  2. My bad, I typed whitewalls but was thinking wire wheels.
  3. Now all it needs are some whitewalls and it will be 1983 again.
  4. It's good to see a post from you again Ninety Eight! The Olds section has been dead without you! Come back whenever you're ready. B)
  5. Plymouth GTX...classic Mopar
  6. Dodge Diplomat Loved (or hated in some cases) by cops everywhere
  7. I was walking to class the other day and a guy in a silver '79 or '80 Trans Am mashed the gas pedal and purposely fishtailed around the corner since it had been raining. It was pretty cool. '06 Fusion on the road '06 Milan at the dealership Extremely rusty '72 Olds Ninety Eight '87 Grand National...I think it's the same one I keep seeing '06 Impala SS, black...looks better in person '79-'81 Mercury Capri Lots of Cobalts and G6s '06 Uplander fleet vehicle (Xerox) '79 Cutlass Supreme that had a blower on it Lots of third gen Camaros and Trans Ams
  8. Here's a Lincoln Mark VI...probably my least favorite of the Marks. They were made from 1980-1983 after the Mark V was downsized. It lost a lot of the character that the earlier Marks had. Mark V (1978-1979) Mark IV (1972-1977) - one of my favorites '76 Cartier Edition
  9. Definately red meat, but I like chicken too. I can't stand pork though (except for bacon...mmm). There is no way in hell I could ever be vegetarian or vegan.
  10. Personally, I really like Marks, especially VIIs and VIIIs. The pictures that Varience posted don't really do the car justice. If you get it in darker colors with the chrome trim, I think it's a pretty stunning vehicle. And even better are the '84-'92 Mark VIIs.
  11. Who's the one in the middle? She's hot.
  12. Or what if you told them that the Cold War would end without a shot being fired?
  13. That's actually not my car...just a picture I yanked off Google and did some work with in Photoshop. Kinda misleading the way I wrote the bottom phrase but oh well. I'd like to think it's mine though! B)
  14. I'm going to go out on a limb and say Expedition Max (aka "Everest"). EDIT: Nevermind, I retract my answer...I just looked at the spy pic of the Max's interior and the vent is different. EDIT again: I'm going to go with the Meta One...I think it's a Mercury because there is chrome around the vent but it doesn't quite seem up to par for Lincoln.
  15. So that's why your PR department keeps mentioning every three months about how you're going to overtake General Motors in X amount of time? :bs:
  16. Cars.com Interesting...it says that the new Avalon has "average" reliability, as does the RL and Odyssey. Nissan's not doing so hot either...the Titan, Armada, QX56, and Quest rank among the 48 least-reliable vehicles sold. Yeah, maybe for some of recently laid-to-rest models like the Cavalier and Windstar before Detroit began actively pursuing higher quality. Who says that still holds true today? Why is CR always so quick to jump on the domestics without even giving them a chance to prove themselves?
  17. I just checked Queensryche's website...the new album is called Operation: Mindcrime II and should be in stores January 2006. I hope it's as good as the first Mindcrime. I'm currently blasting "Follow Me" off Edge of Thorns...great song...I love when it really starts kicking into gear about 3 1/2 minutes into the song.
  18. What is the new Queensryche CD that is coming out? I thought I remember reading that it is supposed to be a sequel to Operation: Mindcrime. I haven't really listened to Queensryche's music from the mid 90s until today, but I've heard a few songs like "Bridge" and "Someone Else" that were really well done. I heard that Tribe was pretty bad though, but I haven't actually listened to it so I'll reserve judgement until I hear it. Operation: Mindcrime is an amazing album though. Some people complained because the songs all flow together instead of being in radio-friendly format, but that's what makes the album special. For those that have never heard this amazing conceptual album, it is about a man who is brainwashed by an evangical preacher of the group known as 'The Order' bent on overthrowing the US government. "Dr. X" (the preacher) uses drugs to get the man to assassinate political leaders and even the guy's girlfriend. After realizing what he has done, the man is committed to an insane asylum where he spends the rest of his days sedated and in agony. I'd consider this album as well done as "The Wall" by Pink Floyd. Empire is another good one...Hand on Heart is my favorite song on there. Actually, any Queensryche album from the self-titled debut through Empire is good. After that, it's kind of hit-and-miss though. Another band I just thought of is Sanctuary, an obscure speed metal band from the late 80s that released only two albums before breaking up. Warrel Dane, the vocalist, has a range beyond that of Rob Halford. The songs "Termination Force" and "The Third War" really show it off.
  19. I think the Prius and 2006 Civic are the AMC Pacers of our generation...ugly as sin.

    I saw...

I've never really seen any famous people besides rockstars at concerts. I was about 150 feet away from the whole Metallica crew last August and I saw Stephen Pearcy and Bobby Blotzer of Ratt, Don Dokken, Erik Turner and Jerry Dixon of Warrant, Jeff Keith of Tesla and other 80s stars at a summer bash a couple years ago. Other than that, I've never really met any celebrities or anything.
  21. I have a new one: "My Humps" by the Black Eyed Peas. It's about as high in quality on the lyrical content as "Let's Get Retarded."
  22. This was my favorite image of the bunch. It looks like something out of a low budget late 70s / early 80s sci-fi film.
  23. Post any strange artwork you may have seen here. I found this one today at another forum...somebody made the entire city of San Francisco out of Jell-O and then put lights under it! It's actually pretty cool.
  24. I'm not on there because I didn't join until Oct. 03.
