  1. GM planning on giving those 7 of us a lollipop? j/k - Let the mileage in our GM continue in happiness. ...and let the ignorant bliss keep the 'yota owners the hell away from us.
  2. I've seen more taste in the artisitic expression of a child's full diaper than can be appreciated in that ugly piece of garbage. Honestly, I don't care what scene or popular showcar antics this car represents; it's a disease, and a stick of dynamite is the cure. Motor that thing onto the stage at Barret Jackson's and the crowd would be laughing their asses off.
  3. I know what it is, and I won't bother typing it; however, the front end of this car looks like it's screaming, "DUUUUH!"
  4. Sweat-shops making a comeback?
  5. I've a collection of PS2 and PS games that I've been slowly getting through. I picked up about five games over the last couple months that I've yet to really begin playing. Since I tend to play long-term games like Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy, I like to finish a game before starting another. The problem is now that I don't always have the time to play them...at least, not as much as I'd like. In the winter it was easy, since there was little to be done outside. Isn't that the ironic thing now, that when we were teens, we'd get annoyed that having to do yardwork or chores for the parents would interfere with our game time. Now, I pray it doesn't rain just so I can actually GET to working in the yard in the evening and weekends. Gaming is now just a rainy-day luxury, if we've caught up on our recorded shows that we miss because of work. Oh, to be a kid again. My wife loves the stories in the Final Fantasy series, so I've been playing them all from #2 (Nintendo), a.k.a. #4 (Japanese release). Will I consider buying a PS3 so I can continue the trend and enjoy other games? Whew! At that price, I'll really have to think about it. I'll likely be playing the other ones still, buying the PS3 when a newer generation will be hitting the market.
  6. I'm of the opinion that the remake would end up like that Knight Rider 4000 car. Dodge Stealth under new skin: http://www.kr2k.com/images/dakitt2000.jpg
  7. I believe that was the same commerical.
  8. Not that I care about this issue much; however, maintenance wasn't an issue. The intake gaskets in the '95 Monte Carlo Z34 I owned went out at 60k kms with little help from me. I replaced them myself, and they really were garbage parts. It seems the tradition continued to the next engine under the hood, the Series II.
  9. Yeah, I laughed like a little school boy when I read that article. The most they can hope to accomplish is to ... hmm, uh, what exactly do they hope to accomplish?
  10. Never have I encountered an educating experience with a dealer salesman. Often, I walk into the place knowing more about the cars on the floor than they would even care to understand. Example: The fiasco of having the dealer replace the head-unit of my wife's car because the salesman was 'certain' it was an MP3 player; which it wasn't, even though she'd pointed that out during the test drive and he seemed to dismiss the question with a completely confident, "Oh yes." Would that kind of information and attention to detail help them sell more? I couldn't tell you; however, would it hurt?
  11. Actually asking, would internal supply and those not found overseas not affect the overall cost, as opposed to eastern nations such as Britain having to rely heavily on the middle-east supply. On the other hand, I`ve stopped trying to understand the situation; this, mostly because everything I`ve read has either been proven incorrect, or the information that makes the most sense turns out to be furthest from the truth. I like walking. Walking is good for me.
  12. But they`re keeping the Optra5...so what sense does this make to drop just the sedan.
  13. Actually, his was pretty tasteful (had no major color contrasts)...Brian`s Tahoe, on the other hand, had bright green racing stripes (fitting the image for Moundain Dew)...but damn was it hideous.
  14. ...also as a matter of opinion as well.
  15. If you're talking SUV, I know the GMT900 Tahoe was used in a "Win a Tahoe customized by Jeff Gordon or Brian Vickers" commercial.
  16. I'm just not feeling it. *shrug* I don't know exactly why, but it doesn't quite appeal to me.

    C6 Z06

Just using glue is not so surprising. Motor homes are built the same way and see far more abuse from the elements and shifty driving conditions. I honestly say that if I owned a Z06 and that happened to me, I'd probably laugh my ass off. Park it, order a new one under warranty, and let the dealer install it. Viola...problem solved. It's a lot easier to replace a lousy roof panel than it is to replace a side-view electric mirror (been there done that).
  18. There's more to the incident off camera than meets the eye. I can't even speculate on that one.
  19. Did this require revisiting?
  20. We all know the 'function' of the grand majority of spoilers on consumer automobiles is purely for looks. Some do need them, for certain, and have been named. I would have to agree with the choices.
  21. Not a personal jab or anything; however, I hope you laughed just as much when it was a Taurus and Intrepid body rolling around the track. The Intrepid will be gone now, but the Fusion jumps into the fray. I'd agree with changing to Pony cars...not that it makes a speck of difference.
  22. Wow, the ones carrying that extra speed into slower traffic sure hated their day. I wonder if that double-bus had any passengers onboard? In any case, there was a whole lot of full underwear on that ride. LOL I couldn't quite understand the one with the two box trucks. You're looking at one, then suddenly two are spinning and sliding on their sides. I gather one tried to make his own lane on the right of another and got squeezed into the wall?
  23. People bought Sunfires because they weren't Cavaliers. People will buy G5s because they aren't Cobalts. ...never mind that Pontiac dealers were bellyaching.
  24. I'm not of the opinion that the market will judge the not-so successful automobiles based on the 'reported' success of a few halo cars. With a parallel situation being the Zeta project, would GM be any better off if they had completed the design phase and began production on the Camaro? I'm thinking money was better spent on futhering development of other product, specifically, GMT900. So I ask, would it not be of more benefit to design and produce the cake first, instead of the icing? Halo cars can only promote themselves if the automobiles beneath them haven't been high on the list of buyers. Does that mean, to me, that Kappa was a waste of time? Not really; however, that doesn't mean it was money well spent at a time like this.
  25. Where I used to work, I set up a surveillance camera in our stock basement to monitor employees for suspected theft. I caught three employees on tape, but that wasn't the end of it. One employee (the nicest of them all) would receive duties from his supervisors, then open the walk-in freezer door between himself and his supervisor and start flipping the bird and gesturing by grabbing his crotch and humping the air while he couldn't be seen. The thing was, the camera was about three feet behind him, in the corner, obscured by a dark floor joist. It didn't end there... One night he ran downstairs, had a few sips from his stash of drinks, eat a few chips...then he disappeared out of sight. Suddenly, I could see his hand from behind one of the floor posts...moving...but I couldn't quite make out what he was doing until he came out in full view, pulling his pecker. I was laughing so hard while reviewing the video that my manager walked in asking what was going on. By then, there was nothing on the screen to see, but I simply said, "You know the expression, 'Jacking off on the job'?" "Yeeeeah," he replied with a look of questioning on his face. "Well, it ain't just an expression, according to ****." "Oh no, you're kidding." "Nope. I got it all on tape." "For crying out loud," my manager paused, then spoke as he walked out the door, "Well, jacking off on the job is one thing...thank god he wasn't f@#king the dog." I nearly pissed myself laughing.
