  1. Can somebody tell me why I clicked on this? What did I expect? I mean... it's almost as bad as clicking on a thread titled: Rosie O'Donnell and Roseanne lesbian photos I would be smart enough not to click on that, but not here apparently...
  2. *chokes*More than $76k/year? Are they working for the mob?
  3. I could see calling the GTI a Rabbit GTI, but renaming the whole line? Seems stupid to me... Especially when they had a great chance to rename it just months ago on introduction.
  4. OK... Where the hell did they get these numbers? I'm a software engineer, and I know many people in the industry. None of them make anywhere near $80k, even the ones near retirement. Average salary my a--.
  5. I looked at this picture and something looked oddly familiar. The greenhouse shape, the ridge along the bottom of the doors that goes into the wheel arches, the wheels.... Then, I realized: Why does GM insist on making a copy of every generation of the Sebring???
  6. Hmmm... Gas here now is cad$1.02/L cad$1 = usd$0.85 3.8 L = gallon usd$3.29/gal Not as bad as I thought Canadian prices were, comparatively...
  7. Was that in the same voice as... "want to touch the heinie"?
  8. I'm going to China for two weeks on the 22nd. I'll see Beijing, Nanjing and HK. I'm also moving next week. Yes, I am nuts. I know.
  9. First time shifting a manual (shifter only), 88 Grand Am, roughly 10 y/o. First time steering, 86 Sunbird, roughly 11 y/o. First time actually driving, 88 Safari, roughly 12 y/o on a dirt road in a campground with my dad in the passenger seat.
  10. Ummm... what the??? How dead was this bar you went to??? They introduced our $1 coin in 1989 and phased out the $1 bill immediately afterwards - meaning the bank will accept them but not give them out. So if you were given a Canadian $1 bill, the bar has had it in the till for roughly 15 years.
  11. OK... I understand the British heritage making countries RHD - but where did the original LHD thing start? ...and why is Japan like Britain???
  12. I agree Croc. It's just that at a certain point a dollar is worth so little that making the paper money doesn't make sense anymore. I wish Canada had stopped at the loonie ($1 coin) and left the $2 bill alone. Our smallest bill in Canada is $5.
  13. With all the costs associated with replacing paper money, Canada realized that it didn't make sense, back in the early 90's, to print $1 bills anymore. I bet the US will soon do the same. Don't you guys already have a $1 coin anyways? I remember there being a big stink that it didn't have Washington on it.
  14. Thanks Fly. How do I miss things like this? I feel like I read most things here, yet half the time I'm left wondering what is going on when someone like Fly can sum it up so nicely. Maybe my memory is bad? Who knows...
  15. ahhh... me likey... more: Courtney Day (above black truck pic)
  16. What is this cartoon talking about?
  17. Looking around their site, at least they did a decent job of making GTO ground effects... http://www.rksport.com/product/p_09011000/view_detail
  18. It looks like the G6 GXP gave its ugly buck tooth grille to the Solstice... My poor eyeballs...
  19. OUCH!!! Am I the only one who finds this HORRIBLY embarrasing?
  20. I must say, I do find the overall management of this website by all involved (not just Fly) to be a little paranoid - conclusions are jumped to rather easily and hastily. I still don't understand why Josh caught so much flack for a misunderstanding. Honestly. It's the internet. Some misunderstandings and misinformation are kind of expected. Everybody just needs to chill!!
  21. I can't believe you guys all support this ugly crap.... To me, having rubber floor mats is like having plastic on your couch. Sure, it keeps it clean longer, but it looks like total crap.
  22. Man, this is FOG bait if I've ever read it.
  23. ewww.... No rubber mats for me. I'll go aftermarket fabric if I have to. I'm going to be pissed if they're not under warranty though.
  24. Not a big deal... but I still can't believe it happened already. I've worn a hole in my floor mat with my foot. Already. 25,000 km. It's about the size and shape of a small Swiss Army knife, and it's right where my right heel rests while I'm driving. The grey carpet is completely worn away, and I can see the white fabric underneath. Is this kind of thing covered under warranty?
