  1. Interesting discussions going on here, but I'm holding my opinion until more pictures are released.

    ....

    Maybe that's a non-Nav, and the Nav-equipped models will get a pop-up screen?
  3. haha, I dont' think so. The easytronic gear levers are different from regular manual trans :AH-HA_wink:
  4. I actually think the car needs to be fixed, not the picture. But someone dropped the ball on that.
  5. Excessive. They tried too har to make it aggressive, imo. Also, did anyone notice that in the interior shot the car has a manual shifter but only 2 pedals? Funny sh*t!
  6. It's a counter-intuitive move (companies shouldn't sell their best performing assets), but GM is in a state that counter-intuitive moves are necessary. Let's hope the Delphi situation and UAW contrac can be turned around favourably for GM.
  7. Well, I still have some hope in people being fairly responsible, but I acknowledge that it is more likely that some fighting will occur. I don't know anything about US Law, so I have a question: does a contract's termination via the judicial system mean Delphi can fire all of those workers and hire other employees?
  8. Maybe this is just a move to pressure the UAW and GM, but I do hope everyone plays the game in a responsible way.
  9. A conservative and risk-free design, but RWD Aussie cars are conservative and risk-free designs.
  10. I'd bet on that thing being the next-gen CTS or CTS-V dressed in a widened current-gen CTS-V body. Just a bet though, as I'm not an insider.
  11. You should see the "beauties" they'll use in European market Escalades Click here and check them out. There's a rear shot of the Escalade in the gallery.
  12. That car is a Euro-spec car. That's why it has the dark taillights (which are uglier than the red ones, imo) and the amber rear side marker lights. It also has what I believe to be the rear fog lights in the rear bumper, between the exausts.
  13. Don't know. The site has been down for quite some time. I don't know what he/she does for a living, but maybe there was a conflict of interest btween his/her job and the blog. This is just my guess, though...
  14. It's a bargain for sure! I might add that adding content while keeping prices in check is sort of a "positive" incentive scheme, as it impacts consumers favourably.
  15. I know it won't come here as an Opel, but I'm very curious to see how the Outlook turns out!
  16. 1) Let's hope this inspires both GM management and the UAW to take a constructive approach to the US contract negotiations. 2) The Monte Carlo and Impala going AWD? I'm guessing the decisions regarding the W and G bodies replacement haven't been made yet.

    .....

So it's mainly Delphi and GM's own restructuring costs, and not any fallout from SEC investigations. Not so bad news after all. Thanks for posting the AutoNews article, Ghost Dog.

Was this restatement a direct result of the SEC's investigation, or could that investigation lead to further restatements?
  19. What happened to it? I tried to access and it says that account has been deleted...
  20. I didn't know it was because of durability that they only used the 2.0 bore. Maybe they could try combining a supercharger and a turbocharger like in the new VW 1.4L engine.
  21. I'd like to see the 200hp 2.4L 5cyl diesel in the CTS, if it fits. It would broaden the car's appeal here.
  22. I read the 1st BLS review from a Portuguese magazine yesterday: 1. Very positive review in terms of interior quality (materials and assembly), as well as standard/optional equipment. 2. Positive review in terms of driving experience, even though they write that the car is tuned more for "comfort" than for "excitement": it doesn't have the directional effect in the rear suspension (unlike the 9-3), and has different spring/shock tuning than the 9-3. 3. Car tested was a 1.9L diesel and they said that there is more chassis than engine in that version, which I think it's quite positive considering the 2.8L turbo has 105hp more than the 150hp diesel. I'm guessing nr. 2 is the reason why it's called BLS and not BTS, i.e., it's intentionally geared to offering a balance of comfort and driving dynamics over pure performance.
  23. Like the Audi RS4's rear-biased AWD? that would be sweet!
  24. The CTS is not a 3-series sized car: CTS lenght/width/height/wheelbase = 190.1/70.6/56.7/113.4 in. 3-series lenght/width/height/wheelbase = 178.2/71.5/55.9/108.7 in. (Dimensions taken from cadillac.com and caranddriver.com) 12 inches in length is a huge difference. For comparison purposes, here are the BLS dimensions (at 2.54cm per inch): 184.3/69/57.9/105.3 in. Much closer to the 3-series, but somewhat bigger in length. I do agree with your FWD comment. Ideally, next BLS should become RWD, but I don't see GM having the money to develop a small RWD architecture right now.
