  1. Wow. Am I the only one here who thinks this is way overdone? Looks like something Mr Detroit Metal would chop, then everyone would be down his throat to take out this line and that because it's too busy.
  2. <rant> Massey Ferguson and Conrad Black can both suck my left nut. </rant>
  3. I don't know how you can drink Starbucks, or any of the European style coffees. Way too strong for my tastes. Plus I don't like parting with $5 per coffee. Give me better tasting $1.49 Tim Hortons anyday. Other donut shop coffee will suffice in a pinch (Country Style, Coffee Time).
  4. In Ontario - Hamilton. It has a reputation here as the 'armpit of Ontario' because of the steel industry and the pollution and blue-collar environment that brings. However, if you dig a little deeper there is a lot to see here. The escarpment cuts through the city and creates a U-shaped park through the city, with great views from the top of the cliff all the way along. There are good hiking and biking trails throughout, and something on the order of 20 waterfalls all the way around the city. Mind you most of those are small but there are definately a few nice ones, Webster's Falls comes to mind. If you have the time, stop and hike there. Waterfalls in Hamilton
  5. +1 And since I have no faith in Ford or Chrysler - I would never buy American again if this happened.
  6. I hear you. I've moved around Southern Ontario a lot in my life so far, but I can't imagine leaving it altogether. Too many people here that I would miss...
  7. From Nine Inch Nails' 'Viability Index', a fake future real estate site created to go along with the futuristic theme of their album 'Year Zero':
  8. ... or the Wave ... or the Firefly ... or the Tempest ... or the Acura EL It seems that they think Canadians don't mind rebadges as much.
  9. Her name is Alix Bromley. Search google and decide for yourself.
  10. Hey! It's THE BEER STORE! (Everyone in Ontario cheers) We have there here in Ontario where our alcohol is provincially controlled. Quebec, on the other hand, allows it to be sold in convenience stores. What's the policy in the states?
  11. Not a motivational poster, but I felt that it fit the category....
  12. Way there: American Airlines to Chicago, US Air to LV. Way back: United to San Fran, Air Canada to Toronto. Expedia booked this mishmash together. Trying to connect through O'Hare with an hour and a half gap between flights was a mistake - we missed the US Air flight and had to spent the night in Chicago. Vegas was good. It was my girlfriend's first time flying so I was a little worried since she seems to get sick easily - but it went well.
  13. Sitting in SFO, wondering why flights home from Las Vegas to Toronto connect through there.
  14. I found it, but only because I figured out the car and had to cheat (Google) from there... Never heard of them before. I won't post the answer here and ruin it.
  15. Watch the ad that comes up in the middle of the page. Georgian Pontiac
  16. An ex of mine had two Lebarons in the family - each parent had one. The details on the cars - trim, shape of the top, etc. was terrible. The cars looked like crap quite early on. However the basic mechanicals were amazing - very little service needed. Last I saw one of them it had over 350,000 km on it.
  17. Surprise, surprise, surprise. The dealer I bought my Cobalt from had a heavily discounted demo XLR that sat in the showroom for 18 months, last I had seen it. Not sure if that thing ever sold.
  18. Put the vehicle in the best brand for each market. Hell, make a Buick Ohm-ega too if it will make the Chinese happier.
