I'm not sure what you have against the later Camaros and why you insist on continuing calling them mullet cruisers. I've had 4 3rd gens and 2 4th gens and 0 mullets. Sure people with mullets owned them but I've seen the same with other affordable muscle. There have been some low points, (the Iron Duke in a Camaro springs to mind) but all 4 generations have produced some very nice examples. Anyway, I am glad the F-Bodies never went FWD. It would have been a huge letdown and destroyed the Camaro and Firebird heritage. Look at the baggage the name Nova was saddled with after the 80s.
-
And things continue to look up. Hopefully, GM continues to bring stronger and better products to market and keeps this going!
-
Thank God that decision was made. It kept The F-Bodies from having an equivalent of the Mustang II.

Looks like the Cobalt is doing an excellent job in Grand Am. I love performance driving no matter what wheels are pushing the power. My former Y2K Grand Prix GTP was a very fun car and performed very well. There is plenty of room for FWD, RWD, AWD, 4WD, whatever in the performance auto enthusiast world. Give credit where it is due and enjoy it all. I know the Seattle Club Grand Prix is full of enthusiasts and so is the Pacific Northwest Camaro Club. Hmm, maybe its because we respect each other's cars and find COMMON GROUND that we get along so well.

Z- That Vette engine bay will look so nice with the 427 back in it.

Here's a late Happy B-Day. Many more too come (hopefully on time).

Loved going up their as a kid. I lived about 30 miles south of the Canada-US border and was up there so many times I could never keep track. The places I enjoy living won't ever show up on a list like this though. I prefer very small towns and lots of countryside. Hmmm, that explains why I live where I do.

I love the 67-72 trucks, with 67 being my favorite since it is the only one without the sidemarker lights. Looks cleaner to me. I am also a huge fan of the late 50s Apaches. Tammy prefers the early 60s pickups. You can see who won the 'which classic truck shall we buy argument' Oh, I voted 68-72, even though it should read 67-72, as was already noted.
-
One last post... Tammy's 87 IROC in original form. With the Holley Stealth Ram Intake Working on the rebuild. Its now a 355 and should be finished being assembled by the end of August. Hmmm, time and money, I don't have enough of either.

OK, now for the 67 pickup... The current inline 6 The engine to be rebuilt for the truck - a 67 327

Some nice engines in there. Let's see if mine will load up. The Z/Hawk - 95 Z/28 71 Camaro Z/28 71 Buick Skylark Convertible - The original Buick 350

Very nice, Balthazar. I like. But, if you keep the size growing at this rate you'll not only need a CDL you'll need a commercial pilots license as well for the 747. Or you could just follow Flys idea for you're future. I can see that now. What rush hour congestion? Oh, you mean that stuff stuck in my tracks?

Congrats z, that's a great starting point and you will have one heck of a Vette when you're done.

I heard this article talked about on the radio this morning. I just got done emailing them with a relatively objective answer to it. I await a reply. Seriously, though, I find it amusing that a magazine that caters to wealthy people would have an article like this. These are not the cars their target audience would be considering so what's the point except to belittle people who might have or dirve these. Its also a disservice to someone who maintains a fleet, seeing a vehicle that would definately serve their purpose on this list.

Thanks Captain, I have just about weaned my kids off of that annoying show and was hoping to never see that creature again. The Yaris does look more depressed though...

I was just stating when I noticed the scrolling on the home page. I am not sure your problem is exactly what I ahve noticed both at work and at home. I can't post the screen resolution settings at work since we don't have access to that (just in case someone tries to change things and messes it up) but I can check out things on my laptops and my desktop at home tomorrow. All of the computers I use to use IE. I've noticed scrolling in the forums when someone has a very long image (or group of images) in their signature. I am not sure if this has anything to do with your problem rkmdogs. While writing this the screen fits with no side scrolling but if there is a signature with the images as I described, I'll have scrolling in the thread itself. Again, I cannot be sure this is what you are experiencing but it is what I have noticed. OK checked another computer at worked and it works fine. The screen setting is 1152 X 864 (this one let me see the settings).

I only post the pictures that I get from the club members when it comes to their personal cars. There is one of a 78 at the bottom of the first page of the members cars and I know we've had them at a lot of shows. The couple who shipped me all of those pictures of the trip to Detroit this last January own those two 4 gens in Harley's post. I was in Qatar at that time, lol. I'm never sure why but sometimes its hard to get 2nd gen Camaros at shows. We've had a few smaller shows where only one or two second gen cars showed up. Third gens aren't always well represented. 1st and 4th gens? Lots of them. Anyway, watch out for upcoming pictures of Hot August Nights this year. If I can get an internet connection, I will be posting pics while I am down there.

Considering the circular arguments going on and the fact that it was turning from a debate into an argument, I am not surprised it got locked. I've recommended this site to a lot of my friends and coworkers as a place to intelligently discuss the automotive industry. With the attacks and confrontational attitude that a member showed in that thread it gets hard to convince people that intelligent discussion DOES go on here. We can have our fun and games but reading constant bickering gets old quick.

I somehow almost need to see mountains and trees after growing up in Western Washington. I went to Air Force Basic in Texas, my original tech school near Champagne, Illinois, and other technical schools in Witchita Falls, Texas. Flat, boring, and nowhere I wanted to be. I guess its all what you grow up with. I know people who love it in those areas but its just not for me.

Sorry, had a blonde moment there. I didn't realize that a seller could limit his Best Offer like this. I have always worked in auctions that allowed a new best offer if a previous one was rejected. I haven't run against the limited best offer but I did look up the rules on EBay's help page. You can check them out Best Offer Help So if the guy is only accepting one Best Offer per bidder for this auction that's all you can submit. He may have many other auctions and doesn't want people submitting 20 offers per auction, taking all of his time. Of course, if he has the same item in another auction (common for many businesses), nothing is stopping you from submitting another Best Offer on another one of his auctions. Good luck.
-
By EBay's rules, you can make another offer if your forst offer is declined. No big deal there. This seller may say only one offer per person but that would be silly.

We don't have any of those here, OK, maybe one or tow, or three... Anyway, welcome, you'll enjoy it here. And if you aren't careful you'll learn a lot.
