These pieces of spruce are pretty thin, i dont think notching them would be a good idea (never mind the fact that I dont have tools for that). I'm just going to build it like the picture and worry about it afterwards if it wobbles.

I know this is way off topic here, but I figured *some* car nuts should know how to build things out of wood. I went to Home Depot and bought 12 pieces of spruce, 8 feet long each. I'm going to build a shoe rack and a laundry hamper. I cut 5 boards in thirds, and cut a sixth in 10 9-inch sections. The thirds go side by side with a 9-inch section at each end to form shelves. So I've used 1/2 of the wood so far. I want to build the sides and back (if necessary) out of as little wood as possible, so that my hamper can be bigger. Will 5 shelves screwed in to the vertical sides have strength? Will this design want to lean one way or the other, wobbling? If I do need a back to stabilize the diagonal, how should I build it? This is yet another (more space efficient) method of ENERGY STORAGE. These cars are NOT making their own fuel, that is a PILE OF BS. Energy storage is great, and it means that we can run cars off the much cleaner-to-produce power taken from the typical hydro grid. However, we are not yet ready to do this. Transportation accounts for about 50% of our energy uses in North America - meaning if everyone plugged in their car, the grid would have to pump out 2x as much power. That's a lot of power plants to be built!

At my father's old office in Paris, Ontario, the back of the parking lot is angled up quite sharply. So if you were parked in one of the back spaces and you backed in, you would be facing down the hill at the rear wall of the building. This is what this elderly couple with a large car from the 70s did (not sure on model). The guy went to leave. He'd had his parking brake on, and forgot this. He put it in Drive, and when it didn't move, he took off the parking brake. He went to jam on the brakes which had not been on when he was disengaging the parking brake on a steep downhill (!) and instead stepped on... the GAS! He slammed through the rear brick wall of the office, right into the dentist's office at the back. The dentist ended up on the hood, and the chair (with a patient in it) stopped the car. Nobody was hurt, thankfully. What a dentist appointment though. Car comes through the wall and tries to take out the dentist. :lol: :lol:

Josh: agreed. Telus is the best provider in Canada. I am on Rogers right now (almost as good) because I also have cable internet and TV from them, meaning I don't pay tax on any of it since I have 3 services.

I don't know what EPS format is, but I know that bitmap graphics do not easily turn into vector graphics. Basically - bitmap graphics are just squares of colour, in a grid. Vector graphics are objects, layered on top of each other, much more like real artwork. To turn a bitmap into a vector drawing is a lot like turning a photograph into a painting - there is some interpretive work to be done, and the result's not going to look exactly the same.
