First Drive: 2007 Saturn Vue Green Line Hybrid
rueben44 replied to Variance's topic in Heritage Marques
The Vue does offer AWD but not with the Hybrid powerplant because the battery is placed in the back. -
Yea everyone does this in every market that is just the way it is done. The ads I see say it has a base price of 25K and the V8 of 29K or under 30,000. When I saw it I said damn I did not know it was so cheap. Really I thought the V8 was around 35K.
-
I like the exterior just like it is they just need to give it a DTS level interior along with new rims and it will be solid. They already fixed its first problem and that is the pricing. I will also say it again add the Vue's hybrid system to it to increase fuel economy and it will fly off the lot. Imagine a Luxury SUV getting gas mileage in the 20's for under 40K.

Well a Five door would be my next car if they can get it here by next January! Even let us order it by next Jan and I will get one. If not VW will be on my radar also. Oh and yes a Quad Coupe version would be even better. That is a hot design and what makes me like the Ion so much.

I looked at those pics again and I noticed that the exhaust is unfinished. I really think Saturn is going to do a number with their exhaust tips. Like the sky and the Opel GT have those silver tubes...well remember that the Aura sedan spy pics did not have the rear bumper or exhaust finished also? I am really hope full about this. Also that thing looks really good after looking at it more. Many Opel styling ques are in the front and the rear.

I like it! It sits really nice on the suspension with little wheel space and it looks very classy from what we can see. I really think by years end Saturn will be the most talked about brand in the US. Also though I love the Enclave I am glad GM is doing better sharing of platforms and making the products look totally different. Inside I know it will look very similar though.

Chicago Auto Show Saturn Debut
rueben44 replied to CreativeVision's topic in Chicago Auto Show (CAS)
Went to the link on the Saturn site and I saw this: http://www.saturnfans.com/Cars/Future/prod...auradebut.shtml It says that it will be in NY not Chicago. They had the concept in Houston also but it was just the same one from last year. -
07 Escalade looked great in Super Bowl post game..
rueben44 replied to Robert Hall's topic in Cadillac
I liked them both I just wanted them to show the inside more because that was the real let down with the last one. -
I say don't bring it but if they did it really makes sense. Lexus sales so many cars because they have the FWD ES...that is why they are sales leader! Also as said before Audi has FWD, and well as Acura. Really it would not be a bad choice to start out selling at 27K to 35 Full loaded. Then the CTS could start at 32K up and not have to offer any incentives to move when GM needs cash. I would buy it because to be honest it looks better than my CTS. Oh and it is a Saab rebadge not a Chevy!

Exactly! The fact is GM could own about 40% of the market if they did the right thing and focus each brand. There are not to many brands that is the silliest thing I ever heard. Most people latch on to it because they read it so much. GM could have a focused: Luxury Brand ala BMW Benz - Cadillac Luxury Brand ala Lexus - Buick Near Luxury Brand ala VW/Audi - Saturn Near luxury brand ala Acura/American - Pontiac Economy Cars ala Honda/Toyota - Chevy Now when it comes to trucks well all they have to do is focus money on Chevy and let Gmc be a Fleet brand that sells dumbed down versions of different makes so that resales could be salvaged. They could also remove features and components that are expensive to make them as cheap as possible.

LOL! In Houston near the Museum District. Believe me it is a nice area but a developer bought the corner buildings and is holding them until they start to build. If you could see a 360 you would see large homes just built in the back ground.

This sweet little baby was cruzing down the street and I could not believe it when I saw it. Today weather was in the high 70's or low 80's and she had the top UP! Looks to sweet on the road so much so that I feel sorry for that lady because I know she gets harrassed.
-
That car is unreal in it's beauty! WOW!
-
Oh my that is sweet and aggressive without going over board.

I will never understand some people but I do agree with one poster here. When the trend say you should like it them most nay sayers will. I love it because it is actually refined now.
-
Gee that does not sound good.......

Are you for real? I guess that is why the army still uses Jeeps right and not Hummers? Have you ever been off road in a Hummer? The jeep is good but really no comp for those beast! Sorry not to start a flame war but the Jeep is not better just because you hate people who buy Hummers. Now the H2 may not be the most comfortable but ride in it then a Jeep and you will be glad to get back in it. All Jeeps have hard suspensions that will rock you to death if you just come out of a drive way slightly tilted. Also bumps come straight though and tire noise is killer. I guess it is just differences of opinions though.

I love it and if GM wants to be noticed by import buyers again they better start building stuff like this in the US.

I know I am late but I have to disagree here. I use to always wish that some one would make a 69 Camaro with all of the modern techonolgy and handling etc. but make it look pretty much like a 69. That way I could have the best of both worlds...old and new and a warranty. So I like the idea what I don't like is making a weak knock off like the mustang. Most love it and I think it is cool but I think if you are going to do it then just go all the way.

Congrats! Pics?

I thought GM said that they made some mistakes in the designing of the Zeta platform so they redid it as the Zeta light. I also thought that Zeta borrowed from Sigma platform but was done in a way to make it cheaper. Does it matter anyway it will take GM 3 years at best to get it out to us even if they rush because of how slow they move. Nice news but I can not do the same thing I did with the Soltice. Getting happy about it and waiting years for it to hit the market.

I sat in one of these cars and the door did not seem hard to close( I'm 5'6"). And it is very comfortable. Fit and finish shocked me because it was Audi level and so were the materials in the cabin. I don’t know what car the other posters drove but that is their opinion. It is on the same chassis as the old car so why the door and center console have seemed to have some what 2 feet additional gap I don’t know. Also it has pretty much the same power train as the old car which had almost no torque steer. Guess they step back with that to ha! Funny most reviews think the 303hp Impala has almost none but the Caddy does so some think. Though I will say it is impossible to turn the wheel of a FWD car and power it hard and not make the wheel slip and pull. Hello FWD!!! Now if you are going straight and you loose wheel grip and it does not pull right or left then that is controlled and is not bad. Oh and Lexus is the number on luxury car company in sales and they give you mush that is what most buyer want controlled mush. They also sell quite a few FWD models that is why they have the sales title and if you cut the ES's wheel and power it hard guess what happens.
-
I'm soory that car is freaking hot and the grill is so cool. Now that is what a Pontiac should look like. No guts no glory that is why the imports step over GM right now.
-
Yea I keep saying that they are every where here in Houston and can't understand why some on the boards say they have only seen one. A dealer by me had 0 on the lot when I stopped by and told me as they come in they sell just that fast.
-
I say sell it in China and Asia in some of their small FWD SUV's. It has good gas mileage and power and could be a hit over there.
