  1. And this is why we teach our kids to pick up their feet when they are walking and to watch where they are going. Hopefully, both ladies are alright, though.
  2. So, now is it that everyone wants to merge with GM??? And what the heck are "Comprehensive Countermeasures?" I am military so it sounds kind of explosive to me.
  3. I've seen the same problem at times. In fact, the home page is currently too wide for my screen on any of the computers I use. Right now, it seems it has to do with the Holden pics on the screen. In the forums when I see the scroll bar, I always find someone who has a long signature picture. I have no plans on changing my settings for my computer, most of the other websites I work with have no problems and maintaining my current values allows me to set up my clubs website and my own personal one to fit most monitors and easily review to see if everything works correctly.
  4. Fbodfather didn't mention and extra clear coat on the tint paint. He said that the regular paint has color, then clear. The cars that have the tint color have color, tint, then clear.
  5. I'm starting to think that Toyota wants to be number 1 at everything. Most cars, most trucks, most recalls....
  6. Wow, that's a huge drop. Any American company showing that much weakness is pretty much top of the hour news. I wonder if it will continue and what effect it will wind up having, long term.
  7. If GM wants any of these Holdens here as a Pontiac, Buick, whatever, I think it would make more sense to build it here in the US. More production capability.
  8. THe Camaro and Firebord used the 3.4L V6 until 1996. The 3.8L V6 was offered as an option starting in mid year 1995 (model year) and became the base engine starting in 1996. By the time this concept (the Intimidator Concept) was shown, most if not all, of the support for the F-bodies had been pulled. Senior management at the time, was ready to kill of these cars and it was only through hard work and a lot of convincing that the Camaro and Firebird were able to get any updates at all and keep going until 2002. The 80's had a lot of strange concept cars, including a Corvette with 2 V6 engines, on in back and one in front. Much of the leadership of the time was convinced that the V8 was dead and would never return.
  9. Shouldn't that line of the movie poster read.... "Get ready for the LAST ride of your life."
  10. Whew, I just got done posting pictures from the 2006 All Camaro & Chevy Show on the PNWCC photo gallery. You can check them out at PNWCC Photo Gallery This year's show pics are under the club events and then 2006 events. I also added a bunch of pictures from various events throughout the year's and a couple of our member's cars that I just got pictures of. One event that I added was this year's NAIAS. We had members go to that and tour the GM Heritage Museum while waiting for the New Camaro to unveil. Anyway, check it all out and feedback is always appreciated. Enjoy!

    Paranormal

I use that quote to remind myself of just how little we understand our world, let alone the universe. I believe in the possibility of the supernatural. I don't have any evidence or personal proof one way or the other but I know that such things are possible. There is too much that has happened to people, too many weird stories for everything to be dismissed. As for other intelligent life in the universe, it is far too large for us to be alone. I am not sure they would be visiting Earth. One reason is the distances involved. Of course, at times, I am not so sure there is intelligent life on THIS planet.

    HOT!

Wow, that's hot, almost like Qatar or Saudi hot... I was down in Vegas at the beinning of June and it was running around 110-120 every day. Even the locals were complaining about it being so hot that early in June. What made it worse was trying to fix a plane that we couldn't run the auxiliary power unit to give it some air conditioning. While we were trying to get an external air cart to work, I was in the flight deck where it hit 132. After I got done with that bird, I felt sick for the rest of the day. Good luck with the heat guys, keep hydrated!

  14. The last generation of Mustang was not my favorite, either but I don't think it was really overrated by most people. I've never been one for the harsher angles those Mustangs had, prefering the styiling that started in 94. But, hey at least it wasn't the 74 Cobra II, now that was an overrated Mustang, even being named "Car of the Year."
  15. I pray that Toyota never tries this. I couldn't see a merger of them and GM. It would be a dark day for American muscle.
  16. Not sure where you are coming from with dissing the F series trucks or the Mustang. Both have a long and venerable history and both pretty much deliver a pretty nice product year after year. Hey, I'm a hard core GM guy but I'll give props where it is due. I do have to agree that pretty much anything Toymoron puts out is overrated. Nothing in their current lineup does anything for me. Now, if they had still had something like the 90s MR2s (especially the turbo car) I would feel different, and the last generation of MR2 spyders should have been aborted.
  17. :rotflmao: I wasn't meaning the Olds 455 Rocket, I was thinking more of a Titan IV or one of the shuttles SRBs.

  19. thanks evok for the answer. But that means that Toyota has the system in place to install seats with the LATCH system in place if they so desired, right?

  21. OK, my last comment may have been a bit too rude. Anyway, I was told by one of the salemen at a dealership very close to my home that next month 0 for 72 will be back on. Not sure how accurate that is but this guy seems to know his stuff. He's one of the few salesmen I know who understands the cars and trucks he sells and seems really well informed on upcoming products.
  22. I can censor myself pretty well, thank you very much and it looks like most of the other people here know how to disagree with intelligence and without resorting to swearing. I say leave things as they are.

    Pictures!

OK, be ready to be scared... Here are a couple of me. At our 2004 All Camaro show volunteer dinner Out in the desert. I'm in front on the right (sitting on the arm of the couch.) These are the defenders of the free world. Be afraid everyone.
  24. If they sell enough cars they will strap Buickman to a rocket for the next satellite launch.
  25. Not sure why the Yaris is on anybodies list but whatever (just my opinion). This list looks pretty much like what a lot of people (whatever their orientation is) are looknig at. I've seen, heard, and talked to a lot of their airmen and NCOs at work and many of these cars come up. It is nice to see 3 fresh GM products up their and the Sky at the top. Its also very nice to not have to wade through a bunch of fighting on this thread.
