the feeling there's been some misunderstanding, because as it is, I just don't understand. This reaction doesn't go with your previous statement about being tolerant, nor does it fit with my previous (positive) impression of you. I'm left confused.
  5. Don't be so quick to judge. Personally I've never seen any true reason to get pissed off at anyone on this site, you included. Maybe what Satty said about not being emotionally connected because it's the internet holds some truth. So, I don't hold a grudge, and I certainly don't object to you returning. I'm just saying that maybe talking about hitting your girlfriend wasn't the best choice for a first return post. My friend was of sane mind when he threw his girlfriend across the room into a door. That deserved, in my mind, his complete disappearance from my life. Your situation is different, but it still doesn't sound good. Is the girl still with you?
  6. They're still rare, even up here. I've only ever seen one.
  7. You think you're going to get any sympathy around here for admitting that you beat a woman? I disowned one of my best friends for doing the same.
  8. Is this an attack on me? The respondents? I'd like to retaliate but I'm afraid this message isn't clear.
  9. here May have posted this before, but it still amuses me.... heh.
  10. action action pact = sloan album sloan = canadian band
  11. http://edition.cnn.com/2006/LAW/11/07/ferr...h.ap/index.html LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- A Swedish video game entrepreneur who wrecked a rare Ferrari by smashing it into a Malibu power pole at 162 mph was sentenced to three years in prison Tuesday after he pleaded no contest to embezzling two other fancy cars and illegally possessing a gun. Bo Stefan M. Eriksson, 44, entered the pleas four days after a jury deadlocked in his trial, closing a case that gained international notoriety after the spectacular Pacific Coast Highway crash. Eriksson entered the pleas to two felony charges of embezzlement with the special allegation that the fraud exceeded $500,000. He also pleaded no contest to being a felon in possession of a firearm -- a .357-magnum handgun found in a search of his Bel-Air mansion in March. He spent five years in a Swedish prison in the 1990s for assault, extortion and other crimes. "It was a fair resolution," prosecutor Tamara Hall said after the hearing. "There was a meeting of the minds. That's why there's a settlement," said Alec Rose, one of Eriksson's attorneys. Two other counts of grand theft auto were dismissed. Eriksson previously pleaded no contest to a drunk driving charge in connection with the February 21 crash that split in two a rare Ferrari Enzo valued at $1.5 million. Jim Parkman, Eriksson's lead attorney, said Eriksson was concerned about "the cost and the energy" of a second trial. The beefy, blond former video game firm executive could have faced more than 11 years in prison had he been convicted. Instead, he could be out of prison in a year because of time served and good behavior, Parkman said. Eriksson has been in jail since his April arrest. "He wanted to move on with his life. He feels like he could get out and be successful again," Parkman said in a telephone interview after the hearing. Prosecutors said Eriksson will face deportation after he completes his sentence and will not be allowed to return to the U.S. His mansion, valued at up to $5.2 million, was seized and will be sold to help pay any restitution and fines, prosecutors said. 12. Heh. I was wondering if people would notice the town of Nurburg or not...
  13. What is the grey road in this picture (most roads should appear white)? I don't expect this one to take long. google map edit: Please don't cheat and zoom in.
  14. Will and Grace was not targeted at young people, like Chappelle was. That's where true change can start, because young people are still forming their perceptions.
  15. Fair enough. I wish there was a gay version of Dave Chappelle - that is, a gay comedian who knew how to make jokes to make the differences between us seem silly. I think Chappelle did a lot for racial views by showing how silly a lot of the stereotypes are - and I believe a gay comic could do the same. Anybody have comments on that?
  16. One of my friends is always making (fairly innocent) sexual comments to the women he works with. He is a very good natured guy, and anyone who met him could understand how he could get away with this. To try to stop the comments, his boss bought a "sexual harassment panda" (no joke) and gave it out to whoever made a comment like that. The rest of the girls in the office took it and glued it to his desk. Everybody had a good laugh, and the boss left it at that.
  17. Sexuality DOES define a much bigger part of your life than the time it takes up though - just because it only takes "20 minutes" (*cough* lazy ass...) doesn't mean it's not more important than something that takes hours. I would much rather have a wonderful woman to love and be looking for a job right now than my current situation - good job and single.
  18. Next-generation iPod Shuffle: 1 Gb (~240 songs), 8 hours battery. 1.6x1.1x0.46 inches, 0.55 ounces. CAD$90 / US$80. This thing is crazy small. I saw the pictures when I ordered it, but I still can't believe it now that it's here. It's got a clip on the back to clip in into your clothes, etc... I clip it into my work ID badge and hardly notice it's there. One thing I can't believe - the docking station loads all the data and charges the battery through the headphone jack! Oh, and just to be a smartass I ordered it with a message written on the back: "White headphones make you cool."
  19. Remember though - they make a lot of "imports" in North America. Those would not be tariffed. So, it's not as if the Big 3 would be without competition, if the US were to do the same as the Chinese.
  20. I seem to have aquired a Croc-sheild named ocnblu....
