  1. I looked online and Forza seems to only be for Xbox. I don't know, maybe I'll have to look into Pro Street some more.
  2. I always used to get margherita, quattro formaggi, or patate pizza when I was in Italy. Even their frozen pizzas can give some of our pizza chains a run for the money. I like my pizza simple too. Fresh mozarella cheese, tomato sauce, some sort of topping (beef, sausage, or pepperoni) and either thick or thin crust. That's it.
  3. I really want Gran Turismo 4, but they never release the GT series for the PC so scratch that. I was looking around for some PC racing game that have some semblence of realism like the GT series, and came across GTR Evolution and Need for Speed Pro Street. GTR looks like a decent game, but I'm more interested in muscle and production car racing and GTR is basically about high-end exotics and racers. Need for Speed Pro Street seems to have a great range of cars, but it seems to suffer in the realism department. I was watching a video on YouTube of a drag race, and people are hitting quarter miles in 5 seconds with old GTOs and 240SX's. I've only played Need for Speed Underground, which was more of an arcade style game...and Pro Street looks to be the same way with unrealistic dynamics and acceleration. Am I right in my assessment, and are there any PC games out there that are halfway realistic and have a decent mix of cars to race?
  4. Happy birthday!
  5. I've pretty much always had women cut my hair except for a short period of time when I was in 6th & 7th grade where I went to a barber and a brief period my freshmen year in college where the guy gave a one-style-fits-all type of haircut (that looked retarded). One of my co-workers sisters cuts my hair now, and she does a really great job. She only charges $8, but I usually end up paying her $14 or so because she does a better job than anyone I've ever been to.
  6. Really? I can remember prices in the mid $.80 cent range pretty frequently around the time I was learning to drive, which would have been about 1998. The lowest I've ever seen personally was 78 cents a gallon.
  7. My parents bought me many matchbox cars when I was a kid...in fact, I had a whole bucket of them. One of my favorites in the bucket (unknown by me at the time) was a '67 mint green Mustang convertible with white interior. My dad also bought me a little C4 Corvette remote control car. I grew up with my dad having two classic Corvettes in the garage. I also had a Power Wheels Jeep and Big Wheels, and I loved to burn out the plastic tires on my big wheels. I'd probably go through one every year because the plastic would crack and then rocks would get in, and before long the tires was split in half. But then I kinda forgot about cars as I became an adolescent, and it wasn't until I was 15 or so that I got a PC game called Midtown Madness that resparked my interest. I drove the '99 Mustang most of the time, but they also had a '99 Eldorado, '67 Mustang, VW New Beetle, and some others. Then I would download user made cars and one of the first was an '84 Monte Carlo SS, which I thought was the coolest looking thing in the world. From then on, I just became interested in different makes and models of cars and began to read up on the history of them.
  8. The more I think about this, the more excited I am about it. This is the first time in a while that Detroit has put a human face on the auto industry. The idea of having a huge parade of Detroit's best driving through small towns and big cities is really refreshing for an industry that many perceive to be stodgy and out-of-touch. I really hope the press give them a fair shot...this could be the event that finally turns perception around.
  9. I am very proud of the Big Three that they are going through with this. Let's hope it opens some eyes!
  10. Jesus...they'll give it to the banks without batting an eye, but they practically make the Detroit 3 come crawling on their hands and knees begging. I'm thinking about doing as DF did and writing Dodd and others...this is getting ridiculous.
  11. That made me angry watching that...I actually blurted out "what a load of bullsh*t" when Arianna Huffington started talking about Detroit spending billions to convince us to drive gas guzzling SUVs.

  13. The GS is overrated. I've been in one and it's nothing special. Give me a Cadillac STS any day. I don't really mind the IS, and the LS has grown on me, but pretty much everything else from the Toyota lineup is a snooze-fest or downright hideous. The Tundra looks so ugly on the road...it reminds me of a slug.
  14. This is an interesting quiz that covers a broad scope of American civics history. The link below shows that as a whole, our elected officals score lower than ordinary citizens in this test. I think that speaks volumes for where this country is at today. http://www.americancivicliteracy.org/2008/...al_finding.html The quiz can be taken at the link below. I had 27/33, which is 82%. The average score for ordinary citizens is 49%. Elected officials average around 44%. http://www.americancivicliteracy.org/resources/quiz.aspx
  15. This is the guy...what a mug
  16. Aura and Astra sales have been pretty dismal compared to what everyone was expecting.
  17. That was my first thought when I saw that, too.
  18. Listen to the whole album right now...17 years in the making and finally here http://www.myspace.com/gunsnroses Album release Nov. 23 exclusively at Best Buy stores
  19. Note: No, this does not mean that we should stop investigating alternative energy and sustainable design, but it's about time these guys were exposed for the frauds that they are. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/opinion/m.....;/16/do1610.xml
  20. Not as bad as the Nissan Cube.
  21. I don't know about anyone else, but the profile of the Fusion Sport gives me a Corolla S vibe. I almost wish it didn't have the side skirts.
  22. Horrendous. It looks like something I would put in my fridge. Nissan gets two cookies for the gorgeous 370Z design, but three slaps on the wrist for this piece of crap.
  23. I really like this, especially the classic shape. Nissan has had some less than stellar designs lately, but this looks pretty good.
  24. 2010 MKZ website: http://www.lincoln.com/2010mkz/default.asp...#NavigationView I think the lighting in some of these photos isn't the greatest, but seeing the MKZ on the website in motion and with different lighting really makes it look pretty good, IMO. I remember how underwhelmed I was when the Zephyr debuted (compared to the concept) and thinking how garrish the huge taillights looked. But finally seeing it in person, it totally changed my perspective and suddenly the big taillights didn't look so bad. I can't wait until someone can get some real-world pictures, because I think this car will be more stunning in person than it is on a 2D screen.
  25. Check out Ford's 2010 Fusion website...very well done. http://www.fordvehicles.com/2010fusion/popup/
