  1. Getting rid of SUVs other than Jeep? Sure. Getting rid of Dodge cars? Bad idea. Also, where would this leave the minivans?
  2. She needs to whack Kate Moss and get with Pete Doherty. They could be the new Kurt and Courtney. Which reminds me... When you want to call the front passenger seat, what do you call? Shotgun. When you want to call the back seat behind the passenger instead of the driver? Kurt Cobain. Behind the shotgun... :AH-HA_wink:
  3. It looks like recent Ford concepts, and that's not a compliment.
  4. The physics of Forza 2 are almost flawless. I will be very impressed if GT5 improves upon them - in fact I doubt it would even be a perceptible improvement. The graphics look exactly the same to me, down to the point of things that differ from reality look the same in both games. I just finished my car collection in Forza 2, at 305 vehicles. I realize that's likely less than GT5 will have, but it's certainly nothing to complain about. Oh I love my 305 cars. I wish I could make them a reality. *sigh* OK, maybe that's greedy. I'll just take the Ferarri F333 SP, McLaren F1 GT, and the Chrysler ME Four-Twelve.
  5. Hmmm.. OK, looks exactly like Forza 2, a year late, on the wrong system. I really hope this is the end of this crappy series.
  6. Wow. Way to take a pun and overanalize.Nothing kills fun like unnecessary explaination. Did you get punched in the face a lot as a kid?
  7. I heard that Indian farmers have a big problem with elephants on the fields. One response to this that I saw on TV was farmers who string up ropes at elephant head height smeared with a mixture of crude oil and tobacco. Apparently the elephants don't like that smell. Mmmmm gotta get me some crude oil and tobacco mix. Sounds good!
  8. Considering the readership of this website I don't think that will be difficult.
  9. This is one of the first articles of this length that I've read in full in a little while. Is that irony for you?
  10. Back in July I went for a walk down by the Toronto waterfront and there was a yacht club with all kinds of world flags flying, probably close to 100 of them. One of them was the Soviet flag. I wonder if that was to make a point or just nobody's maintained the flags since 1991?
  11. I dunno Nick, it's new to me, that's why I posted it.
  12. So... Today they: - Changed the oil - Did a fuel injector cleaning - Cleaned and machined the rear drums - Existing snow tires onto rims and then onto car - Alignment Didn't need new front pads, can't believe it. It's a purchase. Waaaay more highway driving than city - last time I checked the average speed it was 72 km/h, which of course includes a lot of Toronto traffic jams.
  13. I think some people on this exchange site were getting confused: I cannot believe how fast this is still changing.
  14. At least it's your son and not a daughter... Imagine being the girl's parent. You'd be out shopping for a new baseball bat right now.

  16. James - I have friends paying 1/4 to 1/3 of what I do, because they: 1. Didn't have an accident in the last 6 years 2. Are over 30 3. Don't live in Toronto I'm pretty sure you will also fit into all those categories, right? It's just my situation that means I get raped by the insurance companies.
  17. Ummm.... 7,000.00 AUD = 6,021.42 CAD That's only $300 more than the best rate I could find for a Cobalt this year... Canadian insurance sucks.
  18. SRT-8For those trying to hard to be STR8... :AH-HA_wink:
  19. I've got just shy of 90,000 km on the Cobalt now. It's time to take it in and get the winter tires on it. Aside from the oil (obviously), and the wiper blades, everything is factory. The brakes have not hit the screech strip yet. The tires even still have tread a few millimeters above the wear bars. So I'm wondering - should I just go ahead and replace my brake pads? Should I get any other brake service done at the same time? Should I look into replacing the shocks? Also, is a few millimeters of tread above the wear bar worth the time and money of saving the tires and putting them back on the rims next year, or should I just chuck them and buy new summer tires next spring?
