  1. That's my modded ZR1 in Forza, passing a Veyron. It was tough to do, had to outdrive him as he clearly still had me in terms of sheer car abilities.
  2. There was a theatre like this in the downtown of the city I grew up in. The downtown had crumbled around it and eventually it closed. Thankfully they did find a good use for it - the university campus that moved in put two lecture halls in there (one in each cinema).
  3. Especially since the non-hybrid Equinox can beat the Escape hybrid. That's just embarassing.
  4. They get those raw materials from us. Unfortunately I don't think they pay enough for raw materials - Canada should be richer than it is.
  5. Getting back to the original topic... It saddens me to see this. In what is now a field used to stand the house where my grandmother grew up. Buffalo
  6. Also, my favourite, Centralia, PA. That one's not the fault of de-industrialization or globalization though.
  7. Don't forget: - Niagara Falls, NY - Scranton, PA - Cairo, IL
  8. The Prius is not under the acceleration pedal recall, but they are investigating an acceleration software issue.
  9. I had a Richard Dix in my high school. French last name, should be said like "Deese", but of course you see "Dix" in English and say "Dicks", which when combined with his rather unfortunate shortformed first name made "Dick Dicks". At the time he was also dating a girl named Kaleena, I hope that if they are still together and ever marry or have married, that she didn't take his last name.
  10. Reminds me of a friend of a friend with an unfortunate Chinese name: Ma-Bing Wang. I'm not kidding.
  11. I took this picture from a replay of one of my races. Didn't mean to catch so much air.
  12. $7/night accomodations in Beijing = decent $6/night accomodations in Nanjing = beautiful $14/night accomodations in Hong Kong (Kowloon) = Total $h! Hole HK is a totally different world economically from the rest of China. I wish we had known that when booking a place to stay.
  13. Hard to justify the existence of the TT with those numbers.
  14. Malibu outselling Cobalt??? WTF? Man, the American and Canadian markets are so different. I bet the Cobalt outsells the Malibu 2 to 1 here.
  15. Thanks for the hockey gold. I guess we just have to remind you where Crosby came from. That gives us a final total of 14 golds, the most ever won by a single country in the winter Olympics, beating the tied records of the Soviets and Norwegians.
  16. Still snowing and windy here. Traffic was beyond ridiculous this morning. My 10 mile commute usually takes me 25 minutes, today it took 2 full hours.
  17. I think that man goes to my gym. I overheard him in the locker room yesterday describing how he was jumping curbs in his H2 for the fun of it during Tuesday's snowstorm, and a cop tried to pull him over. He jumped some more curbs to escape from the cop.
  18. So, if the auto industry were a stock market, who would currently be moving up and down? My picks: UP: Ford, Subaru, Suzuki, Kia/Hyundai, VW DOWN: Toyota, Chrysler, BMW (losing their vision), Honda/Acura (due to shovel face)
  19. However, I would like to state that the MKS is the only Lincoln I like. The others all have something that bothers me about the design - especially the Navigator, bleh.
  20. That historic aerials site is neat, too bad they don't cover Canada. You can see Hammtramck with people in it, as opposed to what it looks like now.
  21. So there are only 2 members who voted for any American brand at all that did not vote for Chevrolet. I guess that confirms GM's idea that they can appeal to everyone....
  22. To me, this is what the Cobalt SS should have been, and what a Cruze SS should be. Just my 2c.
  23. I've only played online. Never met anybody else under 60 who plays in real life.
