    BMW resale

That's actually pretty high for that car...you could find a decent condition S52 ///M-roadster for around that or maybe a little more.I'm selling mine soon actually. The original sticker for the car was 60k, and I'll probably get around 15k for it. Keep in mind it is a 99 with 140k on it (granted, only 70k on the engine, a few thousand on the clutch, and maybe around 10k on all the suspension components which I fully upgraded, among all the other upgrades I did to it, not like I'd account for upgrades in my selling price...it just doesn't work that way). We're actually getting my sister a "new" car today. Her IS300 was totaled when some kid rear ended her on the freeway in stopped traffic. We are picking her up probably an '02 330ci...we're looking at the mid to high teens for those in decent condition with around 50-65k on the odo.
  2. While it is a shame they didn't do more with the Murcielago interior, and while I still don't care for the Audi steering wheel, I love what they did with the interior, the exterior is just awesome, and this is possibly one of my favorite cars ever...I just love the looks that much. Do all these changes, like the slight power increase justify the huge price tag? Maybe...granted, all of them are called for, so I guess for Lambo, and the buyers, it was completely justified.
  3. That crummy plastic wood (especially in that color) does not go well with the silver painted plastic and black interior. It would be much better if the "wood" was silver as well... Also, I sure do hope that door is ajar.
  4. Most awesomely bad ass vehicle ever.

    Pictures!

  6. If you're into driving you gotta head up my way...Santa Monica Mountains (best canyon roads in the world) and of course the beautiful PCH.
  7. What happened to Aston? Last I checked they were doing real well and provided great competition for the C6R...hell, they took Lemans (24 hours) this year.

    Bye bye PS2's

see...that's the thing...I've just been driving normally on them. No excessive burnouts or anything.

    Bye bye PS2's

E39 BMW's come with a stock camber of -2.2*. These show wear from a toned down camber of -1.97* actually (which I had done when I got a 4-point alignment after I did my suspension late last year). A set of PS2's for my car runs roughly $1400-$1500. :AH-HA_wink:

  11. To this day I still don't know what happened with my timing chains...My timing chain guides shattered, the car jumped timing, and the engine grenaded itself...I wouldn't be surprised if I turned out to be the only one who has had it happen to them. Weirdest thing ever.
  12. I agree with 68 to the extent that it is different and adds variety...but it seems like a color that is trying to pull off being like a Nogaro or Laguna Seca Blue, and it isn't pulling it off so well...
  13. It's no LSB. :AH-HA_wink:

    Whore.
  15. Why does it have the "old" rims on the vert? Or are those rims still available? (personally, I like them much better)
  16. Who decided it was a good idea to rip off Peugeot?
  17. Kind of off topic, but the 318 (specifically the e36 ti) was crap. It was the bastard child of BMW being little more than an e30 318 with e36 sheet metal. Regardless of how "well" it sold, it was still crap and in comparison to the their respective times, the 1 series is a much better car.
  18. AUD is weaker than USD. $1.00 AUD is equivalent to about $0.80 USD. I love these cars, but I'm a bit disappointed the exteriors are all relatively the same (other than the base model)...The only noticeable difference (other than wheels) are the projectors on the SS-V.
  19. :rotflmao: That just sounds really funny coming from you.
  20. The old M45 was a badass car. I'd rank it up there next to the B-body SS and Merc Marauder.
  21. Man...that first shot really accentuates the overhangs, and all the shots in general show how deserving this car is of larger rims and a sport package that gives a bit of a drop...Those wheel wells/fenders are huge. The interior is ok, but I think there are way too many seams/cutlines specifically in the center console region (though, they may not look as noticeable in person), and those door panels leave a lot to be desired.
  22. OMGF TEH SAAME!!!!!!!
  23. I'm glad they changed the rear end. I've always really liked this car, but thought the taillights were its weakest point.
  24. Hasn't the Mercedes E-class been acclaimed as the safest car you can buy? I thought that was in fairly recent news anyway. Granted, it isn't a "pillarless hardtop." Regardless, I haven't watched the video yet, but it really is inexcusable that it did so poorly. I've seen/read about many accidents other forum members have gotten into in their BMW's. Many of these accidents ended with the car getting totaled in a very bad way. The car looked unidentifiable from the outside and was totally demolished, but the cabin stayed intact and protected the driver. I saw an incident with a car just like mine. It was a 2001 e39 525 I believe. I can't remember how the accident went down, but basically every side of the car was demolished (I believe he took some big hits and the car also rolled). It was an accident you shouldn't see someone walk away from, but miraculously, the driver survived with minor scratches and bruising. He posted pictures of the car, and we were in awe. The car was a crumpled heap of metal, but inside that crumpled heap was a nearly fully intact cabin. It really was amazing and quite the testament to the build of the car. Same goes for the many other accidents I've read about regarding older 3-series and such. This is just disappointing though. Edit: Here's a similar situation... http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showt...ghlight=totaled
