    OH My God

Not necessarily...Granted, the typo in our name has yet to be fixed either...I guess the mods figure C&Q doesn't have quite the same ring to it...
  3. I honestly have no clue at all...I can't find any info on it. I just did a search to see if Pontiac has used Tomahawk before because it sounded familiar, then I recalled the viper bike, then I saw the pictures of the concept. I noticed a thread on GMI regarding speculation of the concept, and that was about it...no other information to be found... http://www.gminsidenews.com/forums/f20/pon...tomahawk-60095/
  4. How about Pontiac Tomahawk? Only issue I could see is the clash with the old Tomahawk concept. I think it would be a really cool, and fitting name for it. It has a lot of meaning behind it, as well as heritage, as a tomahawk is not only a weapon, but a tool as well (other than the obvious of it being related to Indians, and, well...the whole Pontiac and "arrowhead" thing... .)
  5. There is no problem...either way she is getting a decent car...why not have it be a car she actually wants?
  6. Well, considering it was first offered to the market in 2004, and considering it was heavily influenced by the CS1 concept from back in 2002, it wouldn't surprise me to find that it was in design from back in 99 or 2000...if not earlier...most likely around the same time Bangle started showing prominence...
  7. Bingo. I can see gas stations implementing charge-up facilities next to, or in substitution of some of their fuel pumps. We might even see electric-only charge stations. But I really don't think we will see consolidation of many gas stations...Not in this lifetime.
  8. Gasoline will not be going away for a very long time...besides all the commercial uses for gasoline, not to mention the jobs it supplies and the portion of the economy stimulated and in some cases dictated by gasoline costs, a sudden phasing out of gasoline would be highly unlikely. In fact, I doubt any of us will find a gas station to be a "rare sight" in any of our lifetimes...Unless maybe they destroyed every imaginable vehicle ever. Planes, trains, cars, trucks, semis, buses, boats, motorcycles, jet skis, lawn mowers, sea doos, dirt bikes, ATVs, etc...all destroyed and replaced with an alternative source...Yeah...I can see that happening...
  9. Meh...I don't like Ventura. Not only is it the name of the county my city is in (Ventura County is the northern/coastal county next to LA County...and I just never cared for the city of Ventura, or the majority of the city's located in it the county...though I think the bad rap it has with me is due to Oxnard which is a horrible name for a town...Ventura county after you go down the grade is all agriculture anyway...it gets nicer when you get more northern, closer to Santa Barbara (like in Caprenteria) otherwise...nothing special. It also makes me think of Ace Ventura...which I wouldn't say is a great thing to be associated with...
  10. Didn't Mythbusters try something like this and it failed miserably?
  11. Off topic: Look on the previous page...the last 2 posts...users: BigPontiac and smallchevy...
  12. This reminds me of a guy I know who had a nicely tricked out Subaru Forester (...I know, right?) Decided to take the badges off and paint them...while he had them off he decided to give the car a new name... Among some of the choices were: FUBAR FARTBUS TOFUBUS TROUSERBUS FASTBUS BARFER TRABUS (the guy's name is Travis) ARFBUS FEARBUS The winner...
  13. Sounds like she is set on getting a BMW. Regardless of how I feel for their recent designs (inside and out), they are still great cars (brand new and CPO). Your wife would be very happy with one, and after living with it for a little while, I'd imagine you would as well. Individuals are always quick to put them down in regards to their value, hype, or perception, but once you live with one day in and day out you come to realize why they get the accolades they do. You'll find out why BMW owners tend to be among the most brand-loyal customers. A vehicle shouldn't be compared by how the specs look on paper. Hell, I'd say a good impression of a vehicle can't even be had with just a short test drive...Unfortunately, shoppers don't get much choice in that regard... I've been looking to trade in my 540...Specifically for something along the lines of a LS2 GTO (or now I would even consider the G8, G8 truck, or even the new Camaro.) While I can't comment on some of the latter, the GTO I have driven on multiple occasions. I love this car as it is so similar to my car, yet it has the superior LS2 engine (same can be said for the G8, which from what I understand is also very comparable to the E39, with driving dynamics and performance similar to the M5.) But no matter how close I come to picking up a GTO, I find myself coming back to the 540. It has come to the point where I know my next car will be an e39 M5. For me, it is perfect inside and out...only thing that could make it even better (and in my opinion the best 4-door ever) would be if it had an LSx engine (S62 is still a great engine...but no LS). With how much I have driven other cars (like the GTO), there is just something about my car... outside of the options, features, designs, specs, etc...There is just something that I feel when driving my car that other cars just can't replicate. I'd say if you wanted to compromise a bit, look into a CPO 545 or 550...I've said before I don't like their looks, but looks are subjective...merely a matter of opinion. The looks can't detract from the fact that they are still great vehicles.
  14. CPO E46? (edit: not for me...my next car...well...who knows...most likely an e39 M5, and most likely it will come sooner than I think...but maybe not. Talk about shooting myself in the foot...)
  15. I'm actually really excited for this all of a sudden.
  16. Woah...I stand corrected...I never noticed that recessed lighting on it before. That is awesome.
  17. The lighting running along the underside of the trim? The CTS has that?
  18. I meant interior...fixed the original post. I don't see anything in the interior besides what I stated that wouldn't be carried over.
  19. Note the pop-up nav screen in that side view shot. I imagine the interior will carry over exactly as is from the concept, minus the blue ambient lighting and some of the gauge cluster details...
  20. How is the H2 even remotely a "true Hummer" (outside of the way it looks)? The H3 is more Hummer than the H2, and it is based off an Isuzu. The H1 is the only "true" Hummer... It is unfortunate they never followed through with an updated civillian model.
  21. As it is right now, the H2 doesn't truly support the Hummer namesake one bit, and the only premium thing about it is its price tag. If it were to be redone on an architecture made to have the ability to tackle off-road duties, as well as be equipped with components which allow and aid for extended off-road capability, then and only then could it live up to its Hummer name. Otherwise, it is just a disappointment. The H2 should be (or at least should have been) positioned to have the Range Rover directly in its sights. The Range Rover is a true premium vehicle. A beautiful vehicle inside and out; truly deserving of the price tag it holds. Not only that, but it is arguably one of the best off-road capable vehicles available to consumers. Granted, the majority of these vehicles will never touch the smallest patch of gravel. The point is they are capable of it. They live up to their namesake and no excuses or exceptions are made when creating them. It's a shame what has happened to Hummer. The H3, while much more "Hummer" than the H2, is still not enough. I love Hummer and would hate to see it die, but barring some major turnaround (hopefully Hummer's upcoming products will be worthy of their name,) I'd say it might be time to put Hummer out of its misery.
  22. pssh...whatever... My bologna has a first name.
  23. I have only read the first post so excuse me if it has been covered... SIIHP

    SoCal Meet

Disappointed I couldn't make it...Granted, I probably wouldn't have driven down there anyway.
  25. Oh, and on the topic of 2G1C...Meh... Pales in comparison to SWAP.avi, which I am desensitized to as well. BME Pain Olympics is another story...that $h!'s brutal...
