  1. Lovely! http://www.hsv.com.au/
  2. I'm dying with compassion for the guy. *sarcasm fully intended* What got my attention there was the accuracy in the report: "24.3 years"
  3. :rotflmao:Now, that's tr00 pimp styling!

    GM at SEMA 2006

Would that be a detuned Blue Devil engine?
  5. Wow! Proof that, with a little effort, even nice cars like Corvettes can be made to look ugly...
  6. I agree regarding the interior design. Tower PC isn't a nice inspiration, IMO...Now for my 2 cents: I believe that if one considers the STS and the SRX, Flint isn't very far off the mark. SRX appears to be an excellent vehicle that was hurt by pricing and by sharing an interior with the CTS at launch (thus sharing the complaints re that interior). From what I've been reading in these boards, the STS is a s-l-o-w seller and some might even call it a dud. It's the new CTS and the next generation STS and SRX (I almost forgot the BRX) that will tell us if Cadillac has what it takes to climb closer to the luxury car references in image and pricing power.
  7. Happy birthday, man! Thursday's my turn to turn 30. How does it feel?

  9. Agreed.
  10. Finally, a telescopic steering wheel! That's the only complaint I have re the current car's driving position. I have no doubt BMW kept the car's fun-to-drive factor, and I hope reliability and build quality improve dramatically, as they are the current car's Achilles' heel. Now, let's see what BMW means when they talk about a new turbo-diesel with two different power levels: I'm thinking it's the PSA 1.6L with 90hp DIN (MINI ONE D) and 110hp DIN (MINI COOPER D), even though the girl who sold me my car said the new COOPER D would have a 120hp engine.
  11. Pressure from a tight deadline I can tolerate. Now, if you're talking pressure from a boss having stuff for us to do sitting on his desk for 3 months, and then waking up one day and remebering it has to be done in a couple of days, I get f-ing pissed off with that kind of pressure! EDIT: I'm taking one 3-hour class a week on Wednesdays, from 6:00pm to 9:00pm, and it is hard to juggle with a full time job. Also, I'm starting Swedish lessons in January, which will add to the hardship... But I'm taking studying as being for a good cause: my personal (and hopefully professional) advancement :AH-HA_wink:
  12. Heavy testing 24/7 and not wanting dealers to see a preproduction car (which usually has little attention to detail in terms of assembly quality) are two reasons that cross my mind. EDIT: I'm thinking the car he saw is probably much more than just a new grille job, but I'd like him to confirm that.
  13. Love the wheels, hate the 2-tone paint job.
  14. The solstice coupe was very, very neat, but the market seems to like folding hardtops more these days. And you have to produce whatever sells...
  15. The black STS I remeber seeing on AH-HA's site just had Euro lights and a different grille, as did the white car on thecarconnection.com, so forgive me for insisting, but are you saying the extensively reworked STS you saw is a very different thing from these pictures?
  16. My condolences.
  17. Maybe they'll go straight for the NG CTS? Just a guess...
  18. 200hp? Assuming we're talking DIN, that's 25hp more than the new Cooper S... Wow!
  19. A new design concept: the "looks-like-Bugs-Bunny's-teeth-grille"! @ Cadillac CTS: was that new STS a facelift or a brand new thing? How big was it compared to the CTS (assuming the clay model was a 1:1 scale model)?
  20. That thing's fugly!

    NOS...

Ahhh, college... I'm working towards my Masters, but those (distant) undergrad years sure were fun! Enjoy college life NOS!
  22. Cool, congrats!
  23. Saab är svensk :AH-HA_wink:
  24. Correct!
