  1. ...In Lisbon to be exact. So I am driving my new Megane GT Line wagon (purchased June 2012) home after I stopped by the mall to buy a new TV and all of a sudden I distract myself with the radio screen for half a second... When I look ahead, I see a car stopped at a crosswalk. I hit the brakes hard, but since the road was very very slippery due to the 1st real rainfall after the Summer, the car slides and hits the car in front at between 30KPH and 40KPH... No injuries (thankfully!) and the car is running well, but from what I checked in my garage when I got home the repair will include a new front bumper (the fron parking sensors went nuts), new right front headlight unit (car's got HID / directional units - still don't get it how the f*ck did it crack with hhe impact), and apparently the bumper bended the right front fender a bit... And here comes an insurance preimum hike for me, yay! All I have to say, really, is that I feel stupid about my distraction (though this last week was very tough on me - broke up with GF; had hard time at work; all at the same time)... 1st time it happened in 10+ years of driving... An inexcusable distraction!
  2. It's small... and believe me: in bright orange with a flower sticker in the tailgate, it's the perfect chick car!
  3. This. Agreed 100%.
  4. I don't really see the fit between those two. Looks like a way to dump Opel without dumping the Rüsselheim engineering assets, or a way to waste large sums of money in M&A Advisory from some Investment Bank...

  6. Personally, I'd favor a detuned 2.0L DI turbo for the ATS rated at about 210hp.
  7. Re the legroom thing, pretty much expected since the last Malibu was on the LWB version of its platform and this one is on the SWB version. Wonder f it wouldn't have been better to consolidate the FWD offering in a single LWB Epsilon Malibu and free the Impala name for the RWD that is to be called the SS.......

  16. Cool! Speaking of Sweden, this is on my car's CD player right now:

  18. AWD plus non-V8 models would help......... Polarizing styling isn't necessarily bad, as the 1st Bangle-butt 7-Series sales figures (worldwide) prove.........

  20. They have no 3rd brand they can use (BMW's dormant brands are all British sports car nameplates), so doing this leverages the MINI platform (which very good driving machines depite being FWD, BTW) while the coupe/convertible stay RWD renamed as the 2-Series... It is not a strategy totally devoid of sense.
