  1. Fantastic news for Jeep, and Chrysler. Now, if they can remember to return Jeep to what is was meant to be. Get rid of that Compass and build Jeeps!
  2. There were 2 different polls. The one without Toy was the "America's Most Admired Companies" poll. The other poll included foreign corporations. This is indeed good news. Not only are people waking up to the improvements and strengths of GM, they seem to be realizing just how imprtant our auto industry is.
  3. My eyes, my eyes. Great, now after I get off from work I am going to HAVE to have a couple of beers to kill the brain cells that hold that image. Thanks. LOL
  4. More power!!!!!! You know you wanna. (Aren't we all bad?)
  5. I have to agree. I'm pretty tired of people who insist on driving way under the speed limit. Actually, around here it is illegal to hold up more than 5 vehicles. I've seen cops pull over people for that. What drives me really nuts a the 'left lane vigilantes'. You know, those drivers who go under the speed limit in the left lanes. They seem to think that they have a duty to keep you under the speed limit. Personally, if someone is coming up fast behind me, I'll move to the right and let them get by. For one, its common courtesy. For another, if they are really speeding, it attracts the cops to the guy doing over 90.
  6. I voted for 'very rare'. First of all, it is now illegal to use a cell phone while driving on base unless you are using a hands free device. So that cuts down on the usage right there. Also, when I am driving, that is my primary task. There is enough going on to watch out for without extra distractions (and way too many stupid people on the road to watch out for).
  7. Nice look Cobalt there. I'm really digging that yellow as well.
  8. That Stang also had a Procharger (according to the info right at the beginning) so add the costs of the mods to the Mustang before comparing prices. The C6 still has its warranty as well, too bad the one on the Mustang is voided. But, I will agree that not all Mustang owners are idiots. This one just didn't know what he was really taking on.
  9. Good find and good plan to move things forward with your El Camino.
  10. Thanks everyone. I still don't know why so few Vettes had this color. It stands out nicely and shines so well. BTW, yeah, I love it that Tammy is also a car fanatic. Shes the one who found our 72 Skylark convert and let's me get away with a lot when it comes to the cars. After 13+ years of marriage, things just keep getting better between us.
  11. Very nice. I love the looks of the 900s. That's one sweet truck you have there.
  12. Love the power and really enjoy the interior but I can't warm up to that exterior. For one thing, it needs the other 2 taillights back and I prefer the original greenhouse.
  13. The governement gets more moeny to fix roads, prepare for disasters, decrease the deficit, etc (the list goes on) The tax rate can also decrease since more money os coming in. People within my local economy have jobs, buy products and services, which in turn create more jobs. Promoting our own national economy is only common sense. As is promoting the economies of nations who recipricate and promote our economy by buying our products in like amount or value. Anything outside that is slowing hanging ourselves.
  14. Remember 'con' is the opposite as 'pro' and you know what that makes congress. We have far too many other domestic issues to worry about in addition to Iraq, Afghanistan, and everything else that is going on globally. Besides, just capping the maximum HP ratings won't do a dang thing. The cars running at that level are a tiny portion of the market. What are they going to do, put a limit on each vehicle style? They should be promoting advancements in the technologies that will increase fuel economy, wthout sacrificing safety, instead of discussing limiting innovation and performance. We are on the edge of seeing where things will go. Besides, just dumping power doesn't automatically mean an increase in fuel economy. We can have both.
  15. Yeah, to bring up anything bad about GM and the rest of the American Auto industry. Those of us here know very well what GM has done wrong in the past. We also know that many of those issues are getting fixed. Its going to take time but at least they are moving in the right direction.
  16. Even if we don't see the Volt right away, you can be sure that some of the technologies will be incorporate into other vehicles. Still, I wouldn't be surprised if GM have a section working with a timeline to make the battery available. Don't forget, there is already one (though massively expensive) car out there running on Lithium Ion batteries.
  17. The Vette guy finally decided to shut down the Stang, it look like.
  18. hop
  19. Dang, she found me.
  20. Congrats and keep us updated on how much you like it. And pics soon!
  21. You gotta admit, there would be at least 700K Toyota without any engine sludging problems. This lightens the car and makes it more efficient. Our new propulsion system is your mind. If your car won't move it must because you are mentallydefective. New Toyota press release
  22. Tammy's already approved the new Z06 Rims when we have some spare cash. As for the color, I looked it up in my Corvette Black Book and they only did 851 Vettes in the Nassau Blue Metallic in 2000.
  23. Congrats, my friend. Good luck in keeping with your plan, I never seem to be able to reisist buying more toys. Of course, having a wife and 2 kids keeps plenty of money going out of my hands as well.
  24. Hey, if the stars don't work for you it is cool. Now as for the IROC wheels, you looking at the late 80s style or also thinking about the 90-92 Z/28 ones as well?
  25. I saw that and said, I'm not touching that one, but I can't resist. breasts
