 It is spreading! My buddy and some others I know were behind that site. He set up accounts that end in @srsbsns.com as well. I can probably still get a hold of one if I really wanted to. f@#kin' Ownster and Tehdriven forums...

Only reason I'd consider going gay is because women are such a pain in the ass to live/deal with day in and day out. It seems gay guys have a much easier time when it comes to getting action as well...so that's a plus... I'm sure every man has had a thought about being with another man...regardless if it was a good or bad thought. If they claim otherwise, they are full of $h!. Personally, I've thought about myself in that situation, and I just don't see it happening. Not even on an emotional level. I love and care about my buddies, but that love is on a different level then, say, the love I have for my family, or the love I would have for a woman. When I am around/with a woman, different feelings and emotions involuntarily fill through me unlike any I would experience around a guy friend...even a guy friend who I am very close with. When I get close to my buddies, I develop more family related emotions towards them rather than "lover/significant other/attraction" type emotions.

BMW may sell engines and transmissions to GM and Fiat
Nick replied to Intrepidation's topic in General Motors
Well, you've got me doing research now because my mom's 05 4.4 has the 6-speed. I found some on ebay that claimed they had the 5-speed (could've been a typo)...I know the 6-cylinders came with the 5-speed, but in the 2004 MCE the V8's got the 6-speed. I can't imagine the 5-speed was standard and 6 was an option...could be a mid model year change I suppose... -
BMW may sell engines and transmissions to GM and Fiat
Nick replied to Intrepidation's topic in General Motors
Pretty sure if you had the 4.4 you had the 6-speed auto as well. BMW did utilize GM's 5-speed auto for quite some time. Quite prominent in the e39's...also known for quite a bit of problems...Gear slippage issues, not engaging properly, and of course, complete failure. I'd attribute most of that to BMW's "lifetime fluid" bull$h! though. A lot of guys have the transmission on the original fluid well into the hundred thousands and have a perfect tranny, some have problems and wonder why, some people replace the fluid and everything works fine, some replace the fluid and still experience some issues...I've found those transmissions can be hit or miss... Luckily my getrag 6-speed has given me little problems...not as perfect as it could be, but then, it isn't that great of a tranny anyway...and it's modular, so repairing it is impossible. Filled it up with some redline fluid a few thousand ago, installed some upgraded tranny mounts and enforcers, and threw in an upgraded $h! kit and selector rod. It functions ok all in all. BMW trannys have never been all that great in my opinion... Their engines on the other hand...best mass produced 6 cylinders ever made. Their 8's are ok...but then, they haven't been in the 8 game that long. Personally, I feel the M60/M62 was the best series of V8's from BMW, and oddly enough, they were basically BMW's first attempt at an 8 more or less. It might seem like I am biased being that I have a 540 with an M62, but the feel of the engine and the way it delivers power is much like that of a OHV V8 in a way. It even made more torque than hp (stock, my engine runs around 282hp and 324ft/lb)... Their newer V8's are...ok...Sure, they make more power and are more efficient with all their valvetronic shenanigans and whatnot, but when I drive my mom's X5 (with the N62B44 as compared to my M62B44tu) it just doesn't feel the same...Sure, they are different vehicles with different transmissions, but you just don't really feel all the power in the X5 (even though there is more)...you don't hear it either which is annoying...too much sound tuning... Favorite V8 is still the S62 e39 M5 engine. I'd take it over the S85 based V8 any day (or even the S85 for that matter...I truly do not like that engine....) -
Oh man...I wish... You don't know how badly I've been trying to locate that picture. If I was able to find it I'd still totally be rocking it as my sig.

Hey, I'm not questioning the credibility of his statement. In fact, I usually care little about those backhanded comments often placed in GM related reviews, but this one just stuck out to me like a blemish in an otherwise great review of the car...just didn't seem needed regardless of how well I understand how the writer intended it. It doesn't matter too much though. I'm jsut interested to see more reviews and tests of these cars, and just to see them driving on the road. Hell, I'd like to test drive one...It is like a modern day version of my car (albeit significantly heavier....but more powerful too.)

Not like I am surprised...

Depends on many factors dealing with the surroundings, how fast the vehicle is moving, the direction it is moving respective to you, how loud it is...you may not hear it until it is too late if it is traveling at a high speed straight at you. In fact, that would be the worst vantage point in terms of hearing something. In terms of hybrids being too quiet, still seems like a load of bs to me. There's a prius that drives up my street every day and it is no quieter than any other car that I hear driving around the neighborhood. Sounds like a normal car. In fact, I'd say most of the noise I hear from cars around the neighborhood is associated with road/tire noise. Unless there is some tuned exhaust on the car, road/tire noise seems to be more prominent and overwhelming over any engine noise. Only time you really hear an engine in a neighborhood is if someone needs to give it more gas to get up a hill or something like that. The most noticeable car on my street is actually my sister's G35c and its notorious exhaust note.

Too late... http://www.vroombox.com/vroombox/ Either way, it is stupid...When considering the Doppler effect and how sound travels you won't really hear an oncoming car until it drives past you...or hits you...Same can be said about bikers who have the "loud pipes save lives" mentality.

Haha...That's awesome.

Just as a side note...to those who were referring to my post about Porsche's use of 6-cylinders, it is a flat 6, not a V-6. Other than the obvious that it is a damn good engine, nobody questions it because it is a Porsche. Porsche has always been known for performance. They've been a benchmark for decades. It is a prestigious name, but nothing that has really been associated with true luxury, like, for example, a Mercedes-Benz. When thinking of luxury, you think of the best. The best quality, best features, best design, everything is top of the line. That should include the engine. It's all excess. If you were spending big bucks on a nice luxury car you'd much rather it have the world's best V8 over the world's best 6 cylinder or wolrd's best 4-banger, just as you would much rather it have the world's best V12 or V16 over the world's best V8.

The only 6 cylinder that seems to be acceptable in that type of car around here is a Porsche, and that's only because people don't really know any better, or care to know for that matter because it is a "Porsche." You tell some Porsche owner their car has a flat six, and it is very possible they may not know what they hell you are talking about. Porsche has used that engine formula for years and it is quite possibly one of the most advanced 6 cylinder engines created.

What's all that white stuff?

Happy b-day dude!

Take care man.

Very cool. On a side note, whenever I think of spinners I think of these. A lot of people, around my age anyway, just don't understand that they had spinners back in the day.

What a boring interior.

That game sucked. Brady blew pass after pass. They had it in the bag, then they failed at sacking Manning on the Giant's 4th down, leading to Manning's amazing escape of the entire Pat lineup so he could go for a ridiculous pass that happened to land in Tyree's hands way down the field. The game was trash all up until the last 5 minutes.

lol...salt...

The VehiCross, while quirky, is definitely a sweet vehicle, even by today's standards. The few I see on the road always catch my eye. Otherwise, I already forgot Isuzu existed...

That's not hard to imagine...the vette's interior design blows...
